**Data Visualization:** Assists staff, command personnel, and SCITLS task personnel to transform complex datasets into clear, actionable visual formats that support decision-making and strategic planning. Consults with other Service Centers to develop dashboards, charts, and interactive visual tools that present data trends, patterns, and insights in an intuitive and user-friendly way using unified USSTRATCOM visualization elements. The likely salary range for this position is $76,500 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

The **Data Visualization Engineer** will play a key role in transforming complex datasets into clear, compelling, and actionable visual narratives. The **Data Visualization Engineer** will develop interactive dashboards and visual tools primarily using Power BI, Table auto, or Splunk dashboards to help stakeholders uncover insights, drive decisions, and communicate the value of data.
**Responsibilities**
+ Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations in support of cybersecurity, risk management, and mission performance tracking.
+ Translate stakeholder requirements into effective visual analytics using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Splunk dashboards.
+ Maintain and revise existing data visualizations, including interactive dashboards, reports, graphs, and graphics.
+ Troubleshoot and debugs front- and back-end processes.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to define, design and deploy solutions and enhancements that meet the needs of the company, its clients, and end users.
+ Configure a design that satisfies business requirements and desired specifications.
+ Design data visualizations that analyze data from various internal and external sources.
+ Research, evaluate and implement new tools, models and processes to optimize efficiency, reliability and usability of data visualizations.
+ Collaborate with data engineers and cybersecurity analysts to extract and normalize data from multiple sources, including eMASS, VRO, and network sensors.
+ Enable real-time situational awareness through role-based visualizations that support leadership decision-making and operational readiness.
+ Optimize dashboard performance and usability across various platforms and security domains.
+ Maintain familiarity with other visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI,) as required for integration or cross-functional needs.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, IT, or business-related programs
+ 5+ years of experience in dashboard experience, data visualization and reporting development
+ Must have experience in designing, developing, and configuring data visualizations for different types of users.
+ Cybersecurity certifications like CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) are desired
+ Must have active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS with SCI eligibility.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**
+ Proven expertise in Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools; Splunk experience a plus
+ Strong knowledge of DAX, SQL, or equivalent query languages
+ Experience working with structured and semi-structured data (JSON, XML)
+ Knowledge of cybersecurity and risk management metrics preferred
+ Experience working in cloud infrastructures
+ Must have high proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and possess advanced skills and knowledge in programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
+ Must have understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle) and hybrid cloud environments
+ Experience extracting, transforming, and structuring data to support both exploratory analytics and operational reporting.
+ Strong creative and visual storytelling skills with an eye for design, usability, and user experience.
+ Use expert knowledge of data visualization tools to deliver information that allows client users to quickly understand data, ask better questions, and take action.
+ Possess knowledge and experience with data analysis and data technical expertise in data management, engineering, and science.
+ Skillful time management and organizational skills to set and meet deadlines.
+ Ability to work both independently and within a team.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment to encourage collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
+ Ability to meet minimum clearance requirements.
+ Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
+ Ability to travel up to 10%.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Serve as a senior strategist in data analytics and visualization initiatives.
+ Collaborate with clients to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
+ Guide clients and internal stakeholders in defining data-driven goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
+ Lead the design and implementation of scalable solutions aligned with business objectives.
