This position will be based at our Kohler, Wisconsin location. We specialize in manufacturing high-quality cast iron products.
The current job opening requires weekend work.Standard work schedule will involve working Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday every week and either Friday and Saturday (with Sunday and Monday off) or working Sunday and Monday (with Friday and Saturday off). Weekend work is rotatedmonthlyand a work schedule is set at the beginning of the year.
**Crafting Excellence: Your Responsibilities**
+ GPOperator position requires the operator to learn all jobs in the department.
+ GP makes glass and mills it into powder for use in the enameling areas.
+ Primary job functionsincludemoving bulk bags offritto and from inventory; loading material into the batching system; preparation of ground coat slurry; preparation of white and colored enamel powders for the enameling areas.
+ GP Operators: are on their feet most of the day; work on their own for most of the jobs
+ Must be able tooperateaforklift.
+ GP Operators are required to wear a respirator as part of their job and thus must beclean-shavenat all times.
+ GP Operators do frequent bending and lifting (max 50 pounds) during the day.
+ The GP department is located in a4 storybuilding, so climbing stairs to get to the various jobs is required.

- You will be moving large pieces of glass from one location to the next short distance
- Physical job.
- 1st- 7:00a-4:00 pm (1hr unpaid lunch)- Mon- Friday
2nd-4:00p-12:30a (1/2hr unpaid lunch)- Sunday- Thursday
3rd- 9p-6a (1hr unpaid lunch)- This shift does run production, but they are also loading product. – Sunday - Thursday
Family-owned business works with glass in all industries other then windows (shower door, hotels, balconies, Etc.). Shower door business is about 60% of their business.
Pay increase to $9.00- 20.00 once hired direct.
Full benefits once hired direct and 401k after 1 yr.
PPE/Dress code - MUST where a cut shirt supplied by company as well as gloves. Jeans, work pants & Steel toes.
