We are in search of a Warehouse Associate to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for receiving, storing, selecting and loading products within the warehouse.
Responsibilities Include:
- Receive and process warehouse stock products.
- Select and prepare customer orders in a manner that ensures complete fulfillment of each customer order.
- Check all incoming and outgoing orders for accuracy.
- Ensure accurate receipt and documentation are included for inbound products.
- Affixes pallet tags and mark materials with other identifying information upon receipt.
- Convey products and materials from receiving areas to storage or other designated areas.
- Places items on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined slot assignments.
- High school diploma or GED
- 18 years of age
- 1-2 years of warehouse experience
- Forklift or pallet jack experience preferred but not required.
- Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift up to 50lbs.

The Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods within the facility. This is a physically demanding role requiring individuals to be on their feet for the majority of the shift in a fast-paced environment. Associates will load, unload, pick, and distribute products while maintaining safety and quality standards. Due to the nature of the work environment, employees should expect exposure to varying temperatures, loud machinery, and other warehouse conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload pallets and individual cases to and from trailers.
- Collect and store empty pallet boards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Associate assists in the warehouse by crating, pulling product, and unloading trucks. Associate ensures that orders are filled accurately for customer satisfaction; ensures cartons shipped are structurally sound and suitable for sale by visually inspecting cartons, repairing and reboxing as needed.
- Assist with the following aspects of warehouse operation: crating, pulling product, and unloading trucks
- Load loose cartons into trucks to ensure stability during shipment
- Collect wood product for the set-up and construction of crates
- Build crates from wooden materials around cartons of product in preparation for shipment by flatbeds
- Repair or reseal damaged cartons, or rebox product when necessary
- Consolidate all accessory and siding products on storage racks when needed
- Perform daily preventive maintenance and safety checks on motorized equipment
- Perform warehouse maintenance and warehouse housekeeping
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required
- Attend scheduled staff meetings with Distribution Supervisor, if necessary
- Perform basic duties of Warehouse associate 2 at times, based upon ability and experience
- Maintain an accurate time card daily and calculate on a weekly basis
- Actively participate in all plant safety programs, depending on location
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Reliable work history strongly preferred
- 6 months of distribution construction/trade experience (carpentry, painting, etc.) strongly preferred
- Mechanical aptitude helpful
- Basic knowledge of shipping process helpful
- Must have good eye/hand coordination, excellent manual dexterity including a skill to use hand and electrical tools, and an ability to read and comprehend numbers
- Ability to lift up to 86lbs on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist and ability to team lift 87 to 100lbs
- Must be detailed oriented, possess good communication skills, and interact well with others
- Must be able to separate product by profiling color
- Warehouse environment with exposure to equipment noise, temperature extremes, and dust
- Position requires continual lifting, twisting and bending
- Must be proficient in the use of a claw hammer, pneumatic nail gun, pneumatic bander, and an electric skill saw
- Safety glasses and ear plugs must be utilized as instructed
- Must be willing to obtain a license to operate motorized equipment
- If applicable, may need to be certified to operate a crane
- Safe work performance is required from each Associate at all times
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals
- Required to wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions
