Job Purpose:

Hy-Tek is looking for a dynamic and motivated Warehouse Management System Implementation Consultant. This role is an exciting opportunity for an organized, self-driven individual to work on our Professional Services Team on the implementation of new accounts, to help clients adapt their operations to our WMS and TMS applications.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Subject Matter expert on the IntraOne WMS, WCS and TMS applications across multiple clients.
  • Train IntraOne Consultants in the Best Practice use of the INTRAONE WMS and TMS.
  • Analyze and find solutions for escalated Decisions, Risks, Issues and Change Requests during the day-to-day interactions with the client and project team.
  • Manage Client Expectations to increase perception of competence, skill, and customer focus of the IntraOne Project Team.
  • Manage Client Expectations to increase perception of value in the IntraOne Applications to their business and profitability.
  • Mentor/Develop IC1/IC2 consultants to grow their skills with applying IntraOne WMS, WCS and TMS application in their specific client’s warehouse operations.
  • Ensure Project Teams follow the INTRAONE Professional Services Implementation methodology to meet and exceed expectations of clients concerning functionality, timeline and budget.
  • Provide suggested improvement to the IntraOne Professional Services Implementation methodologies to improve impact on IntraOne profitability.
  • Matrix reporting to the Hy-Tek Project Manager for client specific activities and IntraOne VP of Professional Service for training and development.
  • Excellent requirements gathering skills to gather and interpret all necessary information including technical requirements for implementations.
  • Identify improvements for internal communications within teams to drive a consistent, high-quality experience for our customers throughout the implementation process.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management / Logistics preferred.
  • Previous Software Implementation experience with IntraOne or peer applications.
  • Previous Consulting Experience working with and leading customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, SmartSuite and DevOps.
  • Keen attention to detail with strong follow through skills.
  • Disciplined, self-starter with the ability to multi-task and to work autonomously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to relay information in a timely manner, especially requirements gathering.

What’s your role:

Our WMS Consultant is expected to act as a counsellor to our customers for :

  • Solutioning technical design of our customers’ requests
  • Developing complex enhancements to our existing platforms

Day-to-day you will:

- Using Inbound, Outbound, Warehouse, and/or Engineering subject matter expertise, lead the systems implementation team to deliver a WMS instance across the US Foods network.
- Evaluate current and/or intended warehouse environments, identify fit to standard solutions, configure process and technology to achieve intended outcomes.
- Document new processes for warehouse functions aligned with new technology.
- Understand change activities and contribute to risk assessment and mitigation.
- Act as a SME for the local Operations Team and provide hands-on training as necessary.
- Drive accountability of the project execution and delivery of successful operations based on warehouse KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and customer SLAs.
- Execute system configuration, implementation, and testing activities within the scope of a project.
- Act as a change agent and assist operational teams with the transition from as-is / to-be processes and systems.
- Function as a subject matter expert and drive the alignment of system functionality to desired processes and outcomes with the project team.
- Evaluate system and operational performance to identify issues or opportunities for improvement and collaborate on solution development or resolution.
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders with professionalism and the ability to connect system functionality to business processes.

- Close partnership with SC IT team in coordinating systems and hardware requirements, integration, testing, and acceptance
**External:**
- Professional networks, industry organizations, systems and equipment vendors, and/or consultants focused on leading practices in supply chain systems and technology deployment
**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
- Remote: This role is fully remote; the associate is expected to perform assigned responsibilities from a home-based environment.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- BS Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent related work experience
- Minimum 6 years of experience leading process development in complex warehouse environments, WMS implementations, warehouse operations focused continual improvement, or other relevant experience
- Up to 80% travel
- Analytical skills and experience identifying potential issues and developing contingency plans
- Capable of being a strong team member while able to manage individual priorities
- Experience delivering on-the-job coaching to warehouse staff as it relates to process and systems
- Strong skills in developing workflow solutions to simplify process operations
- The ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Ability to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative, team-based environment
- Have a broad-based general technology mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint) and/or G Suite. Experience using and implanting modern cloud-based warehouse management solutions (e.g., Blue Yonder, Manhattan, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to interact effectively across the organization including with senior level management
- Strong ability to communicate with IT users, warehouse operators, and business leaders to craft processes that enable favorable business outcomes

Position Summary:

The MAWM Technical Consultant is responsible for leading WMS implementation, and will actively participate in WMS design, configuration, integration design, and enterprise architecture assessment. Serve as the subject matter expert on Manhattan Associates (MA) Warehouse Management System (MAWM), leveraging in-depth knowledge of MAWM functions, technical architecture, data design and integration patterns

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify functional and technical requirements of the MA ACTIVE WMS application for retail, ecommerce, and 3PL distribution centers.
  • Collaborate with clients team during software design process to understand business requirements, workflows, and data maps.
  • Document business requirements, integration requirements, reporting requirements and use cases.
  • Lead implementation from initial project conception through final installation.
  • Assist development teams and facilitate solution design sessions. Act as an advocate for the client to drive value through efficient design and solution engineering
  • Works directly with the customer project team (primarily on site) during configuration, testing, training, and implementation phases.
  • Design, configure and Implement MAWM functions.
  • Analyze and review WMS host Integration mappings and configure the integrations mapping in WMS.
  • Develop Test Plans and Test case.
  • Facilitate and support functional and user acceptance testing.
  • Develop Prototypes/Proof of Concepts using new functionality in WMS.
  • Consistently determine how to maximize business value from WMS.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 3 + years experience of Manhattan ACTIVE WMS implementations.
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain concepts with applications used in warehouse.
  • Experience in Manhattan Active API ecosystem
  • Experience in Manhattan Proactive extensibility.
  • Experience in troubleshooting MAWM issues.
  • Experience with Host - WMS Integration using built-in, off-the-shelf and custom integration solutions.
  • Knowledge of integrating warehouse management systems with other equipment and systems such as MHE systems, Warehouse control systems (WCS), Warehouse Execution systems (WES) and pick-to-light systems etc. is desirable.
  • Understanding of WMS Operations in multi-tenant/multi-client warehouse environment.
  • Experience with WMS Reports/ Supply Chain Intelligence tools is desired.
  • Understanding of Transportation Management and Execution system
  • Understanding of EDI and integration technologies / methodologies related to WMS systems.
  • Experience working with Supply Chain projects, including eCom and Retail Orders orchestration, Order Management System (OMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management System (WMS),
  • Experience with continuous engineering or other agile methods to keep pace with frequent changes and to reduce complexity.
