Job Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with patients about glasses, frames and lenses options
- Assisting patients in selecting frames, lenses and lens options in our optical
- Measure and fit glasses accurately and efficiently
- Repair and/or adjust glasses/frames as needed
- Dispensing of glasses and contact lenses to patients

Job Requirements:

**Job Duties:**
+ Operate various machines including diamond turning, conventional polishing, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) polishers and grinders, and Magnetorheological Finishing (MRF).
+ Perform various functions associated with the fabrication of optical components such as profiling, cutting, milling, grinding, beveling, blocking, polishing, edging, cleaning and testing using appropriate machines and equipment.

**Job Summary:**
This individual will play a key role in assembling, aligning and troubleshooting laser systems in cutting edge defense and industrial technologies. Daily activities include working in laser labs with team members and possibly within a Class 1000 Cleanroom environment. The individual should understand diode pumped lasers and ideally unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV/drone) technology. Additionally, this Technician should understand polarized light, the role of wave plates within a laser system, as well as active and passively Q Switched lasers. **Primary Duties & Responsibilities:**
+ Integration of various laser and UAV sub-assemblies in order to produce fully functioning laser modules and UAV drones.

+ Inspect all components under a stereo microscope, before and after assembly.

Job Description
You will support manufacturing objectives and goals through various manufacturing techniques used in the Optical Sizing process. Responsibilities include performing daily operations, inspecting own work, following all safety and environmental guidelines and producing work that demonstrates and promotes company values. Responsible for maintaining a quality work environment that follows company polices, practices, and guidelines.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic reading and math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Education & Experience
- 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with operating automated equipment
- Ability to read and understand process procedures and inspection criteria
- Experience with networked PC based computer systems (MS Office, spreadsheets, Email, and MRP systems)
- Strong understanding of MES data input
- A minimum of 1-2 years' experience with Optical Sizing machinery
Skills
- Capable of applying basic math to product activities
- Ability to understand and interpret product drawings (blueprints)
- Ability to meet tight time schedules
- Familiarity with precision optics manufacturing and metrology

Major Duties And Responsibilities:
- Greets guests without delay when they enter the store.
- Determines the reason for the guest's visit; in store explains how to shop at Target Optical; in Doctor's office explains all required paperwork, tests, products and services as well as the appropriate time frame.
- Is attentive to details; reviews prescriptions and/or patient information carefully; identifies special needs, consulting with Opticians, Doctor or Retail Management when necessary.
- Shows patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult guests and patients.
- Performs work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and guest volume. Identifies situations involving unsatisfied guests and acts quickly for resolution.
- Demonstrates knowledge of appointment book/scheduling procedures and computer operation/procedures.
- Handles and files all patient records in an organized and efficient manner.
- Places contact lens orders, processes shipments and properly submits invoices for payment.
- Accurately operates the POS system, when required, collecting proper payment following.
- Takes pride in the appearance of the store and shows initiative in keeping the displays clean, attractive and organized.
- Informs management of potential safety opportunities.
- Demonstrates safe work practices.
- Complies with all safety/regulatory requirements ensuring supplies/chemicals are stored and used appropriately.
- Performs all pre-examination testing with accuracy and attention to detail; takes the initiative to explain all measurements and answers any questions the patient may have.
- Utilizes clinical and product knowledge, provides coaching and guidance to patients on the care and handling of contact lenses.
- Maintains and disinfects contact lens inventory; provides clinical support to the Optometrist as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of one-year strong guest service skills (internal/external)
- High School Graduate /GED or equivalent experience
- Strong communicator and listener to guests and associates.
- Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Strong interpersonal skills (friendly, caring, patient)
