Skills and Requirements
Design, develop a web application and backend services using TypeScript and Python.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to implement technical solutions.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of professional experience in software development.
Knowledge of or experience with Palantir Foundry
Proficiency in TypeScript and Python, with a solid understanding of modern frameworks.
Experience with RESTful API design and development.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
Ability to be highly adaptable, learning new technologies quickly.

The Algorithms, Modeling and Assessments (AMA) Division of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Senior Front End Developer for a mission application to be deployed in security-compliant cloud environments. You will be a core member of the development team in helping to define, develop and deploy this vital cloud service for use in the Department of Defense. This system is deployed through web services and Docker containers deployed to Kubernetes clusters. Candidate will have a strong passion and background in software development and making quality production software at all stages of the software lifecycle, and able to take ownership of project execution.
As a primary contributor to our project team, your responsibilities will include (1) defining and implementing incremental improvements to deploy our current weapon effects software architecture (2) supporting project/product management tasking as required.
This is a hybrid position with an expectation of 3 days in-office based out of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Additionally, you will contribute to the overall integration of the computational, analysis, and visualization capabilities of the system.
Your day-to-day tasks will include planning and executing the development of cloud-enabled web applications while helping to plan the evolution of the environment. In addition, activities include:

React Front End Developer Requirements:

U.S. citizen with a active Secret security clearance (or higher).

BS in Computer Science (or related) with 8-10 years of relevant work experience.

React or another significant front-end architecture (like Angular or Vue).

Experience with automated testing, both in your development workflow and through enterprise CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with API-based services and integrations.

Experience with enterprise-level development practices and processes.

True problem solver with a drive to find solutions to technical challenges.
React Front End Developer Preferences:

Experience using GitLab services.

MS in Computer Science (or related) with 6-8 years of relevant experience.

Experience deploying and integrating Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) software into a cloud environment.
