You must have approval from the supervising faculty member and be approved by the district.
APPLICATION PROCESS
- After obtaining approval from the supervising faculty member and district personnel, the candidate submits an application.
- The intern will complete the online unpaid internship application and acknowledgement of volunteer policies, procedures, and responsibilities.
- The intern will be required to complete criminal background checks and fingerprints and assume the cost of the background check ($60.75).
- Some interns may be required to complete additional trainings.
Please note that the Lincoln Parish School Board policy and Louisiana law consider the crimes listed below as prohibited criminal offenses as set forth in Louisiana R.S. 15:587.1, and include convictions for attempt or conspiracy to commit any of these offenses. Conviction or plea of nolo contendere, even if adjudication was withheld, will be considered for the purpose of determining volunteer eligibility. The City and County Of Broomfield Department of Human Services is seeking empathetic and self-motivated students for non-paid, temporary internship opportunity in our Child Adult and Family Services Division!
The internship start date and schedule are flexible, and the number of hours per week varies depending on department need and school requirements.

Position Overview: This internship is reserved for graduate students enrolled in a Masters of Social Work program. Interns will shadow caseworkers, assist with follow-up tasks and responsibilities, observe case staffing, and engage in supervised client interactions. Additionally they will observe while caseworkers perform the following: assess the functioning of clients in the context of their chosen environments; identify strengths and needs; develop case plans; determine their capacity to make life choice decisions; coordinate the delivery of services from community agencies; document cases; prepare reports, and more.
Interns will have the opportunity to complete the colorado child welfare training academy to become a certified caseworker. This will allow interns to complete assessments regarding abuse and/or neglect allegations. Once becoming certified, interns would be able to carry a modified caseload.

Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Enrollment in a Masters of Social Work program
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a driver's license and safe driving record.
- Work is generally between scheduled Monday and through Friday with some evening, weekend and holiday hours as required.
- Work may involve on-call duty after hours and on holidays/weekends which requires the incumbent to be available to respond within one hour of notification.
- Within six months of internship (or earliest scheduled opportunity) complete Fundamentals of Colorado Child Welfare Casework Practice training.
- For continued internship, must pass pre-requisite background requirements for Social Caseworker Certification and maintain annual certification per CCR 7.603.1 requirements.
- If assigned to adult protection, within six months of assignment appointment, must obtain a Colorado Adult Protection Caseworker certification and maintain annual certification per 12 CCR 2518-1.

About the Development Department
Development Department purpose is to develop strategic ways of generating: Revenue, Resources, and Community Outreach for the ultimate sustainability and growth of the organization. This is done by engaging donors to purposefully contribute: by giving monetary donations, connecting UCP to their employee giving programs, becoming a volunteer, or connecting a corporation to support our Champions in Life Night Gala . The Development Team also engages donors through our annual report, community news letters, and different social media platforms to create community awareness of our services.
Funds raised support the UCP's mission: to provide comprehensive services to individuals with disabilities and their families by providing physical and developmental support as well as educational growth which is the foundation for independent living. "Live without Limits".
Position Function
The intern will be responsible for activities and projects that will advance the efforts of the Development Department at UCP of Central Arizona.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Prospect Research
- Conduct research on new or existing donors to identify their connection to the organization, mission, and/or potential to support. Update donor contact information.
- Develop profiles for prospective donors.
- Conduct research on individuals, corporate and community foundations.
- Identify community connections and networks to UCP's mission
- Special event support, including fundraisers and engagement events.
- Shadow various program members to learn about the services UCP provides
- Designated time in program settings will ensure that the intern is exposed to direct services administered to UCP members and families
- Engage with members in various programs on campus to assist with curriculum creation, administration and serve in the program as development intern liaison
Minimum Experience: Must be enrolled in a four-year accredited institution, demonstrate excellent academic progress, and active university student status. Communications, Journalism, or Business Administration majors preferred.

**BAYADA Hospice is looking for Volunteers in New Castle County!**
**BAYADA Hospice** is currently seeking candidates for our **Hospice Volunteer** position to be a part of our team in our office located in **Wilmington, Delaware** . This office services clients in territories throughout **New Castle and Kent County.**

At **BAYADA Hospice** , we believe that our clients and their families deserve care delivered with compassion, excellence, and reliability. Your important work will help ensure that our clients come first and that our BAYADA caregivers have the support they need to be successful. The **Volunteer, Hospice Services** is a member of the Hospice Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) who provides assistance to clients, families, and caregivers with home management, emotional support, and other supportive tasks related to terminal illness and end of life.
**Volunteers Needed For:**
+ Assistance with home management tasks.
+ Providing companionship and friendship to clients.
+ Providing caregiver relief.
+ Specialty areas: Veteran-to-Veteran Support, Reiki, Massage, Pet Therapy, Craft Volunteer, End of Life Doula
+ Sharing special talents, such as music or art.
+ Providing assistance as a transport escort, as needed.
+ Assisting with clerical work and other office tasks.
+ Memorial Service Planning.
+ Bereavement support to loved ones.
**Qualifications:**
+ Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English.
+ Have a criminal background check completed, as per state requirements.
+ Meet all state requirements for volunteers, where applicable.
+ Meet the BAYADA requirements and state regulations for the discipline, if providing professional services.
