The likely hourly rate for this position is between $23.80 - $32.20. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Lead Marine has immediate openings for 1st Class Marine Electricians in the San Diego Naval Shipyard Industry. Must have navy repair/marine electrical or prior military electrical experience. Must be DBIDs Badge eligible to gain access to Naval Bases.

Responsibilities:

• Understand basic Electrical and Electronic fundamentals.
• Understand shipboard electrical systems to include both 115- and 450-volt ungrounded systems
• Can perform connect and disconnect of electrical gear to include pumps, motors, and controllers.
• Be capable of Preventative Maintenance Requirements (PMS) on 3000 Series MIPS for shipboard systems.
• Accomplish inspections and assessment of electrical equipment to include inspections of damaged or deranged electrical systems.
• Open, pack and close MCT.
• Accomplish all facility electrical repairs to include install conduit, electrical boxes jay boxes, light switches light fixtures, circuit breakers, wrong wire, repair controllers as needed.
• Trouble shoot fundamental electrical components in support of AC /heating and ventilation systems repair.
• Troubleshoot fundamental electrical component in support of Galley and Scullery shipboard systems.

• Familiar with NAVSEA STD Items 009-22, 009-23 and 009-73
• Accomplish electrical hook-up IAW disconnect sheets/drawings

Navy Shipboard Electrician

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance, assessments, inspections, troubleshooting, corrective actions, adjustments/repairs, and grooms on Naval Surface ships' electrical and Interior Communication systems
• Observe and/or conduct cold and hot checks of equipment, note condition and parameters for any out-of-specification readings or settings
• Observe the operation of the equipment by the ship's force to witness the full range of performance
• Use appropriate measuring/test equipment to obtain data for evaluation
• Provide written visit debrief and reports
• Attend conferences and meetings as required
• Provide On-The-Job Training to ship's force during shipboard evolutions
• Interpret wiring diagrams and control schematics

Minimum Requirements:

• Two (2) years of experience in availability planning, modernization, repair, and testing of shipboard equipment and systems
• Four (4) years of experience in the administration of the Navy 3-M and supply system
• One (1) year of experience as a technical instructor and IMA Quality assurance inspector
• Must have an active secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to maintain a secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Five (5) years of experience within the last ten (10) years with shipboard power distribution, interior communications, or electronic systems repair and maintenance, including qualification as a CIC Watch Supervisor or Chief Electrical Watch on a conventional powered ship or as a load dispatcher on a nuclear-powered ship or similar commercial qualification
• Current certification as a level 1 thermographer (Infrared Survey) and have 2 years of general electrical/IC experience onboard marine vessels

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Administer the Naval Ship Tracking, Reporting, and Analysis Tool (NSTRAT) system to monitor applications and services, identify issues, and ensure system availability
• Develop, test, and maintain software tools to support data analysis and event reconstruction
• Perform database entry, management, and monitoring of automated backup processes
• Conduct database query analysis to support reporting, system troubleshooting, and data-driven decision-making

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Minimum of five (5) years of Navy experience managing Navy computer networks
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience using Python and other programming tools to script data analysis products
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven ability to prepare technically accurate reports, briefings, and correspondence
• Ability to obtain and maintain FLANKSPEED IL6 AZURE Privileged Access through certifications and/or training, including:
  
  • AZURE Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
  • IAT Level II certification in accordance with DoD 8750 Approved Baseline
  • Other certifications as required by FLANKSPEED IL6 services

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Azure administration and cloud services
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL for data analysis and system support
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems and ensure secure, reliable operation in Navy environments
