**Position Summary:**
Responsible for managing all aspects of the warehouse workflow and overseeing the driver fleet in regards to recruiting, safety and compliance, training and ensuring proper management of the department. Responsible for counseling all staff members; achieving corporate goals as established by the senior management team, and ensuring corporate profitability. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
**Problem Responsibilities:**
+ Supervise associates including but not limited to: scheduling, training and development counseling, performance management and problem resolution. Conduct department meetings.
+ Manage inventory dollar levels to achieve optimum cash flow and service level. Develop budgets for the Warehouse Department on a yearly basis and monitor monthly. Manage department within budgetary guidelines. Oversee the organizing of the warehouse inventory on a quarterly basis. Manage operations budget development and reporting. Monitor staff in budget review and forecasting. Oversee truck leasing agreement(s).
+ Interact with customers and vendors in a friendly, timely and quality manner; ensure customers' and vendors' questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
+ Establish procedures which maximize the efficiency of the operations department and allow the department to function at the highest level of productivity.
+ Solve operational problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where minimal standardization exists. Analyze work-related situations and make decisions in an effective manner.
+ Improve operational strategies and processes based upon knowledge of the food distribution industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participate in the establishment of overall Distribution Center business goals.
Profitable Operations: Plan, organize, direct, and control the course of operations by integrating and coordinating operations functions and processes with business goals. Maintain profitable operations by controlling inventory, losses, accidents and safety, etc. Seek synergies and best practices to develop and implement new methods to improve productivity or improve customer service.
Safety and Compliance: Guide operations management in compliance with government and other regulatory agency guidelines and laws and Company programs. Implement programs to ensure overall safety, security, maintenance and ergonomics for the operations functions.
Personnel and Company Policy: Delegate responsibility to managers to accomplish productivity goals. Enforce Distribution Center/company policies on safety and employee discipline by following guidelines, communicate changes to the workforce and oversee work and performance of day warehouse associates. Create performance improvement plans, administer discipline, and identify training opportunities when appropriate.
Networking: Participate in the Operations knowledge center, industry organizations, and other networking opportunities to bring in know-how and share best practices with other interested parties.

Education/Training:

**POSITION SUMMARY:** The Vice President, Operations Support - Environmental Solutions (ES) is responsible for providing leadership, oversight and coordination to the field for all our field services and waste solutions operations in support our hazardous and non-hazardous waste, . This Vice President role is responsible for overseeing operating procedures and formulating strategic initiatives to fulfill the company's current and future needs, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and cost effectiveness. Piaggio Fast Forward Inc. (PFF), a Boston-based subsidiary of the Piaggio Group (creator of the Vespa scooter), was established in 2015. PFF's mission is to build technology products that move the way that people move, specifically addressing robotic interaction in dynamic environments. The company is committed to sustainable mobility, promoting healthy lifestyles and social connectivity through machines that augment everyday workers and people. PFF's current manufacturing portfolio includes: robotic carts for business applications; robotic hardware and software modules; and two consumer robot models, one developed in partnership with Disney Company/Star Wars. Modular components including sensors, electrical and mechanical components, and software are shared across products. Leveraging PFFs expertise in navigation and machine safety, PFF is also a prominent manufacturer of radar-based Rider Assistance modules, integrated into tens of thousands of motorcycles and scooters globally.

The Role

This Vice President role is responsible for overseeing operating procedures and formulating strategic initiatives to fulfill the company's current and future needs, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and cost effectiveness. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in manufacturing and robotics organizations, with a proven track record of scaling operations to achieve best-in-class performance. The VP will directly supervise the Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams, with direct reports including the Operations Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Warehouse Manager, and Senior Quality Control Specialist. This position necessitates close collaboration with the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Director of Finance, as well as cross-functional engagement with the Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Software, Quality Assurance, Product, and Design teams. The VP reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

What Youll Do

  • Establish operational benchmarks and allocate resources for the manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to achieve strategic objectives, proactively driving continuous improvement and defining clear accountability measures aligned with company values and goals.
  • Optimize system and structural alignment across teams and functions to maximize impact.
  • Projects confidence and credibility to their team, and importantly, with an executive presence and communication style adaptable to various other stakeholders including customers, suppliers, C-level decision-makers, investors, and board members.
  • Presents results monthly to the C-Level leadership of the company including forecasts and recommendations. Participates in decisions regarding company objectives and initiatives that are supported by both their insight and prompt action.
  • Identifies opportunities for PFF to adopt new solutions and achieve new efficiencies in consultation with the C-suite
  • Is fiscally responsible for manufacturing, supply chain, and inventory, working closely with PFF's Sr. Director of Finance. This also includes collaborating with the Piaggio Group's Chief Financial Officer and her team on quarterly and annual reporting, as well as year-end audits.
  • Owns relationships with both suppliers and OEM customers, working closely with the Executive VP of Purchasing at Piaggio Group.
  • Participates in strategic discussions and presentations including interacting with the company's Board of Directors during quarterly meetings and as needed.
  • Successfully represents the company to State and Municipal Government officials during factory and warehouse visits, engages in discussions on technology manufacturing and policy initiatives in state and federal working groups, and conducts press interviews.
