A Maryland Class D license is required. A copy of the applicant’s license and MVA Driving Record must be submitted with all applications.
The Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator position includes the following benefits: MD Pension System, Health Insurance, Vacation, Sick and Personal leave.
All Positions are Grade 6 with a starting salary of $45,420 - $74,426. A higher grade and starting salary are available for a licensed and experienced candidate.

**Job Description**
**Position Purpose:**
The Operator I operates and maintains sludge, dewatering treatment, processing, disposal and testing equipment in refinery/industrial facility to purify water to meet customer specifications.
**Primary Duties/Responsibilities:**
+ Must consistently demonstrate the ability to learn and independently operate assigned machines and equipment meeting or exceeding processing and quality targets.
+ Must demonstrate ability to learn and independently operate equipment such as pumps, engines, centrifuge, generators, valves, gates, mixers, conveyors, blowers, dryers, chemical feed, odor control, disinfection equipment, sludge processing filters, belt presses and measuring/control devices, testing equipment and material handling equipment.
+ Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
+ Must demonstrate a working ability to use computer programs for process control.
**Qualifications**
**Education/Experience/Background:**
+ High School Diploma/GED is required.

**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**
+ Must have the ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, safety and quality instructions).

**Required Certification/Licenses/Training:**

**What You Will Do:**
We have an opportunity for a Hazardous Waste Technician to be based in Columbus, GA. (onsite role)
+ Works under supervision of Lead Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator.
+ Able to perform sampling and monitoring for required permit parameters.
+ Operates waste treatment, sludge processing, and disposal equipment in wastewater treatment plant.
+ Monitors control panels and/or adjust valves and gates manually to regulate flow of waste.

**Summary:**
The WWT/Operations Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining the biological wastewater treatment system. This role ensures regulatory compliance and supports general plant operations, including loading and unloading of materials.
**Schedule:**
+ **Monday-Friday:** 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
+ **Rotating Weekends:** Approx. 4 hours on Saturday and Sunday (every other weekend)
+ **Overtime:** Roughly 8 hours every 2 weeks
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems (pumps, tanks, clarifiers, basins, etc.).
+ Collect and analyze wastewater samples to maintain compliance.
+ Adjust chemical dosing and treatment processes as needed.
+ Record operational data and support lab testing.
+ Load/unload tankers, railcars, and trailers following safety procedures.
+ Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all HS&E protocols.
+ Identify and report equipment malfunctions or potential permit issues.
**Qualifications:**
+ High School Diploma or GED required (technical school or college preferred).
+ **Class III Wastewater Operator Certification** required.
+ Familiar with DOT and RCRA regulations.
+ Able to use SAP and Microsoft Office; willing to learn site systems.
+ Forklift and tractor operation experience preferred.
+ Strong communication and organizational skills.
+ Physically able to lift 55 lbs., climb ladders/stairs, and work in hot/humid conditions.

+ Controls the operation, monitoring, and inspection of process equipment within plants including; pumps and motors, compressors, screens, overhead cranes, membranes, chemical pumps and associated equipment. Ensures process operations are continuously monitored for performance within specifications;
+ Interprets process control data (SCADA) and lab data against performance standards; initiates required adjustments to equipment within the plant to ensure effective and efficient processing and advises supervisor or other operators when conditions within the system warrant;
+ Monitors and records onto daily log sheets unit process metering devices via gauges, computer process control systems, etc. on an ongoing basis. Coordinates process control adjustments in conjunction with the other operators on shift;

We are seeking a full-time Plant Operator for an operations project in Brook, IN. The Plant Operator performs a wide range of mid-complex to complex tasks, encompassing field assignments based on client requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Perform daily operations and maintenance of the treatment plant.
+ Complete minor routine maintenance of equipment.
+ Demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
+ Apply a working knowledge of fundamental principles, terminology, and methodology in carrying out assignments.
+ Operate facilities with computer or PLC controls.
+ Monitor, regulate, and adjust chlorinators, chemical feed pumps, and other process equipment.
+ Collect samples and perform routine in-lab tests as required.
+ Maintain a log of operations and maintenance activities and related records.
+ Operate system to maintain compliance with permit requirements.
+ Wash clarifiers, dissolved air flotation systems, contact basins, and operate sludge handling equipment and other process unit equipment, as required.
+ Possess good knowledge of the practices used, and the equipment required in the O&M of industrial facilities and make routine laboratory and field tests for control of plant operations.
