Summary:

The Warehouse Assistant provides materials, equipment, and supply support by directing receiving, warehousing, and providing distribution services.

Requirements:

Job Responsibilities :

  • Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing inventory, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
  • Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Additional duties as needed

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service
  • Meet the demands of the fulfillment center, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
  • Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed
  • Work with the fleet and logistics team to arrange logistics utilized to transport products to customers and internal facilities, communicating with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position and may require longer hours and frequent weekend work.


Required Certificates:

  • OSHA 10
  • Forklift

Required Education and Experience

  • Associates degree or comparable experience in construction technology
  • 2 years’ experience working in a construction warehouse environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proficiency with Procore or other construction management software
  • Experience with USDOT regulations and interstate trucking
  • Valid CDL-A driver’s license with a clean driving record


Preferred Eligibility Qualifications

  • Experience working on solar construction
  • High level of integrity with strong emphasis on making and meeting commitments
  • High sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize to meet required deadlines

This position will be supporting both internal Technicians and external vendors through a variety of different avenues including maintenance of equipment and facilities, shipping and receiving inventory, and transporting Company vehicles as needed. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

· Clean, repair, fabricate, and maintain various pest control equipment. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve and repair equipment malfunctions. Equipment will include Backpack Sprayers, Insect Lights, and large commercial spray equipment mounted to trucks. Fabrications will include small hand tools, trap guards, and small assembly projects.

· Manage basic communications with vendors to confirm delivery schedules, resolve shipment issues, and handle order discrepancies.

· Coordinate the preparation and shipment of orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Work with other members of the shipping team to get orders completed daily. Includes preparation of large orders for field staff that are critical to set-up of key customers.

· Receive shipments from vendors, verify their accuracy, and update the inventory management system accordingly.

· Operate forklift to move product as needed

· Transport Company service vehicles and trailers in Plunkett's service area.

· Perform building maintenance as needed

· Perform daily clean up in the Warehouse.

The Warehouse Support / Stockroom works indoors in a semi climate-controlled environment (No AC in Summer months). May experience extreme temperatures due to seasonal conditions.
Warehouse Support / Stockroom may also be exposed to oil; cleaning chemicals, pesticides, lubricants; dust while working in warehouse area; loud noises e.g. power tools; electrical and mechanical hazards.

WORKING HOURS


Generally Monday through Friday. May be required to work weekends and overtime as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

? 2+ years' experience in maintenance of equipment and/or vehicle maintenance environment required

The Role:  
As a Warehouse Associate, you will contribute to CAVA’s success, receiving and off-loading truckloads of incoming raw materials and finished goods; maintaining an organized warehouse; picking, packing and shipping sales and transfer orders.

The Qualifications:

**Requirements**
+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred
+ Six months of related warehouse experience required
+ One (1) year or more related warehouse experience preferred
+ Learn to operate powered industrial truck(s), such as: stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc., including how to operate and maintain (change battery, recognize common mechanical issues) intermediate required
+ May be required to operate manual and/or automated otherwarehouse/manufacturingequipment (such as a packaging line) intermediate preferred
+ Powered industrial truck certification
+ Ability to read, do basic mathematics in English for the purpose of safety, work instructions, policies, etc
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
+ Ability to input data into the WMS computer system (s) in use
+ Work overtime as assigned
+ Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)

Primarily responsible for supporting warehouse functions using MRC Global specific and other software.

+ Locating and pulling Mill Test Reports for Hub material using MRC Global Specific software, Document Library, and the internet.
+ Typing bills of lading, routing motor, air and quick delivers freight and calling carriers for pick up.
+ Count, file and log pick tickets.
+ Maintain highest standards of customer service by:
+ Researching information for internal and external customers.
+ Learning new business processes and office procedures as required and serves as a resource to others.
