The Web Specialist will create and build content for external-facing Rochester Regional Health websites, email newsletters, and other web platforms that support the Digital Engagement and Marketing efforts of the organization. The Web Specialist will report to the Director of Digital Engagement and will interact closely with the Marketing and Communications teams as well as other subject matter experts across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer and manage the RRH web and digital platforms. Including website content management systems, deployment platforms, form builder platforms, redirects, and administrative tools.

  • Update and optimize content for Rochester Regional Health web properties on a regular basis. This includes managing content by building, editing, and deleting web pages (and associated graphic assets) to create accurate and user-friendly websites. managing and configuring users, templates, training, workflows, integrations, etc.

  • Monitor websites and digital applications for consistency and compliance with Rochester Regional Health brand standards, accessibility standards, HIPAA and security compliance.

  • Identify ways to improve and maximize Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for Rochester Regional Health web properties, working closely with other members of the Digital Engagement team.

  • Track and report on website analytics, performance, KPIs, and overall health and quality of Rochester Regional Health web properties.

  • Work with the Marketing Strategist team to coordinate and execute strategic plans for content on Rochester Regional Health websites.

  • Support and triage issues, features, and enhancement requests for Rochester Regional Health web properties. Working with internal stakeholders and external vendors to develop requirements, manage sprints, and deployments.

  • Maintain and update knowledge base and training documentation for web platforms and team standard operating procedures.

  • Maintain current knowledge of “best practice” techniques in the fields of online and emerging web technologies.

  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors or equivalent experience in New Media Design, Communications, Information Technology or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working Knowledge of Content Management Systems (Sitecore 10, Sitecore XM Cloud, WordPress, Drupal, etc).

  • Knowledge and understanding of effective web design principles, front-end website languages including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end website frameworks such as Bootstrap, React, Angular, and GraphQL.

  • Experience with modern design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, Miro, Figma, Canva, etc.).

  • Healthcare experience a plus.

  • Knowledge of PiwikPro, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Sitecore Analytics, and Sitecore XP a plus.

  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills and extreme attention to detail are necessary for this position.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

**Responsibilities:**
Ensures that the organization's websites provide up-to-date and comprehensive product/service information that is easily available to existing and potential customers. Establishes and maintains an information architecture that is well organized, user-friendly, and presents a consistent corporate look and feel. Coordinates the development, integration, format design and release of content from writers and designers. Analyzes the use of website content and design. Makes recommendations to improve information content architecture and design. Employs focus groups, surveys, web statistics, email, etc., to elicit feedback and improve website content and organization. May mentor and oversee the work of lower level staff.
Under the direction of the Director, Web Services or their designee, the Web Specialist II is responsible for gathering requirements, architecting, developing, testing, optimizing, and managing web content and structure for URMC's websites and digital properties. Working collaboratively with faculty and staff, ensures the organization's websites provide up-to-date and comprehensive information. Establishes and maintains websites that are well-organized and user friendly. The Web Specialist II provides strategic insight and support in answering client business needs and challenges. Coordinates the development, integration, format design and release of content from other URMC Communications team members as well as Medical Center colleagues and stakeholders. Assists in the development and maintenance of web properties that are innovative, drive measurable engagement, and are built from a user-centered perspective.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Builds and manages web pages and digital platforms
+ Works with clients to identify business goals and recommends digital solutions that support those goals. Through conversation and research, identifies and translates client requirements into projects. Seeks feedback from clients to improve upon designs.
+ Utilizes solid command of user experience standards, accessibility guidelines, industry recommendations, data, content principles and best practices to create and edit website content within Content Management Systems. Analyzes website content and design data to make recommendations to clients.
+ Monitors Web Services ticketing system and responds to help tickets. Conducts research as needed. Resolves any issues or escalates to ISD as needed and reports status to senior management.
+ Manages administration of digital platforms including user access and maintenance.
