Job Description

Our Real Estate Valuation and Advisory Services (REVS) team is recruiting for a new Financial Analyst. We have availability in our Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, and New York offices. As a Financial Analyst, you will review and analyze complex real estate models, conduct market and financial research regarding real estate supply, demand, pricing and investment parameters; including in-market interviews, data gathering and confirmation of comparable transactions as well as utilizing data subscription sources. The Financial Analyst will work with other Analysts, Associates, and Officers to execute valuation advisory work, often in connection with high profile real estate transactions. You will work with many leading REITs, real estate private equity firms, and real estate operators, analyzing and valuing their investments for a variety of purposes.

The Financial Analyst will work with a highly talented and dedicated staff of professionals who will give broad exposure to the many different issues and concerns affecting real estate businesses and investors today. Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • Work alongside Analysts, Associates, and Officers valuing commercial real estate investments across various asset classes (multifamily, retail, industrial, hospitality, and more).
  • Be actively involved in various client engagements, including valuation and advisory work related to investor and financial reporting, due diligence, and transaction opinions.
  • Collect, manipulate, and analyze property, market and financial data.
  • Acquire knowledge of the use and capabilities of subscription data sources and software, including Costar, REIS, Green Street, Real Capital Analytics, Marshall Valuation Services, ARGUS, etc.
  • Analyze historic property operating statements and analyze leases.
  • Assist Associates and Officers in the preparation of complex cash flow models using Excel and/or ARGUS software, including analyzing available data to estimate revenues, costs, and rates of return.
  • Estimate value of real estate investments at various levels of the capital stack, including asset-level valuations, equity valuations, preferred equity valuations, and debt valuations.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to team and clients, including graphic and written sections.
  • Assist in marketing pitches, real estate thought leadership articles, and other ad-hoc duties.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of real estate industry experience, with a preference towards direct real estate valuation experience demonstrating analytical capabilities.
  • A strong interest in real estate advisory work (ie, valuation consulting).

  • Proficiency with Excel (particularly modeling skills, writing macros, etc.) and PowerPoint
  • Experience in ARGUS is strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving and communication skills
  • Possession of or progress towards real estate industry certification licenses, such as MAI, CCIM, certified general real estate appraiser
  • CPA, CFA or other financial credential a plus
  • Willingness to travel

Job Description

Our Real Estate Valuation and Advisory Services (REVS) team is recruiting for a new Financial Analyst. We have availability in our Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, and New York offices. As a Financial Analyst, you will review and analyze complex real estate models, conduct market and financial research regarding real estate supply, demand, pricing and investment parameters; including in-market interviews, data gathering and confirmation of comparable transactions as well as utilizing data subscription sources. The Financial Analyst will work with other Analysts, Associates, and Officers to execute valuation advisory work, often in connection with high profile real estate transactions. You will work with many leading REITs, real estate private equity firms, and real estate operators, analyzing and valuing their investments for a variety of purposes.

The Financial Analyst will work with a highly talented and dedicated staff of professionals who will give broad exposure to the many different issues and concerns affecting real estate businesses and investors today. Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • Work alongside Analysts, Associates, and Officers valuing commercial real estate investments across various asset classes (multifamily, retail, industrial, hospitality, and more).
  • Be actively involved in various client engagements, including valuation and advisory work related to investor and financial reporting, due diligence, and transaction opinions.
  • Collect, manipulate, and analyze property, market and financial data.
  • Acquire knowledge of the use and capabilities of subscription data sources and software, including Costar, REIS, Green Street, Real Capital Analytics, Marshall Valuation Services, ARGUS, etc.
  • Analyze historic property operating statements and analyze leases.
  • Assist Associates and Officers in the preparation of complex cash flow models using Excel and/or ARGUS software, including analyzing available data to estimate revenues, costs, and rates of return.
  • Estimate value of real estate investments at various levels of the capital stack, including asset-level valuations, equity valuations, preferred equity valuations, and debt valuations.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to team and clients, including graphic and written sections.
  • Assist in marketing pitches, real estate thought leadership articles, and other ad-hoc duties.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of real estate industry experience, with a preference towards direct real estate valuation experience demonstrating analytical capabilities.
  • A strong interest in real estate advisory work (ie, valuation consulting).

  • Experience in ARGUS is strongly preferred

Our Real Estate Valuation and Advisory Services (REVS) team is recruiting for a new Financial Analyst. We have availability in our Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, and New York offices.   • Review, finalize, and sign off on valuation reports, ensuring consistency, defensibility, and adherence to best practices and applicable standards.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, effectively communicating scope, process, findings, and recommendations to clients and their advisors (e.g., attorneys, CPAs, wealth advisors).
  • Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance, real-time feedback, and training.
  • Collaborate across service lines to deliver cohesive, value-added solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Support business development, including scoping new opportunities, developing proposals, pricing engagements, and identifying additional areas of client value.
  • Identify enterprise value-enhancing strategies and proactively introduce planning ideas to clients and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field required.
  • Professional designation such as CPA, ABV, ASA, CFA, or CVA (or progress toward) preferred.
  • 5–8 years of business valuation experience, with demonstrated proficiency in both compliance and consulting engagements.
  • Demonstrated strength in analytical thinking and advanced financial modeling
  • Proficient in leveraging technology and analytical tools to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and consistently meet deadlines
  • Clear and effective communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences
  • Collaborative team member who contributes to a positive and productive work environment
  • Creative problem-solver with a proactive and innovative mindset.

Preferred Experience:

  • Exposure to transaction advisory, succession planning or private equity environments.

About The Role The Senior Valuation Analyst is responsible for the overall pricing process within Enterprise Data Services as it applies to fixed income securities, exchange-traded equities and derivatives, as well as currencies.
