Beacon Hospice is looking for volunteers to assist the Bereavement Coordinator with making phone calls to our bereaved families. This opportunity will also assist the coordinator with mailings, providing assistance with support groups, assist with the annual Memorial Service and other tasks needed.

Our Bereavement Volunteer opportunity is unique in that it can be done from home or from the Heart to Heart office. The bereavement program is for Heart to Heart families after a patient passes, as well as, anyone who is grieving in their immediate circle. As a bereavement volunteer , you will work along side one of our Bereavement Coordinators with follow up phone calls and documentation. Phone calls will be made to families in the grieving process and is usually just a call to let family members know that they have support. This is a great opportunity for those who have experience with the grief process or who are looking to gain more knowledge in helping others with grief healing. This would also be great for a person who is wanting to keep up to date on their counseling experience

Fundraising Volunteers Needed

To keep doing what we do, we rely on creative fundraising efforts-and we’d love to add a few passionate volunteers to our team.

Here’s where we need help:

• Fundraiser Creators - coming up with fun ideas and campaigns that get people excited to give

• Writers & Designers - helping with posts, graphics, and event promotions

• Organizers - assisting the director and team with gathering information, tracking donations, and keeping fundraisers running smoothly

Every fundraiser helps us cover vet bills, transport, and the care that allows our dogs to heal and find forever homes. If you have a little extra time and want to make a big impact, this is a powerful way to help.

SS&B needs volunteers to initiate, implement, and manage fundraising ideas to help SS&B continue to help the community with its services. We specifically need at least one person who is willing and able to head up this very important aspect of SS&B.

Are you good at organizing? Residential Hospice is in need of administrative volunteers. Specifically, we are looking for individuals to help with sending out mailings, entering documentation, finding resources, assembling training binders, and making bereavement calls.

Although you won't be working directly with patients, your work will support the care for patients and their families. Additionally, if interested, you may have the opportunity to speak with members of our recently bereaved families. However you choose to help as an administrative volunteer, your work will assist us in providing the best possible care for our terminally ill patients and their families.
