Job Description

The Irrigation Specialist is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding hydraulic components of the computer-controlled irrigation systems throughout Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. In this role, we are diligent self-starters that can quickly evaluate many types of irrigation systems. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property.
**The pay rate for this role in Florida is $24.76 per hour.**

+ Managing the maintenance on all components of computer-controlled irrigation systems
+ We take ownership of installing, testing, and maintaining irrigation equipment including sprinklers, pumps, water lines, and suction valves
+ Maintain and evaluate existing hydraulics in irrigation piping
+ Diagnose pressure loss and the ability to calculate flow velocity
+ Conduct installation(s), repair(s), electrical fixing, and auditing of existing irrigation systems

**Basic Qualifications :**
+ **Valid Florida driver's license**
+ Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor certification
+ Understand basic irrigation design, irrigation equipment, and electrical principles.
+ Minimum of 5 years' irrigation experience
+ Proven experience with computer-controlled irrigation systems
+ Knowledge of irrigation principles and practices such as soil to water and plant relationships
+ Knowledge of hytrol valves and piloting systems such as Cla-Val, Watts or Ames
+ Proficiency using diagnostic tools such as: multimeters, flow meters, fault finders, locators, and leak detectors
+ Ability to read blueprints
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
+ Effective communication skills both written and verbal
+ Proficiency in Microsoft office software programs and mobile electronic devices
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Proficient in Math

The Electrician Systems Tech provides support to the alarms team. The alarms team services and supports the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts alarms, fire protection, security systems and additional electronic systems across the property. This is a field service position that may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property.
**The pay rate for this role in Florida is $32.11 per hour.**

+ Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fire protection/security systems and associated proprietary electronic monitoring systems
+ Cast members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies
+ Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required
**Basic Qualifications :**
+ Minimum of 4 years' experience as an electrical technician
+ Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License
+ Must possess strong electronic skills
+ Must be able to demonstrate troubleshooting skills for this type of equipment, and demonstrate skills in soldering/desoldering, smoke detector sensitivity measuring equipment, and schematic reading
+ Familiarity with NFPA Fire Protection Codes and Standards will be required
+ Must have strong mechanical aptitude
+ Must have previous experience with fire protection equipment/systems (Siemens/Cerberus/Pyrotronics, or Edwards System Technology EST-1, EST-2, EST-3, and EST-QS)
+ Experience in troubleshooting digital and analog circuits to the component level is required
+ Must have or be able to obtain within 60 days, a Florida State Alarm Systems
+ Agent/Burglar Alarm System Agent (FASA/BASA) registration
+ Must have or be able to obtain Level-1 NICET Certification within 60 days
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
+ Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
+ Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices
**Preferred Education :**
+ An Associates degree in Electronics or equivalent
