This is an Operations position responsible for assisting Material Handling Equipment (MHE) technician III with maintenance activities associated with material handling equipment, and maintenance of industrial batteries.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements
+ Knowledge of controls and electric (AC - Alternative current & DC - Direct current) low voltage
+ Complete small electrical repairs and welding projects as needed.
+ Maintain power material handling equipment (MHE). Including preventive maintenance (PM) of MHE fleet checking, draining and filling oil levels as needed, checking, adjusting, or replacing all belts and chains as needed, checking and troubleshooting electrical controls issues, replacing motors and controls, safety checks, preventive maintenance (PM) per manufacturers recommendations
+ Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems/schematics/components, electrical systems/schematics both AC and DC (distribution center) systems, drive motors, power amps, electrical controls including PLC systems
+ Basic knowledge of mechanical systems including transmissions, drive units, differentials, braking systems, telescopic masts, reach mechanism, steering systems, suspension systems
+ Completes all special projects associated with buildings or grounds, as requested. Includes but not limited to moving furniture or fixtures, changing lights, light carpentry, painting, light plumbing, changing of light bulbs, repair of minor electrical devices
+ Assist the battery technicians; duties will include assisting in battery charger repairs, battery changes for MHE, repair of plugs and tips of batteries and chargers, watering and washing batteries, acid spill clean up, battery rack cleaning, battery area sweeping and cleaning, setting equalizing charge on batteries
+ Participate in departmental on-call program, as designated
+ Responsible for logging time and materials into the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) on a daily basis in the form of work orders, P.M.s, etc.
+ Responsible for housekeeping, clean up of all maintenance areas/work areas on a daily basis.
+ Maintain all tools and equipment in clean, safe, working order
+ Adhere to all safety requirements and wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment required by the job
+ Respond to emergency situations to ensure employee and facility safety
+ Champion overall safety in the department
+ Comply with OSHA, and other local, state and federal regulations
+ Adhere to Organization and the Facilities Department policies and procedures including appropriate attire, grooming, and attendance

**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education**
+ High School diploma or general education degree (GED);
+ Tech school or equivalent is preferred (2 years)
**Experience**
+ Four years in an MHE maintenance position; or equivalent combination of education and related experience
**Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:**
+ Must possess a valid state Driver's License and provide proof of liability coverage meeting Company standards.
+ Complete a Sysco approved the defensive driving program
+ Obtain a Powered Industrial Equipment Certification from Sysco within 3 months
+ MHE 8 hour maintenance tech certificate from MHE manufacturer (IE: Crown, Raymond, Hyster, etc.)

The Warehouse Worker ? SBE main responsibilities include receiving and processing incoming products, preparing orders for transport, and performing inventory and quality control duties. May require training and operation of a manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, and/or forklifts.
Picks inventory to assemble orders of product, supplies and equipment for requisitions or established par levels.
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to meet accuracy and production standards.
Load, unload and transport products and materials to different areas of the warehouse and/or other client locations. May require use of carts, powered industrial vehicles (PIV), or motor vehicles.
Responsible for conducting routine physical inventory counts based on established location schedules.
Accurately complete administrative duties including records such as inventory count documents, temperature and spoilage logs, equipment inspections, and any other relevant business records. This may be on paper or in a technology-based system (hand-held device or PC).
Clean work areas as assigned, including but not limited to restrooms, break areas, loading dock, freight elevator and freight platform delivery areas when applicable.
Implement all location safety policies, OSHA requirements, SDS standards, and emergency procedures. Use all required safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
Takes appropriate measures to ensure the security of client and company assets.
Interact with clients, employees, vendors, customers, and guests about business-related activities and attend meetings, as required.

SUMMARY : Responsible for manually and/or driving forklift equipment to move freight, stock, or other materials and/or perform other warehouse responsibilities including verifying product parts, numbers, sorting product, packing product and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Attach identifying tags to containers, or mark them with identifying information for all inventory, transfers and returns.
· Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
· Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
· Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, and other equipment.
· Pick customer orders in preparation for shipment.
· Verify and keep records on incoming/outgoing shipments; prepare items for shipment, including assembling, addressing, stamping, shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, arranging for transportation of products.
· Sort cargo before loading and unloading.
· Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers.
· Inventory control and bin replenishment.
· Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.
Requirements:QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE : High School/GED; 1-3 years work experience; preferably in a warehouse/distribution/manufacturing environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
· PC literate (MS Office) preferred
· Ability to load, unload, or stack containers, materials, or products, manually and/or using industrial powered equipment
· Ability to read work order, instructions, formulas, or processing charts
· Must maintain safe work environment; perform safety inspections in manufacturing or industrial setting
· Ability to package goods for shipment or storage; wrap products measure, weigh, or count products or materials
· Experience with RF scan gun and UPS Worldship, a plus.
· Use of hand or power tools
· Ability to use mathematics to solve problems
· Use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
· Inventory tracking software; scan guns or scanners knowledge helpful

- Participate in all functions of the distribution and receiving for the warehouse
- Receive products coming into the warehouse
- Verify quantity and description of products
- Assemble and fill orders to be shipped
- Stock incoming orders
- Maintain accurate physical inventories
- Ensure all distribution and receiving are in a timely and orderly manner
- Follow proper receiving procedures
- Comply with all AVI policies and procedures, including but not limited to security procedures
- Communicate any issues of concern to management (i.e. cleanliness, safety concerns, or security concerns)
Requirements:
- Previous large food warehouse experience is preferred
- Great work ethic
- Ability to be exposed to temperature extremes and humidity
