Position Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and service-oriented Workday Administrator to join our IT department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and ongoing support of our Workday environment, which includes Financials, Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll, Adaptive Planning (FP&A), and Talent Acquisition modules. This role will serve as a key liaison between IT and functional users in Finance, HR, Payroll, Recruiting, and Client Services, ensuring Workday supports and evolves with the company's North American business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary administrator for Workday, managing configuration, security, integrations, and reporting across modules.
- Partner with stakeholders in Finance, HR, Payroll, Recruiting, and Client Services to understand and support their operational needs.
- Troubleshoot issues, manage change requests, and coordinate enhancements and testing with internal teams and external Workday support.
- Maintain system documentation, user guides, and training resources.
- Monitor system performance, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance with internal policies and controls.
- Stay current on Workday updates and new features, proactively identifying opportunities to improve system efficiency and user experience.

Job Description
The Workday Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration and maintenance of the Workday platform. This includes managing user accounts, permissions, and security settings; monitoring system performance and availability; and troubleshooting technical issues. Our client is seeking Workday Security Administrator, a collaborative and consultative change agent responsible for managing, monitoring, supporting, and governing the security of the Workday application while adhering to security policies and controls. This role requires prior Workday HR, Payroll, Reporting, and Integrations systems security knowledge and experience, preferably implementing or managing Workday HCM and Payroll security.
The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally, working with teams to understand security needs, document comprehensive security requirements, partner with Information Security Officers to ensure compliance with corporate standards, and serve as the subject matter expert for Workday security configuration.
Key Accountabilities:
- Own end-to-end Workday security administration.
- Maintain a close audit/vigil of all security nuances and ensure that the production tenant is safe, stable, and compliant across all permissions, privileges, and access controls.
- Provide expert advice and security-related consultancy by leading security design and bringing best practices to Workday cross-functional teams.
- Review and approve Workday security requests.
- Create, document, and maintain internal control procedures and results.
- Maintain the Workday security configuration documentation.
- Perform security impact analysis for change requests and Workday releases.
- Collaborate with internal project teams and external partner resources.
- Assess the feasibility of security configuration changes and their impact on HR and Payroll business processes.

Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or other related field of study, or equivalent experience.
- Three (3) to Five (5) years of HR systems experience.
- Working knowledge of Workday Security.
- Results-oriented with a high degree of independence, collaboration, agility, and adaptability.
- Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences.
