Cornerstone University is looking for an energetic and creative Social Media & Video Content Coordinator to join our Marketing & Communications team. This entry-level role is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to develop and share content that brings the Cornerstone experience to life on social media. Youll work closely with the marketing team to create engaging video content, capture on-campus events, and build connections with current and prospective students through powerful storytelling.
Location: Cornerstone University, Grand Rapids, MI
Schedule: Full-time, with flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed to cover campus events
Salary: $48,000-$52,000 annually, commensurate with skills, experience, and credentials
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Management: Work with Assistant Marketing Director and Videographer to develop and implement social media strategies across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube) to increase engagement, grow our audience, and promote Cornerstones mission and values.
- Campus Photography: Capture and edit photography for social channels, website and graphic design use, focusing on student life, events, and the unique campus experience at Cornerstone.
- Video Content Creation: Film and edit short-form videos and stories for social channels, capturing student life, events, and the unique campus experience at Cornerstone.
- Event Coverage: Attend and cover campus events on nights and weekends as needed, creating real-time social media updates and event recaps to showcase our vibrant community.
- Community Engagement: Interact with followers, respond to messages, and foster a positive online presence by engaging authentically with our audience.
- Collaborative Projects: Work closely with departments across campus to support various initiatives, highlighting academic programs, athletics, student organizations, and more.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience managing social media platforms and creating content for an organization, brand, or personal projects.
- A background in photography and/or videography with a desire to work in both areas.
- Proficiency in video editing software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro) and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong communication skills and an eye for compelling visuals and storytelling.
- Edit short and long-form videos for university website and social media accounts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Manage and catalog digital video assets for intuitive access across relevant teams
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Ability to work with faculty and staff on campus and maintain a good working relationship with them.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to cover events on campus.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Working with other campus creatives to solve video problems, such as audio, image quality, etc.

Basic Qualifications

Job Summary
The Office for Global Engagement is seeking a creative and motivated student to join our team as a Social Media & Video Coordinator for the Fall 2025 semester. This position is perfect for students who are passionate about storytelling, filming & editing video, social media, and creating content that spotlights the many ways the University of Utah is engaging internationally.
As a Student Outreach & Media Coordinator, you’ll help create video, social media, blog posts, photography, and more. You’ll work closely with staff and other students to spotlight “Global U” initiatives. If you have a background in video production, graphic design, digital content creation, and storytelling this role is a great opportunity to build your skills and support the international work of the U.
About the Office for Global Engagement
The Office for Global Engagement is the University of Utah’s administrative campus hub for cross-cultural education, mobility, outreach and scholarship. We provide the leadership, infrastructure and best practices in support of campus global initiatives.
This role may also work closely with the Learning Abroad and International Student & Scholar Services offices, as well as the Utah Asia Campus.
Responsibilities
Social Media Management

Create and schedule photo, video, and written content that supports the Office for Global Engagement’s marketing strategy.

Monitor analytics and prepare monthly performance reports with insights and recommendations.

Stay up to date on social media trends and platform updates to maintain relevance and engagement.

Respond to comments and engage with other social media accounts.

Occasionally assist with additional social media content creation for departments within Office for Global Engagement (Learning Abroad, International Student and Scholar Services, Utah Asia Campus) as assigned.
Video Creation

Under the direction of the OGE Marketing Manager, develop and execute creative video concepts that align with the university’s mission and values and OGE’s strategic goals.

Utilize your expertise in video production to shoot, edit, and produce high-quality videos

Manage the entire video production process, including pre-production planning, on-set direction, and post-production editing

Ensure that all videos adhere to the university’s branding guidelines and standards
Additional Responsibilities

Assist with general office duties, such as answering phones, greeting guests, maintaining the marketing supply closet, space cleaning and upkeep, assisting students, etc.

Represent the Office for Global Engagement at events, tabling functions, and presentations for campus & community partners

This position schedules and executes video shoots, works with colleagues and both internal and external subjects to shape messaging, style, and scope of video projects, and assists with drafting scripts and other written content in support of the Department of Athletics projects. This position is essential in implementing strategic campaigns that involve digital photo and video components. This position is involved from concept and storyboarding to scheduling, scouting and reserving locations, obtaining permissions, filming, editing, and producing content that meets project objectives, reinforces communication strategy, and aligns with the BU Athletics brand. Must be able to envision and shape ideas generated from various constituents of the Department and will require an ability to work conceptually with individual products developed through an ongoing process between the videographer and the internal client rather than a set of directives. This position will work closely to design campaigns and provide the technical expertise to ensure concepts are translated into the digital deliverable. During selected shoots, this position will be the lead, making real-time decisions related to the shoot. During post-production, this position will make choices in terms of editing the video and then work with the Communications team and client to ensure the product is impactful and meets objectives.

The Amazon Prime Video Studios team is seeking an exceptional and passionate Senior Lead Creative Advertising professional to develop innovative, award-winning, and effective 360° creative advertising campaigns that drive viewership of our original series and movies. This role will manage and guide a creative team while crafting thoughtful, premium, and best-in-class campaigns that connect with customers across all channels.
The ideal candidate will be a creative leader with proven team management experience, able to inspire and direct creative talent while delivering expertise in audiovisual (AV), print, social, and experiential creative advertising and marketing initiatives. Previous experience in entertainment marketing is essential.
Key job responsibilities
Creative Thinking
- Personally ideate and develop innovative long-lead creative advertising campaigns that tell stories, connect with customers, and drive viewership of our highest priority original series and movies.
- Maintain a strong point of view (POV) and creative vision, with the ability to provide clear, concise direction to internal and external partners.
- Craft high-level creative briefs and presentation decks.
- Prepare photo shoot briefs, sketches, and comps that effectively communicate concepts and campaign direction.
- Drive consensus for your campaigns by clearly articulating creative strategies and presenting concepts to peers, senior studio leadership, and executive producers/filmmakers.
- Solve cross-functional business, customer, and stakeholder requirements while creating breakthrough creative work.

Creative Execution
- Lead the execution of key campaign creative assets within budget and on time.
- Elevate the creative output of internal resources and agency partners to ensure all marketing assets meet high standards of creativity, innovation, and brand association.
- Manage highly visible and complex projects with wide impact across the business, spanning multiple territories, teams, and platforms.
- Effectively direct and manage the development of all creative assets for campaigns, including but not limited to: trailers, TV spots, key art, out-of-home (OOH), digital, social, merchandising, and experiential.
- Forecast resourcing needs and work with key stakeholders to drive project schedules while prioritizing and using resources effectively.
- Manage blockers or obstacles in the creative process with confidence and clear communication.
- Identify and implement appropriate processes to ensure an efficient and effective workflow.
- Facilitate meetings with all levels of management, both internal and external.
- Collaborate with the team to allocate, manage, and track budgets for creative asset development.
Leadership
- Promote collaboration with internal stakeholders and foster positive agency relationships to achieve high-level outcomes.
- Work with senior leadership to create policies, procedures, and best practices that impact the broader department.
- Proactively work to solve problems, communicate with senior management, and actively seek clarification when there is ambiguity.
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of entertainment marketing experience at or with a creative/advertising agency, network, streaming service, or studio
- Experience managing and leading creative teams
Preferred Qualifications
- A strong portfolio of work showing creative innovation with the ability to articulate big and breakthrough ideas in print, outdoor, AV, social, digital, events and experiential
- Experience building strategic relationships with stakeholders, including cross-functional communication and collaboration
- Proven success in creative project management and execution across all forms of media, print, video, social and digital mass media.
- Experience defining workflows within marketing, production, or creative departments/companies
- Has developed campaign(s) for global launch with unique creative in territory
- Deep knowledge of storytelling, world-building and the customer journey
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Able to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a sharp attention to detail
- Experience leading process improvements and/or operations tool implementations
- Experience working with digital asset management tools
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
- Bachelor's degree
