Job Responsibilities
1. Maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair electronic, pneumatic, and other related electrical and mechanical instrumentation and control equipment.

2. Plan and monitor installation of electrical equipment by City personnel to ensure compliance with specifications and local, state, or federal rules/regulations/ordinances.

3. Assist in programming and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers.

4. Troubleshoot complicated electrical circuits.

5. Direct and monitor electrical maintenance work being performed by other staff (apprentices) throughout Public Works' construction projects. Direct all installations of equipment using over 25 volts.

6. Review plans, specifications, and blueprints for electrical projects. Draw electrical diagrams of circuits, as needed.

7. Coordinate electrical inspections on projects as necessary.

8. Maintain roadway and residential street lighting systems. Troubleshoot, test, inspect, fault locate, and repair underground and overhead secondary streetlight wiring, meters, lighting contactors and street light fixtures.

9. Assist Line Workers from the ground utilizing appropriate general and line worker safety procedures.

10. Perform snow and ice control and removal procedures, including plowing, sanding, spreading deicing chemicals, loading trucks, hauling snow, shoveling sidewalks, or assisting mechanics in the maintenance of snow removal equipment.

11. Perform other such duties and functions as are necessary or incidental to the proper performance of this position.

Minimum Qualifications

**What you'll do:**
**Paint Engineering**
+ Work to understand paint processing systems and environmental requirements.
+ Support the development of materials and process technologies to address current and emerging environmental requirements.
+ Be part of a team that develops, and implements an annual non-prod project for the life-extension and performance improvement of the paint shop's emission control systems (abatement).
+ Support plants and programs on issues related to all areas of designated SME responsibility.
+ Support plants in resolving booth performance issues. Coordinate with Total Booth Management (TBM) and Filtration Management suppliers to resolve issues and drive solutions.
+ Develop and implement an annual non-prod project for the refurbishment and life-extension of abatement systems. Develop all bid packages, perform clarifications, and support sourcing decisions on all activities. Manage at least one activity directly while providing ongoing technical support to all field implementation.
**Environmental Quality Office (EQO)**
+ Factory of Tomorrow - Provide input on potential strategies and tactics to reduce the carbon footprint of existing paint processes, bridging the present state's gap to future vision.
+ Support competitive assessments of paint processes, practices, and environmental strategy to develop and deploy Ford's environmental strategy and policy.
+ Work to understand current and proposed environmental legislation for developing Ford's Paint and Environmental strategy.
+ Coordinate with the plant paint management, equipment suppliers, engineering firms, and EQO on paint emission issues and odor complaints.
+ Respond to Plant Environmental Controls Engineer (PECE) requests for information on abatement equipment, operating parameters, facility layout, and process system operation.
+ Review plant CAM Plan revisions (Compliance Assurance Monitoring) to ensure that the system capability and plan assurances are aligned.
+ Update the plant process flow schematic when changes are made in booth, oven, or abatement airflow.
+ Consult with EQO to develop strategies supporting product programs aligned with environmental permit constraints.
+ Coordinate regularly with PECEs, Environment Compliance Engineers, and leadership on the abatement non-prod project's progress and redirect priorities as required.
+ Develop and support Long Term Investment Sustainability projects.
**Corporate Safety:**
+ Act as the single point of contact for combustion safety issues at the plants. Manage the 3rd party safety inspections on all VO boilers. Ensure the "critical" safety issues are resolved promptly.
+ Participate in monthly Core Team meetings to discuss inspection progress and issues of concern. As the VO representative with the majority of the combustion equipment in Ford, the position takes a lead role in the team's actions.
**Ford Land Energy:**
+ Develop projects and work with Ford Land to develop performance contracts (Cleaning).
+ Coordinate with Ford Land to include the energy impact of significant process changes on the plant's Energy Roadmap.
+ Work with Ford Land, suppliers, and plants to estimate energy and budget impacts of program process changes.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ BSc, Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial OR Electrical) or equivalent experience (12+ years' in Automotive Mfg, pref within Paint Mfg environment)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ At least one year experience in automotive assembly plant, paint preferred
+ Experience with MDEQ requirements preferred
+ Willingness to work on cross-functional teams on issues related to Safety, Quality, Cost and the Environment. Develop strategies for implementing balanced solutions

Position Description

Anne Arundel County Government is currently hiring for a full-time permanent, safety-sensitiveWatershed Protection and Restoration Inspector (Environmental Control Inspector) position in the Office of Inspections and Permits.

This involves skilled work in securing and maintaining compliance with County, State, and Federal codes and regulations governing erosion and sediment controls, stormwater management, construction and maintenance, environmental restoration construction, illicit discharge investigations, and drainage/runoff concern investigations.

NATURE AND VARIETY OF WORK
Work involves responsibility for effecting compliance with legally established codes and regulations for the county soil erosion and sedimentation programs. Work includes the application of discretion and judgment in the interpretation of pertinent codes and regulations and in making inspections. Work is performed under general supervision within established policies, regulations, and technical guidelines, and is reviewed by a superior through conferences and reports.
Examples of Duties and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Conducts erosion and sediment control inspections; conducts stormwater management maintenance inspections; conducts construction meetings/inspections; makes minor field adjustments in plans; investigates illicit discharge complaints, drainage complaints, and code violations.
  • Reviews and interprets approved plans. Ensures compliance with approved plans, monitors site outfalls, and investigates and inspects receiving channels downstream of each approved outfall or discharge point for visible signs of erosion or sedimentation.
  • Advises contractors, landowners, and others on erosion and sediment control, as well as stormwater management codes and regulations.
  • Assists in the review of permit applications and issuance of permits; investigates possible or actual problems and complaints; and initiates corrective actions.
  • Prepares written inspection reports per County Code; maintains necessary records and reports; and attends seminars.
  • Reviews and assists in the review of applications and issued permits; investigates possible or actual problems and complaints; and initiates corrective actions.
  • Completes daily worksheets, inspection reports, complaint forms, issue notices of field correction, notices of violation, and stop work orders.
  • Collects evidence, both written and photographic, to document violations of permitted and illicit discharges, approved plans, and ordinances. Maintains permit and field files, both electronic and paper.
  • Assist the supervisor to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and County environmental laws, policies, and regulations, and monitoring and reporting requirements are being met.
  • Performs inspections and undertakes investigations in response to alleged violations of the Anne Arundel County Code. Reviews and reports site conditions to determine if infractions of applicable codes exist.
  • Works with the office of law and other agencies as appropriate for code enforcement.
  • Performs related work as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Considerable knowledge of erosion and sediment control methods and techniques, stormwater management facilities, illicit discharge complaints, drainage complaints, and drainage improvements.
  • Considerable knowledge of construction methods and inspection procedures.
  • Ability to inspect complex construction projects for compliance with erosion and sediment control and stormwater management regulations. Ability to investigate and inspect channel deficiencies and identify areas in need of outfall restoration or rehabilitation.

  • Ability to enforce and interpret regulations with firmness, tact, and impartiality.
  • Ability to plan, assign, and supervise the work of subordinate inspectors.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other County departments, contractors, land owners, and the public-at-large.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Graduation from high school, including or supplemented by courses in map reading.Experience: Two (2) or more years of experience in erosion control practices and infrastructure installations or a related field; a Maryland certificate in training for erosion control or ability to obtain the certificate within six months of hire; and a valid non-commercial Class C motor vehicle operator's license.

NOTE: This position is Safety Sensitive, and employees in this position are subject to Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) and Alcohol Testing.

    Amentum is currently seeking a qualified Aircraft Mechanic 1 specialized in Egress and/or Environmental Control Systems (F/A-18E/F and/or EA-18G experience is required) in support of the U.S Naval Air Station maintenance operations at NAS Whidbey Island. Aircraft Mechanics I must have a combination of experience to repair engines, sheet metal, structural, hydraulic, electrical, power train and general mechanical maintenance of moderate difficulty, required to meet the assigned missions.
    **Essential Responsibilities:**
    Makes repairs to aircraft and follows direction of higher graded workers. Troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti- icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems. Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures, such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills. Reads and interprets manufacturers' and airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Replaces or repairs worn or damaged components, such as carburetors, alternators, magnetos, fuel controls, fuel pumps, oil pumps, and engine mounted gearboxes, and compressor bleed valves using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment, removing engine from aircraft, using hoist or forklift truck, disassembling and inspecting parts for wear, cracks, security, or other defects. Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories, performs preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections, performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes. Supervises the jacking and towing of aircraft, enters in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily. Service engines and airframe components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition, specialize in work, repair and modification of structural, precision, and functional spare parts and assemblies, and specialize in engine repair. May be required to be licensed by Federal Aviation Administration. May require specialization in sheet-metal, electric work, avionics or other aircraft systems related disciplines. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) licensing of contractor employee technical proficiency is not required.
    **Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required**

    This new position is on the JETS Gateway Mission Design Team providing mission analysis and design across the Artemis Program. The selected applicant will:
    **The Environmental Control and Life Support System Water Team - Project/Test Engineer will** :
    + Research, develop, and test technologies for water recovery from spacecraft wastewater, including urine and humidity condensate. Typical technologies include physical, chemical, and biological water processing, contaminant filtration, biocide introduction, and water quality monitoring.
    + Work in a laboratory environment with an interdisciplinary team of skilled and motivated engineers and scientists.
    + Work in a team environment and report to the project manager to provide status on progress and issues and for support.
    + Develop test plans, working with ECLSS Water Team to ensure the test strategy will provide sufficient information on the system performance and capabilities.
    + Develop test procedures and schedules, often through collaboration with various organizations across Johnson Space Center (JSC), including tasks associated with flight certification of hardware.
    + Design and build test rigs to enable hardware development test objectives.
    + Develop logistics, manufacturing and procurement plan.
    + Work with procurement personnel and vendors to order and secure procurements.
    + Inspect hardware upon receipt to verify match with fabrication drawing/models.
    + Maintain a safe working environment by performing hazard analyses and following JSC protocol.
    + Perform testing to assess performance characteristics of development hardware, which often includes chemical, mechanical, and electrical components.
    + Gather, compile, analyze, and present test results.
    + Communicate test results and development plans both orally and in writing through presentations, papers, and reports.
    + Develop project documentation and maintain status of drawings and procurements.
    + Assist project management with configuration control of project documentation.
    + Participate in requirements development, trade studies, and design reviews.
    + Develop proposals for work related to technology advancement.

The Water Quality Specialists will consist of professional and non-professional personnel to provide support to state, tribal, territorial local governments, and some private non-profits.     In this role, you will:
