We are looking for a Director who will lead Manufacturing Automation within our Enterprise Operations group. We need a determined individual who can develop a technology strategy and roadmap for automation solutions across Medtronic Manufacturing while working closely with cross-functional teams to implement these solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement differentiating automation solutions and system software to create scalable and flexible operations within all lines of business

  • Oversee the investigation and evaluation of existing technologies

  • Guide the conceptualization of new methodologies, materials, machines, processes or products

  • Organize the coordination of activities with outside suppliers and consultants to ensure timely delivery

  • Select, develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

  • Conduct studies to determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow by analyzing manufacturing processes and cost

  • Facilitate solutions to complex problems with the team, which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Drive change within the automation team and share those learning across other teams (and functions).

  • Define project scope including both technical and business requirements; budgets, volumes, technical reliability, and personnel capabilities needed to complete complex automated processes. Develop and implement project activities plans and timelines, coordinate subcontractors, facility management and field service personnel, and resolve problems in area of logistics to ensure meeting of contractual commitments.

  • Prepare and report out regular project updates to Senior Level Management

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of Manufacturing Automation/Leadership experience with 7+ years of managerial experience OR advanced degree and 8+ years of Manufacturing Automation/Leadership experience and 7+ years of managerial experience

  • Experience across numerous roles/functions within Manufacturing and Supply Chain with demonstrated success in each area

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $217,600.00 - $326,400.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. The Warehouse Associate – West Region is a key position crucial to the overall success of daily operations. Associates are expected to perform several warehouse tasks, with the ultimate goal of preserving inventory accuracy and executing job functions with the highest levels of efficiency possible. The individual in this role will perform multiple job functions including picking, packing, and shipping orders, receiving shipments, scheduling freight, cycle counting, driving the delivery route and overall organization and cleanliness of the warehouse facility. A Warehouse Associate – West Region at CSI must be able to do light repairs, have self-initiative, take pride and ownership in their tasks, and work well within a team or on their own. Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, and written) are required. High attention to detail and the desire to achieve 100% customer satisfaction is a must.

The Warehouse Associate - West Region duties include:

Primary Functions
Inbound Material Handling
• Receive all types of material per procedure recording transactions in ERP – daily
o Purchase Order Receipts
o Subcontractor Receipts

• Scan and index documentation including MTR, COC, Supplier Packing Slips - daily

Lead the execution of laboratory testing services at laboratories within an assigned region, including all routine microbiological and chemical testing. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and support direct reports within assigned region (Lab Managers, Operations Managers, Technical Managers) in their work.
  • Ensure senior laboratory management staff (Lab Managers, Operations Managers, Technical Managers) are managing each laboratory in a consistent way, using Certified Group's standard operating model.
  • Ensure all laboratories' day-to-day operational microbiological and chemistry test execution is in compliance with Certified Group's standard operating procedures (SOPs) as well as with relevant regulatory & accreditation requirements.
  • Ensure all assigned laboratories maintain and manage relevant proficiency and quality control processes and related records, including documentation, corrective action and reporting.
  • Ensure individualized customer service, communication, and issue escalation / resolution is maintained at each assigned laboratory with all customer samples processed in accordance with the specified methods and within agreed turnaround times; directly interact with customers in resolving issues as necessary.
  • Measure and regularly communicate the operational performance (revenue, cost, quality, time, customer issues) of all assigned laboratories using Certified Group's established standardized metrics.
  • Hire, train, engage, empower, develop and mentor assigned senior laboratory management staff in accordance with Certified Group's management standards.
  • Ensure senior laboratory management staff are effectively hiring, training, and coaching front line staff as well as identifying and developing the next generation of senior laboratory leadership.
  • Establish performance goals for each laboratory (cost, quality, time, customer issues) in collaboration with senior laboratory leadership staff and the Executive Leader.
  • Establish and manage budget / P&L for each assigned laboratory in coordination with the Executive Leader (including capital & facilities), reflecting both current operations and anticipated business volume growth.
  • Actively contribute to improving Certified Group's standard operating model to facilitate continued company growth.
  • Execute ongoing productivity improvement strategy in each assigned laboratory, leveraging internal and external best practices (e.g., labor and equipment utilization, process improvements).
  • Assist in sales and marketing as well as other Certified Group's departments as requested.
  • Ensure continuous process improvements across assigned region, including consistency across each of the sites in the region.

SUPERVISION

  • Supervise multiple laboratory operations within a region.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ten plus years industrial food safety and quality assurance preferred

This role will be based in Southern California, reporting to the Director, Energy Projects - Americas, and focused on managing EPC partners through the design, engineering, construction, and commissioning of portfolios of projects.

Each Prologis Project Manager covers a region of the Americas working on a variety of solar & energy storage projects, collaborating with other Project Managers and team members on best practices and innovation. The Project Managers are supported by Project Coordinators, Engineers, & contracted Construction Managers. The Energy Project Manager's work is critical to achieving our commitment to reach Net Zero operations globally by 2040 and operate 1GW of Solar & Storage assets by 2025.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities for 60+ projects with 10+ in construction phase at any given time.
  • Managing the relationship and work of 2-3 EPC partners; prioritizing each portfolio of projects to optimize efficiencies, maximizing utilization of their capacity and growth potential.
  • Forecasting and benchmarking progress against quarterly goals and monthly targets for Mechanical Completion & Placed in Service milestones.
  • Accountable for internal reporting of key milestones and status of assigned projects, weekly.
  • Managing power purchase agreement requirements, exceeding expectations of all customers, producing customer facing reports, and leading regular meetings with Fortune 100 companies, CCAs, & other IOUs.
  • Coordinating various scopes effectively between EPC partners, utilities, and Prologis property management teams
  • Driving timely delivery of utility interconnection deliverables, designs, and upgrades.
  • Managing Prologis-owned inventory of equipment and timely delivery to job sites.
  • Supporting Sales and Development with scope, schedule, & cost reviews; constructability & value engineering input; risk assessments; interconnection coordination; and contracting input.
  • Facilitate timely close of projects; collection, review, and approval of all asset records; and a smooth hand-off to Prologis Asset Management team and our O&M partners.
  • Innovate and develop creative solutions for industry and project specific challenges.
  • Develop and improve processes, procedures, and best practices

Building blocks for success

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing construction projects in a Project Management role
  • Experience managing utilities, clients, and contractors through complex multi-site portfolios
  • Proven track record of construction scope, schedule, & budget management success in renewable energy industry
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills and experience serving Fortune 100 clients
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, applicable codes, and install best practices
  • Experience complying with prevailing wage and other regulatory requirements
  • Familiarity and experience with CAISO New Recourse Integration processes
  • Strong negotiation and mediation skills
  • OSHA 10 certified
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the year

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, environmental sciences or related field is preferred or 8+ years of equivalent experience in Construction Management

Hiring Salary Range of: $ 134,000 $185,000 . Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate's location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

  • Ensure senior laboratory management staff (Lab Managers, Operations Managers, Technical Managers) are managing each laboratory in a consistent way, using Certified Group's standard operating model.
  • Ensure all laboratories' day-to-day operational microbiological and chemistry test execution is in compliance with Certified Group's standard operating procedures (SOPs) as well as with relevant regulatory & accreditation requirements.
  • Ensure all assigned laboratories maintain and manage relevant proficiency and quality control processes and related records, including documentation, corrective action and reporting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

We are currently looking for a Regional Lab Director to join our growing team!

JOB SUMMARY

Lead the execution of laboratory testing services at laboratories within an assigned region, including all routine microbiological and chemical testing. Ensure laboratory management staff (Lab Managers, Operations Managers, Technical Managers) effectively execute all required ongoing operations including but not limited to KPI management, testing, customer service, maintenance, compliance and quality management, financial management, and people management (including hiring, onboarding, and training).

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and support direct reports within assigned region (Lab Managers, Operations Managers, Technical Managers) in their work.
  • Ensure senior laboratory management staff (Lab Managers, Operations Managers, Technical Managers) are managing each laboratory in a consistent way, using Certified Group's standard operating model.
  • Ensure all laboratories' day-to-day operational microbiological and chemistry test execution is in compliance with Certified Group's standard operating procedures (SOPs) as well as with relevant regulatory & accreditation requirements.
  • Ensure all assigned laboratories maintain and manage relevant proficiency and quality control processes and related records, including documentation, corrective action and reporting.
  • Ensure individualized customer service, communication, and issue escalation / resolution is maintained at each assigned laboratory with all customer samples processed in accordance with the specified methods and within agreed turnaround times; directly interact with customers in resolving issues as necessary.
  • Measure and regularly communicate the operational performance (revenue, cost, quality, time, customer issues) of all assigned laboratories using Certified Group's established standardized metrics.
  • Hire, train, engage, empower, develop and mentor assigned senior laboratory management staff in accordance with Certified Group's management standards.
  • Ensure senior laboratory management staff are effectively hiring, training, and coaching front line staff as well as identifying and developing the next generation of senior laboratory leadership.
  • Establish performance goals for each laboratory (cost, quality, time, customer issues) in collaboration with senior laboratory leadership staff and the Executive Leader.
  • Establish and manage budget / P&L for each assigned laboratory in coordination with the Executive Leader (including capital & facilities), reflecting both current operations and anticipated business volume growth.
  • Actively contribute to improving Certified Group's standard operating model to facilitate continued company growth.
  • Execute ongoing productivity improvement strategy in each assigned laboratory, leveraging internal and external best practices (e.g., labor and equipment utilization, process improvements).
  • Assist in sales and marketing as well as other Certified Group's departments as requested.
  • Ensure continuous process improvements across assigned region, including consistency across each of the sites in the region.

SUPERVISION

  • Supervise multiple laboratory operations within a region.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ten plus years industrial food safety and quality assurance preferred
  • Five plus years third party laboratory experience
  • BS degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Technology, or related Engineering field
  • M.S. degree preferred
  • Or equivalent combination and experience
  • Proven ability to recruit, train, develop, and coach teams as well as identify and mentor next generation leaders in a multi-location services business
  • Proven management skills including budgeting, labor analysis, and cost management in a multi-location services business
  • Direct process improvement experience and knowledge preferred (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, TQM)
  • Advanced studies in food science and/or microbiological analysis preferred
