Straddling West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico over an area roughly the size of Kansas, the Permian is the most prolific oil and gas basin in America and the engine behind the country's energy renaissance. Assemblers will use a variety of hand, electric, and pneumatic tools. Assemblers are responsible for working together to improve manufacturing processes and promote a climate of cooperation.Assembly may include but is not limited to the following:The sub-assembly of components and full assembly of finishedThe installation and/or connection of wiring harnesses and associated Electronic componentsThe installation and/or connection of piping and associated plumbing componentsThe set up and completion, of various simple welding operationsTesting of assembly components for oil and/or air leaks, simple electrical malfunctions and various other simple testing. Repairs to be made when failures are detectedThe use of standard machine tools including, but not limited to drill press, band saw, lathe, press breaks, laser, pipe bender, spot welder etc., and a variety of hand, electric, and pneumatic tools will be requiredPaint applications will include, but not limited to dry sanding, masking, unmasking, finish paint, stencil, seal and touch up Material transport may include the use of but not limited to radio-controlled cranes, forklifts and tuggersPrying and setting heavy equipmentWork with all facility employees on improving manufacturing processes through prototyping, fabrication and experimental machining to develop and prove concepts and design and implement necessary fixtures and tooling for manufacturing improvementsPromote climate of cooperation, leading by example mentoring others in quality, safety, environmental, lean and high-performance work team philosophiesMinimum Requirements4-day (Monday through Thursday), 10-hour shift work week. Shift hours are 5:00AM - 3:30PM (1st shift) and 3:15PM - 1:45AM (2nd Shift ). Must be able to work scheduled shift hours.Starting pay rate is $26.55 per hour (up to $7.64/hour after 6-month progression and 28.54/hr at 4 years of service) .Must be able to read blueprints, schematics and manufacturing instructions in a sufficient manner to complete the assigned assembly tasksMinimum of 1 year of experience using electrical and/or pneumatic hand toolsMust be 18 years of age or olderHigh-school diploma or GED or equivalentMust be willing to wear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs and safety shoesMust be willing to work in a tobacco-free environmentBe willing to take a drug test, physical & submit to a background check as part of the selection processBe willing to submit to random drug testsLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
