**Position Purpose:**
The Non-Revenue field technician will provide field and some office support for the NRW department. The primary goal of the NRW field technician is to locate leaks promptly and assist in other ways to reduce NRW.
**Primary Duties/Responsibilities:**
+ Conduct leak surveys utilizing a variety of acoustical equipment, i.e. ground microphones, data loggers, correlators, etc.
+ Collect, record, analyze and interpret field data to pinpoint leaks.
+ Utilize Asset Management system to document leaks.
+ Utilize GPS equipment to locate or update points in GIS.
+ Assist personnel from other internal departments of each operation to accomplish NRW tasks.
+ Manage and maintain the Aquarius Spectrum leak logger system. Troubleshoot and replace faulty sensors, install new sensors, coordinate with T&D staff for assistance with valve sensors, etc.
+ Assist in other miscellaneous NRW related field activities i.e. site inspections, field investigations, meter troubleshooting, etc.
+ Perform office tasks including but not limited to safety training, planning daytime and night-time surveys, reviewing GIS maps, and reviewing CC&B and AMI data.
+ Adhere to all Company safety procedures and in particular traffic safety as it relates to working in traffic
+ Meet with customers and public officials to discuss NRW topics.
+ Other tasks as assigned.
**Work Environment:**
+ Work will be mostly in the field with occasional office work i.e. safety training, meetings, etc.

Water Quality Technicians at the Whitewater Center (Whitewater) are an integral part of the team who are solely responsible for managing and maintaining the water for the whitewater channels as well as the Deep-Water Solo pool. Responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Ultrapure Water, Process Cooling Water and Industrial Waste treatment systems& equipment. The Water Technician must accurately and reliably follow standard operating procedures for chemical reactions, perform laboratory testing, and complete correlations of process instrumentation. They will read and measure plant operating parameters to determine process changes required to maintain operations within specifications.

  • Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe workplace
  • Starts automatic feed of solid and liquid materials through equipment units, including heating and cooling vessels, mixing tanks, ion exchange beds, and filter presses
  • Operates and controls pumping systems, pH controls, heat exchanger bulk chemical systems and filtration equipment
  • Adjusts controls to regulate feed of liquids and gases through equipment in specified timing and sequence, or starts automatic feed
  • Sets up and adjusts indicating and controlling devices, for example gas analyzers, temperature and flow controlling devices, or gauging instruments to facilitate simultaneous analysis and control of process conditions
  • Observes gauges, signals, and recording instruments, turns valves, and moves controls to regulate temperatures, pressures, and flow of steam, coolant, and chemical constituents through system to effect prescribed reaction within critical limits
  • Performs preventive maintenance procedures at specified intervals to keep process equipment clean, and performing at optimum levels

**Where You Will Work**  
Our Henderson mine and mill are an hour drive apart - separated by the Continental Divide and a 15-mile conveyor system (10 miles underground). The Henderson mine is an underground molybdenum mining operation located approximately 42 miles west of Denver and 10 miles west of Empire. It has been in operation since 1976 and today consists of a large block-cave, underground mining complex feeding a concentrator with a current capacity of approximately 32,000 metric tons per day. It can produce approximately 15 million pounds of molybdenum per year. The Henderson mill is located 15 miles west of the mine, between Dillon and Kremmling. 
Both sites are surrounded by US Forest Service (  land of the Arapaho National Forest ( , making it easy for our employees and their families to enjoy year-round hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing in the area. Employees who are required to work on-site are eligible for a $1,450 monthly housing allowance, provided they meet program guidelines.
**Description**
This position is located at the Henderson Mine, which is in an underground mine plant setting at an elevation of 10,800 feet above sea level. This may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles.
Semi-skilled employees who operate at least one material handling system in the production process, such as conveyors, transfer chutes, flow systems, and flotation/grind mills.
Employees will work under minimal supervision in environments where the primary objective is safe production.
Area housekeeping to include tasks such as shoveling, using fire hose, and digging - Operation/control of processing equipment per operating guidelines - Operation of mobile equipment - Equipment monitoring via computer and data entry via computer - Identifies and reports machinery maintenance needs - Perform other tasks as assigned
**Qualifications**
Minimum Qualifications - Six (6) months of experience in the trade - Experience with material handling equipment - Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.
**What We Offer You**
The estimated pay range for this role is currently  **$5.00 - 32.00 hour.** This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
