Key Responsibilities:
Trust Administration & Compliance:
- Oversee the day-to-day administration of a portfolio of personal trusts, estates, and other fiduciary accounts.
- Ensure all trust accounts comply with the OCC's fiduciary standards, as well as state and federal trust laws.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in fiduciary administration, providing guidance on complex trust structures, regulatory issues, and best practices.
- Work closely with internal risk, legal, and compliance teams to mitigate fiduciary risk and address regulatory requirements.
- Oversee annual and periodic trust reviews to ensure proper administration and risk oversight.
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth individuals and families, addressing their fiduciary needs with expertise and discretion.
- Proactively manage and strengthen existing client relationships, ensuring high levels of service and responsiveness.
- Coordinate with investment, tax, and estate planning professionals to provide holistic financial solutions tailored to clients' needs.
Business Development & Growth:
- Collaborate with internal wealth management, private banking, and estate planning teams to identify opportunities for expanding trust and fiduciary services.
- Assist in the onboarding of new trust accounts and ensure a seamless client experience.
- Represent the bank in industry conferences, client events, and professional networking opportunities to enhance visibility and attract new business.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, law, business administration, or a related field; advanced degrees (JD, MBA) or industry certifications (CTFA, CFP, CPA) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in trust administration within a regulated financial institution, preferably an OCC-regulated bank.
- Extensive knowledge of fiduciary laws, OCC regulations, and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, accountants, and internal stakeholders.
- Sense of humor, great communication skills, empathy and "happy warrior" attitude.
**Salary:**
$102,000.00 - $190,000.00

Other responsibilities include:
- Design and implement strategy to improve service delivery to clients
- Provide solution-oriented planning for high net worth clients including: FLP's, LLC's, S-Corps, C-Corps, etc.; Coordination of wealth strategy planning (i.e., gift, estate and income tax, retirement planning, investment planning, insurance, charitable gifting, asset protection planning, etc.).
- Develop relationships with professionals such as attorneys, financial advisors, and accountants that enhance business opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with the Bank's fiduciary duties in the administration of estate, trust, IRA and custody accounts according to the directives in the will, trust document or investment management, IRA or custody agreement as well as applicable laws statutes, regulations, and UMB policies and procedures.
- Maintain expertise in UMB policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations, as well as industry regulations.
- Manage accounts as assigned.
- Travel to functions, businesses, and client homes in assigned territory
**Requirements**
MINIMUM:
- 10+ years of legal/fiduciary experience
- Experience in management and supervision of professional staff
PREFERRED:
- CTFA/CFP Professional Designation
- JD Degree

$99,750.00 - $214,370.00

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
This is an entry level Personal Trust Officer position, responsible for administering personal trust accounts such as testamentary/intervivos trusts, foundations and agency accounts in accordance with terms specified in the trust instrument. Under general guidance from the trust team, opens and maintains estates, trusts, agency accounts and guardianships. Become familiar with the governing document to interpret terms, responsibilities and duties of the Bank. Receive guidance in understanding provisions of the documents and strategies associated with the assigned accounts. Develop and maintain relationships with clients to help execute day to day administrative functions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of account activity by reviewing various reports. Seek guidance on tax and administration issues.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
* For Trusts where CNB is trustee, reviews and revises paperwork from sales team (e.g., agreements, fee schedules, transfer proxies, receipt of assets, ensure accurate cost basis and tax acquisition dates, obtain any missing information and signatures, etc.). Make corrections and additions to ensure accuracy.
* Prepare new account paperwork, as required.
* Analyze anticipated income to insure sufficient cash is maintained to meet beneficiary distributions, banks fees, trust bills, etc.
* Obtain missing documents from clients.
* For Trust accounts, initiate annual administrative review of accounts. Review files for completed forms, codes, review payments and transactions and for accuracy. Review forms to ensure they are consistent with the Trust Document.
* Produce and review various tax reports for clients and intermediaries. Research tax deficiency notices. Pay estimated taxes and allocates tax payments between principal and income, file returns, and maintains tax calendars. Communicate with Tax Vendor and external intermediaries.
* Gather data for account reconciliation, ensuring distribution requirements are met for charitable trusts, computes distribution amounts for uni-trust accounts and reviews fee agreements between the bank, clients, and Co-Fiduciaries.
* Complete discretionary distribution requests. Submit formal requests to the Trust Officer for approval.
* Coordinate set up, tracking, and monitoring of personal property inventory; real estate, mineral, oil and gas, intellectual properties, and special financial assets. (i.e., notes, loans, partnerships, etc.)
* Provide client service by responding and researching client and colleague inquires by phone, email, and written communications.
* Respond to advisors and intermediaries regarding the administration and maintenance of accounts.
* Fields phone calls from clients and intermediaries.
* Review documents and responses to compliance department, audit and OCC inquiries after research is performed by TA.
* Gather information from clients for projects.
* Prepare draft correspondence letters and memos.
* Maintain new account logs.
* Follow appropriate Regulation 9 process.
* Maintain all appropriate training and continuing education requirements for both internal programs and external licenses and certifications.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
*Required Qualifications**
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
* 3+ years of experience in financial services required
* 3 + years of basic computer experience (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) required
*Additional Qualifications*
* 3+ years of experience in trust administration preferred
* Strong written and verbal communications skills
* Ability to gather, arrange, compile, interpret, analyze, summarize and evaluate information and data to identify opportunities and formulate conclusions and recommended actions
* Ability to set priorities, and objectives
* Trust Certificate and/or CTFA a plus

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Senior Team Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with registered investment advisors, trust beneficiaries, and other interested parties for an assigned book of business consisting of large family relationships and key investment advisor relationships. You will:
+ Manage, mentor, and coach a team of Trust Officers and Senior Trust Officers to ensure trust accounts are administered in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and procedures.
+ Personally administer an assigned book of complex and/or high touch personal trust accounts.
+ Interpret legal documents to ensure that each trust either in their assigned book of accounts or in the book assigned to their team members is administered in accordance with the terms of each governing instruments.
+ Maintain high client service levels through prompt research and response to registered investment advisors and trust beneficiaries for their assigned trusts and for escalation from members of their team.
+ Prepare and present discretionary memorandums for review and approval of the Discretionary Distributions Committee as well as mentor team members in their preparation and presentation.
+ Prepare Distribution Memorandum and/or other directed distribution documentation for review by the appropriate authorizing parties as well as mentor team members in their preparation.
+ Ensure proper administration and accounting for special asset inventory in their assigned book of accounts as well as mentor team members in their administration and accounting efforts.
+ Coordinate efforts with Schwab business partners for purposes of client research and service as well as recommending needed system and procedural enhancements.
+ Respond to initial inquiries from Schwab advisors, third party contacts, and private individuals regarding both current and future trust prospects on their assigned book of accounts or upon escalation from their team members.
+ Perform Post Acceptance and Annual administrative account reviews for assigned accounts.
+ Participate in special projects as needed.
+ Provide training and support to the Administrative Team in coordination with the Director.
**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY**
+ The position of Senior Manager carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Bank's policies and complies with all laws, rules, and regulations applicable to the position.

+ Bachelor's degree or higher, CTFA preferred, or equivalent work experience
+ Experience with directed trusts, preferred.
