The Litigation Support Team at Leidos currently supporting the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) in Los Angeles, CA has an opening for a **Paralegal** to work in a downtown **Los Angeles, CA DOJ** office performing Paralegal duties. Typical assignments may include the following but not limited to:
+ Works under the direction of Supervisory Paralegal, Project Supervisor or Direct Report.
+ Performs tasks while complying with established procedures
+ Compiles, prepares, and summarizes relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery and in preparation of motions, briefs and other legal documents;
+ Summarizes depositions and other transcripts; maintains case files; performs simple legal research; indexes, tracks and controls document discovery (including documents produced and received in discovery);
+ Indexes, tracks and exhibits and other materials at depositions and at trial.
+ Prepares exhibit cross-references.
+ Assists attorneys in courtroom.
+ Reviews documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria. Other examples of the types of work to be performed include compilation of documents for FOIA, production requests, Congressional inquiries, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
+ **Requires paralegal certificate, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study.**
+ At least one year of litigation paralegal experience or project experience required.
+ Must have basic legal knowledge, including knowledge of standard legal citation to cite check legal motions and memorandum.
+ Must have sufficient experience with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw to perform basic legal research.
+ Thorough knowledge and hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems.
+ Basic familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
+ Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience working in a Government and/or Litigation Support environment in conjunction with basic qualifications, valued.
+ Trial experience very helpful.
+ Experience with Relativity or similar applications.
+ Automated litigation support experience.
+ Current or active clearance.
This position is covered under the Service Contract Act and is subject to minimum requirements. Leidos ensures that all provisions are satisfied. The pay for this position will be $24.29/hr.

Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Business Valuation and/or Litigation Support.
- Existing client/referral relationships and established book of business.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- Must hold one or more Business Valuation certifications such as ASA, CVA, ABV.
- Possess strong accounting, finance, and economics knowledge.
- Strong research and analytical skills with experience in financial analysis and modeling.
- High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills including ability to interact with clients and attorneys.
- Creative problem-solving skills and an ability to work well with teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results within strict timelines.

The Litigation Support Team at Leidos currently supporting the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) in Washington, DC has an opening for a **Records Management/Clerical (Litigation Support)** to perform litigation support via clerical/administrative duties. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the U.S. Department of Justice achieve their mission!
**Typical assignments may include the following but not limited to:**
+ Under the direction of Task Supervisor or Document Management Analyst, performs the following tasks while complying with established procedures for: filing, retrieving, and copying case file materials.
+ Creating witness binders; preparing deposition and trial exhibits.
+ Entering data on-line to case files and other databases.
+ Proofreading, editing, correcting OCR'd text files;
+ Retrieving and blow back documents and digital image media; tabbing, numbering, labeling, assembling documents;
+ Filling out log sheets and reporting on task progress; and performing quality control on the work of peers in all of these areas.
+ Prepares documents for image scanning and performs other document collection related activities, including document screening, and labeling of files to be scanned.
+ Performs simple database searches.
The above mentioned duties may be performed as single functions or in combination with one another. One is expected to perform Document Management Technician duties as defined by the contract
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
+ Ability to perform detailed work consistently, accurately, and under pressure extremely important.
+ Must be able to read and follow instructions.
+ Must be able to understand task, task objectives, and the context of the task in the litigation support effort as a whole.
+ Must take the initiative to ask questions when necessary to complete task correctly (e.g. where instructions are not explicit or appear to be contrary to the task objective).
+ Must have typing/keyboarding skills.
+ Must be knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, database, spreadsheet, imaging, and telecommunications systems.
+ Ability to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure will be very important.
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience working in a Government and/or Litigation Support environment in conjunction with basic qualifications, preferred.
+ Undergraduate degree, preferred.
+ Experience with record management and archiving records (ARU, National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) , etc.), strongly preferred.
+ Current or active clearance.
This position is covered under the Service Contract Act and is subject to minimum requirements. Leidos ensures that all provisions are satisfied. The pay for this position will be $18.31hr.
