The Enterprise Technology Core Systems and Platforms team leads the planning, implementation, and sustainment of technologies supporting seamless and unique experiences. Workforce Technology focuses specifically on supporting the HR function.

The Workforce Technology team is looking for a Senior Workday Extend Developer to work closely with our clients and internal teams to understand their business needs and provide them with solutions that leverage Workday Extend capabilities and best practices. They will engage in designing, developing, testing, and deploying custom applications using Workday Extend platform. They will also help to upskill existing Workday developers and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and standards.

Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and deploy custom applications using Workday Extend platform and related technologies such as Java, XML, XSLT, SOAP, REST, Javascript, Python, etc.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather and analyze requirements, provide technical guidance, estimations, and deliver solutions that meet or exceed their expectations.
• Follow agile methodologies and adhere to coding standards, quality assurance, security, and documentation practices.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide resolutions or recommendations.
• Mentor and coach junior developers and share knowledge and best practices.

KPMG iscurrently seeking a Manager, Workday Cutover Lead for our Consulting practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and collaborate across Program Teams, Technical teams, and implementation resources to develop and manage a comprehensive cutover schedule encompassing technical (reports, integrations, security), functional (HCM, Payroll, Finance, Procurement), and OCM (communications, change management, training) workstreams.
  • Oversee Workday HCM projects with a focus on strategy, implementation support, and ERP optimization, ensuring alignment with IT operations, business processes, security, and data integrity.
  • Manage day-to-day ERP Advisory engagement activities including process design, implementation lifecycle support, and project reviews.
  • Field questions and escalations related to cutover activities, working with stakeholders to resolve issues and close open items.
  • Coordinate with system owners, SMEs, and workstreams to ensure cutover and system remediation deliverables are completed on time.
  • Provide detailed reporting on cutover progress, challenges, and risks, and collaborate with project teams to develop mitigation strategies that support a successful go-live.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of enterprise resource planning (ERP), HCM implementation and upgrade experience
  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college/university
  • Completion of one full implementation with Workday HCM and Workday certification in HCM or Integration (Please note that any candidate hired by KPMG into this position that doesn't currently hold the aforementioned certification will be required to secure one within three months from the commencement of employment)
  • Strong verbal and analytical skills with the ability to write at a publication quality level
  • Detailed understanding of ERP System concepts and general module functionality
  • Travel as required
