Supervises staff in Patient Financial Services, overseeing daily team operations to ensure timely billing and collections on accounts receivables using the Epic Resolute Hospital Billing system and clearinghouses. Monitors staff productivity for both quantity and quality, ensuring appropriate actions and documentation are completed. Performs training for staff. Administers progressive disciplinary action, as needed, for performance and policy infractions. Monitors work processes to identify and implement process improvement opportunities. Ensures all billing and collection activities are compliant with federal, state, and industry standards and regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
2 years of experience - hospital billing, processing claim edits, denials, appeals and managing accounts receivable.
Experience with Epic Resolute Hospital Billing or similar hospital billing systems.
In lieu of Bachelor's: 5 years of experience in a lead/supervisory role OR 7+ years of progressive experience in revenue cycle accounts receivable for a large hospital or health system

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Financial Services Officer is responsible for opening new accounts and performing maintenance with accuracy, efficiency and professionalism, meeting the high quality service delivery standards of the Bank. The Financial Services Officer is responsive to the needs of both internal and external customers by maintaining a thorough knowledge of and introducing Bank services and products that may be of interest to them. Incumbents in this position are typically experienced in New Accounts who can handle the full range of retail and commercial transactions. How You'll Make a Difference
- Handle all facets of new accounts including opening new accounts, superseding accounts, account maintenance, research projects, ordering checks and notary services.
- Cross-selling Banc of California products and services through a thorough knowledge of services and customer needs.
- Assist with daily and monthly audits and certifications. Prepare documentation for new accounts under the Bank's CIP/BSA and other Bank policies.
- Maintain a high-level knowledge of legal documentation required for various entity types.
- Be able to comprehend complicated new accounts deals and relied upon in satisfactorily handle complex client requests on their own, with minimum supervision.
- Input new accounts on IBS and submit complete package.
- Have a knowledge of and be a backup to other operational duties including Teller and assisting the Branch Operations Manager and Branch Manager.
- Provide assistance with end of day closing, to include cash balancing (vault & ATM).
- Assist with processing and scanning of daily Teller work.
- Maintain a high-level knowledge of treasury management products and the ability to identify when to cross sell these products.
- Help with the training and onboarding of new team members.

About the Role
We're looking for a positive, customer-focused go-getter to join our team as a Financial Services Representative (combination of Teller and Personal Banker). In this role, you'll be the friendly face our customers rely on for everyday banking, while also helping them discover products and services that make their financial lives easier.
What You'll Do:
Greet customers and process transactions quickly and accurately
Balance and maintain your cash drawer daily
Open and close accounts (checking, savings, CDs, NOW accounts, etc.)
Provide exceptional customer service and build long-term relationships

Perform basic loan administration as needed
