Job Description
We are seeking a Engineering / Technical Manager to lead, develop, and drive the engineering team to improve process reliability, technology advancement, and support improvement projects for our Labels and Packaging manufacturing facility in Peachtree City, GA. With mentorship and leadership from the Plant Manager, you will lead a team of process engineers to improve the manufacturing processes to drive step change improvements in product quality and site productivity.
Your primary responsibilities and essential functions of this position include:
+ Safety: Promote safety as the most important value in the organization by contributing through training, project management and other EHS responsibilities.
+ Process Safety Management: Lead for applicable Management of Change and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews systems. Drive improvement in these processes.
+ Collaborate with other plants/divisions to identify and implement operational and technical standard methodologies.
+ Ensure that all manufacturing equipment has established standard operating conditions (process settings/recipes) for each product or product family, to optimize product quality and productivity.
+ Run/control cost center and capital project portfolio to achieve targeted results.
+ Apply rigorous observation and analytical tools to identify and execute projects focused on safety, quality, operating cost, efficiency, and fulfillment of customer expectations.
+ Facilitate/collaborate with other functions to ensure project objectives are aligned with division and plant objectives.
+ Assess, select, and handle external contractors for project and service requirements.
+ Member of plant leadership team with leadership responsibilities both within primary function and beyond.
+ Actively participate in monthly Process Linkage meetings across sites to share best practices and solicit help from the North American technical network.
+ Provide training, leadership, performance planning, and feedback to develop direct reports and others.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering field.
+ 10+ years experience in plant operation/engineering.
+ Experience with process safety management.
+ Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems (including automation control, AC and DC drives, mechanical drives and systems, PLCs, sensors, and motor controls) and facilities systems.
+ Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to influence and motivate others to excel.
+ Validated ability to prioritize projects concurrently in a dynamic factory environment.
+ Ability to work with others in a team environment. Actively promote collaboration & teamwork and resolve conflicts.
+ Strong organization and computer skills - Google, Lotus Notes, MINITAB, AutoCAD, Agility Core, Rockwell RS software.
Preferred:

ProSidian seeks an ISD Technical Engineering Consultant - GSSC (Full-Time) to support an engagement for the US Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford. This position is located in the CONUS - Northwest Region.

The ISD Technical Engineering Consultant will provide comprehensive services in the areas of protective design, research and testing, modeling and simulation, physical security, and data science. Our interdisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and security experts stands ready to tackle the hard problems facing our clients.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Richland Operations (RL), Assistant Manager to the Mission Support (AMMS) requires The ISD Technical Engineering Consultant support for infrastructure projects.

The ISD Technical Engineering Consultant shall provide support in the following areas:

  • Assist with Assessment of Hanford prime contractor's technological approach associated with infrastructure projects.
  • Assist with the review and evaluation of design and construction reports and documents for electrical transmission and distribution systems.
  • Assist in managing agreements and interfaces with the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).
  • Assist with the coordination of interfaces with the Hanford contractor and BPA.
  • Assist with the review and evaluation of design and construction by BPA.
  • Review and provide written summary evaluations of BPA design & construction.
  • Work with Hanford contractor to understand designs, construction documents, and statement of work documents.
  • Review project design and construction contract scopes of work.
  • Assist with the review, analysis, and evaluation of contractor procurement process for design and construction.
  • Assist with oversight of system and component testing (developmental, acceptance, qualification, etc.), commissioning, and operational readiness preparations.
  • Assist with reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating baseline schedules and costs associated with the project work scopes.
  • Provide routine reports to document oversight of field activities.
  • Assist with reviewing and evaluating risk associated with the project work scopes.
  • Complete required training (e.g., HGET, etc.) to access the work areas
  • Provide status reports of contractor performance to Infrastructure and Services Division.

Qualifications

The ISD Technical Engineering Consultant - GSSC shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.

The REL ISD Technical Engineering Consultant personnel shall possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 10 years of relevant experience in the Electrical Utility Industry
  • Experience with design and construction of electrical transmission and distribution systems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Skilled in problem identification and resolution
  • Knowledge in estimating and scheduling practices tools such as P6
  • Some knowledge of the Hanford site, preferred
  • Identification of any conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with any Hanford Site contractors.

Job Description

The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to field sales representatives, channel partners, and direct customers. This role includes recommending appropriate products based on application needs, troubleshooting technical issues, conducting product failure analysis, and offering field service support.

  • Provide product recommendations based on customer applications, service requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with field sales representatives to ensure accurate and timely product selection. Develop Standardization Strategies, Consideration of standard product, drawings, materials, and delivery.
  • Assist customers and channel partners with troubleshooting technical issues and diagnosing product failures.
  • Work closely with internal engineering teams to conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective actions.
  • Establish Reliability Performance Matrix as required to support customer focus. 
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support for product installations, commissioning, and maintenance.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving technical issues promptly and effectively.
  • Provide technical assistance to internal office operations, including order processing, customer inquiries, and documentation. Support cross-departmental collaboration to streamline processes and improve customer service. Proactively identify and resolve technical and operational challenges.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and channel partners to drive loyalty and long-term business growth.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities will vary based upon departmental needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required, ME .
  • Experience with mechanical seals, rotating equipment and basic engineering principles Knowledge of, work order variances, QAD, MFG-PRO, SAP,  or equivalent
  • Previous participation in continuous improvement activities including but not limited to Kaizen, SMED, and Lean activities or equivalent.
  • Moderate level of understanding of the financial aspects of a manufacturing operation.
  • Capable of handling multiple priorities simultaneously in a high-stress environment.
  • Effective training, leadership, facilitation, influencing, negotiating, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective written and verbal business communications
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Experience working in a diverse environment with a global company is a plus.

The Technical Engineering Training Specialist is responsible for developing and conducting training programs for Internal and External customers for the complete Stago Product line (instruments, reagents and digital products), giving the customer the highest level of understanding, functionality and operation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing training on the Stago line of products (instruments, reagents and digital products) to all new hire Engineers on all system types from installation through to decommission. This can be in person (Training Center in Parsippany, NJ or at the customer facility), virtual or streaming training events.
  • Responsible for providing training on the Stago line of products (instruments, reagents and digital products) to all customer BMETs (Biomed Engineers) when requested from annual PMs and basic curatives. This can be in person (Training Center in Parsippany, NJ or at the customer facility), virtual or streaming training events.
  • Provide lectures to internal and external customers on the complete Stago Product line (instruments, reagents and digital products), addressing safety, installation, programming, maintenance, troubleshooting and operation of the analyzer, following the course outline, handouts, exercises and administering tests. Demonstrates procedures being taught, such as programming, troubleshooting and repair. This can be in person (Training Center in Parsippany, NJ or at the customer facility), virtual or streaming training events.
  • Administers written and practical examinations and provides all employee grades to Training Coordinator and / or Director TSG.
  • Maintains training department equipment in excellent working condition, units are current on PMs and TBs, this includes customer instruments, FSG training instruments and the instruments in the VIP space.
  • Observes trainees in classroom and answers trainees' questions.
  • Annually, or as needed, review material to update the training program to ensure continuous improvement. Ensures retired documents are properly archived and only new material is presented. Work on projects as requested by Director TSG.
  • Participates in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to obtain information useful to training facility and integrates information into training program.
  • Ensures that all Engineers and BMET classes have functioning analyzers, proper reagents and printed material prior to the class starting.
Education and Requirements
  • BS degree in related field from an accredited four year college or university required in the field of Engineering; Minimum of 2 to 4 years Stago experience or 3 to 5 years related outside experience required, some training experience preferred.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software, Microsoft Office Suite. All company usable software.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Demonstrated typing / key boarding skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally, if needed. Up to 10% travel may be required.
