Job Description
As a key member of our Puerto Rico team, you'll be involved in diverse projects that can broaden your knowledge in the water resources and environmental areas. These tasks include data collection and analysis, developing and applying hydraulic models for water distribution systems optimization, task coordination, and evaluation of infiltration and inflow studies. Using industry and our cutting-edge, proprietary tools and modeling software, you'll assist with delivering projects and serving and developing clients.

* Bachelor's degree in Civil, Water Resources, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field.
* Minimum 10 years of experience working in water and wastewater projects.
* Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
* Experience working in water resources or environmental feasibility studies, preparing preliminary engineering reports for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, evaluating water resources projects, and providing expertise in analyzing water networks and sewer collection systems.
* Strong background in hydraulic analysis for pressurized conduits and open channel flow.
* Experience writing technical reports.
* Strong self-motivation, problem-solving, and team-oriented work practices.
* Excellent organizational skills, multitasking ability, and computer skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects.
Ideally, you may also have
* Master's degree in water resources, environmental, mechanical engineering, or related engineering discipline.
* Professional Engineer license.
* Experience developing hydraulic/ water quality models (e.g. InfoWater Pro, InfoSWMM, InfoWorks, WaterCad, etc.), including model calibration (steady state and extended period simulation projects), and scenario development.
* Previous experience working in infiltration and Inflow Studies.
* Writing and verbal communication in English and Spanish.

**Responsibilities**
+ Support our growing water resources practice and will require working with multi-disciplinary teams for a variety of existing and new public and private clients

**Qualifications**
+ 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience

We are actively seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our water resources group in Florida. This role offers the opportunity to engage in a wide array of water resources and infrastructure-related projects, with a focus on designing and building solutions that positively impact ecosystems, watersheds, and communities across Florida. The ideal candidate will be involved in engineering, design, permitting, engineering during construction, and construction management services for a variety of clients, including municipalities and state agencies.
Responsibilities
+ Focus on large environmental restoration projects involving embankment systems, levees, reservoirs, pump stations, and watershed issues.
+ Apply various design engineering and modeling techniques in the development of water resource and heavy civil projects for state and local municipalities.
+ Perform complex engineering analyses and design calculations.
+ Prepare design drawings, construction specifications, opinion of probable construction costs, construction bid packages, technical memoranda, and reports.
+ Support and direct hydraulic and hydrology modeling, data collection, data assimilation, and presentations.
+ Act as liaison during construction management services, ensuring contractor compliance with permits and scheduling expectations.
+ Provide quality assurance during Engineering During Construction (EDC) services, including reviewing submittals and RFIs, and conducting construction observation.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
+ 2-5 years of experience supporting water resources or infrastructure projects.
+ Proficiency in software such as Civil 3D, Bluebeam, HECRAS, ICPR, GeoSlope/Seep, MS Suite, and Adobe.

+ Performs drainage system, stormwater management, potable water systems, and wastewater conveyance system design.
