Join Age Friendly Windham & Sebago Lakes Region Fuller Center for Housing as they collaborate with other local organizations to provide programming that can increase safety and energy efficiency for low-income and elderly residents in the Sebago Lakes Region of Maine! Age Friendly Windham (AFW) is a committee of dedicated volunteers working to help members of the community to live and age in place. AFW is dedicated to supporting the independence of our town's residents and helping them thrive. The mission of the Sebago Lakes Region Fuller Center for Housing is to do home repairs for low-income seniors and veterans. This is a vulnerable population who want to stay in their homes but oftentimes do not have the financial ability or family members to help. Fuller Center supports poor and very poor families. We qualify families using HUD guidelines and select on the basis of (1) need, (2) willingness to partner, and (3) ability to repay through our Greater Blessings program.

Member Duties : The VISTA member will focus on the creation of a Home Audit program, which will collaborate with other local organizations to provide evaluation and changes that can increase safety and energy efficiency of homes for low-income and elderly residents in Windham, Standish, and Raymond, Maine. They will also expand awareness of the mission and capabilities of both Age Friendly Windham and the Sebago Lakes Region Fuller Center for Housing through enhanced outreach, PR, and marketing services; and through strengthening volunteer recruitment, engagement, and retention. These projects will allow Age Friendly Windham and Sebago Lakes Region Fuller Center for Housing to develop sustainable systems and procedures, both internally and externally, that will result in both new services available and an increase in awareness of the services offered.

Principal Accountabilities: Coordinate, direct, and motivate the professional efforts of the staff by overseeing, educating, recommending, and implementing appropriate actions as they provide outreach services. Coordinate and assure that the functions carried out by the outreach personnel will achieve required outcomes. Monitor, analyze, and act on financial reports to assure reasonable compliance with approved performance budget and work cooperatively with Dignity Health Medical Foundation Behavioral Health Management Team and Administration in the budget development process. Assist staff in resolving conflicts and problems that may arise, bring employee and customer complaints to the team for resolution and, when appropriate, to Behavioral Health Management Team, Quality Assurance Council or Human Resources. Enforce all personnel policies and procedures and complete all related documentation. Monitor team efficiency and productivity on an on-going basis, complete performance
evaluations and perform all appropriate personnel actions and procedures with staff in accordance with Dignity Health Medical Foundation approved policies and procedures. Collect data and prepare reports for Dignity Health Medical Foundation Management and County on financial and clinical operations related to the outreach programs. Represent Dignity Health Medical Foundation Children's Centers at various community meetings and other provider meetings as appropriate. Perform other related professional functions as required.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Minimum of five years of relevant work experience in community service, with at least three years in a supervisory capacity.
+ Bachelor's Degree - Bachelor's degree in recreation, social services, psychology, human services, or a related field

+ Develop and produce information deliverables - fact sheets, PowerPoint presentations, graphics, etc.
+ Work with construction project managers to identify and help manage information related to construction issues
+ Respond to general customer toll inquiries - via phone and writing from various internal and external customers
+ Serve as liaison between Turnpike projects and the community primarily in active construction zones
+ Develop and plan public outreach campaigns prior to start of construction projects
+ Coordinate and schedule mass mailers related to construction projects
+ Research and help resolve issues pertaining to Construction, Maintenance, Traffic operations and other departments
+ Research, draft responses, check for accuracy, and seek approval to a variety of media requests and elected official inquiries
+ Promote Turnpike programs and initiatives by establishing, developing, and maintaining contact with media, professional and civic organizations, and other special interest groups
+ Coordinate and participate in public meetings with various neighborhood groups or other Turnpike stakeholders as assigned
+ Develop special educational and promotional materials for presentation at meetings and conferences
+ Organize and support various special events, groundbreakings, grand opening ceremonies and public meetings
+ Research, develop responses and generate posts for social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, etc.)

Who You Are
**Required Qualifications**
+ Three to five years of experience
+ Bachelor's Degree in communications, marketing, or a related field
+ Public involvement or community engagement experience on transportation projects
+ Ability to work well with the public and interact effectively with all organizational levels, including agency/client staff, senior management, executive leadership, board members, community leaders, and city/county/state representatives,
+ Excellent verbal, writing, and presentation skills
+ Ability to work independently, interdependently with teams and demonstrate initiative
+ Ability to work beyond standard business hours periodically
+ Strong time management skills and high attention to detail

**Job Purpose:** The Community Outreach Dietitian assists in the management and implementation of a high
quality, evidence-based Community Nutrition Program that distinguishes our agency as a leader in the food
and nutrition industry. Our focus is on early intervention of nutrition and wellness education and being a
strong community partner to provide all children with access to fresh, tasty, nutritious, student accepted,
and safe food. This position is responsible for assisting with all aspects of our community nutrition program,
menu management, and ensuring compliance within all Department of Public Instruction (DPI) and nutrition
credentialing audits.
**Essential Job Functions** :

+ Maintains the master nutrition information database utilizing HealthePro, or designated nutrition analysis software, including carbohydrate counts, allergies, etc.
+ Maintains updated files for Child Nutrition labels, nutrition information, and ingredient statements.
+ Assists with menu development, menu enhancement, recipe crediting, and distribution of menus and menu tools. Co-leads the recipe development process and the Culinary Council.
+ Maintains and distributes all nutrition/crediting related documents, including production transport sheets, production assignments, etc.
+ Assists with ensuring compliance for all Department of Public Instruction and nutrition credentialing audits. This includes site visits, style of service training, general training/education, wellness policy reviews, and pre-audits for DPI.
+ Creates, distributes, and presents nutrition and wellness education materials to CFI community partners, agency employees, agency consumers, and as assigned.
+ Maintains and improves service delivery by assessing the organization and its services from the customer's point of view.
+ Participates and presents in staff meetings and provides information regarding menu development, clinical nutrition management protocols, including training, and audit preparation.

**Qualifications**
**Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure and Credentials** : (Where appropriate, education and/or experience may be substituted)
**Minimum Required Education** : Bachelor of Science or Masters in Dietetics or Nutrition preferred. Will consider a candidate who is enrolled in an accredited Dietetics program as well as Registered Dietitian Eligible candidates
**Minimum Required Experience:** Experience in school nutrition is preferred
**Required License - Certification - Registration:**
+ ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification required within 90 days of hire and to be maintained throughout employment.
+ Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is required within 6 months of hire and must be maintained.
+ ServSafe Proctor and ServSafe Instructor is desired.
