POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the clinical care of patients with multi-system needs and diagnostic evaluations. This position provides leadership, direction and support for clinical services in the pursuit to achieve quality outcomes, reduce costs, and shape and interpret the standards required to ensure a high degree of patient, provider and employee satisfaction. This position may also have responsibilities for other facility specific patient outcomes.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Plans, directs and monitors clinical care. Provides advice, counsel, feedback and coordination to promote a collegiality between staff, providers and the leadership team.
2. Ensures that development of clinical care services leads to outcomes supportive of the facility and organization's strategic plan. Design and implement processes to ensure regulatory and standards of safety are met and followed. Develops and implements new programs to bring new business.
3. Provides direction for process improvement activities, including the establishment of performance measures to attain optimal clinical, operational, financial and satisfaction outcomes. Directs the collection, analysis and presentation of data on utilization patterns and other program outcomes.
4. Directs personnel actions including recruiting, new hire actions, interviewing and selection of new staff, salary determinations, training, and personnel evaluations. Developments goals and objectives in accordance with company standards.
5. Manages the financial and capital resources for services by monitoring operating revenue and expenses, establishing and maintaining cost control programs and developing and implementing new or revised programs and/or services. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field or equivalent experience typically achieved with 5 - 7 years in relevant healthcare operations and prior leadership experience.
Must have considerable experience with appropriate patient population in the area of responsibility. Must possess demonstrated flexibility in responding to the needs of multiple constituencies with a service-oriented philosophy. Must also possess demonstrated skill in problem analysis, project management, contract negotiation, conflict resolution and oral/written presentation. Requires strong working knowledge of clinical area or areas of responsibility.

Job Description
100% FTE, Full-time. Monday -Friday 8am-5pm Variable based on dept need. May need to flex start and end times to support all three shifts. You will work at the UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford, IL.
Additional components of compensation may include:
- Evening, night, and weekend shift differential

Qualifications
- Completed an accredited radiologic technology program, a recognized military radiologic technologist training program, or possess two years of related clinical experience in a military setting. Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Radiology, Management or related health field. Preferred
Work Experience
- 5 years experience in imaging field of expertise. Required
- 2 years Supervisory experience in an Imaging area. Required
- Experience with effectively managing resources and budgets. Required
- Experience developing goals and objectives, and establishing priorities. Required
Licenses & Certifications
- Registered with the appropriate Radiology/Medical Imaging governing body: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Required

Job Description
Under the general supervision of the Health Care Technology Manager, performs duties pertaining to acquisition, installation,
calibration, repair and maintenance of medical imaging equipment.
Essential Responsibilities:
+ Advises on specifications for purchases on new medical imaging equipment and recommends replacement of obsolete or irreparable equipment. Provides new product evaluation as requested.
+ Consults and collaborates with key stakeholders to prepare for installation and deployment of medical imaging equipment and systems, including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, gas, pneumatics, software, networking and integration to data/information retention systems. Performs or coordinates assembly and installation of medical equipment, including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, gas, pneumatics, software, networking and integration to data/information retention systems. Prepares periodic maintenance instructions for medical equipment. Performs required safety inspection and performance assurance on new medical equipment. Assess medical equipment and systems for compliance with HIPAA storage and security policies. Completes documentation for entry into the centralized maintenance management system. Completes and maintains system function, configuration and support documentation.
+ Directly performs or schedules with outside service vendors the performance assessment and preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment per established procedures. Documents work performed.
+ Analyzes and corrects malfunctions on a variety of medical equipment systems. Analysis and corrective methods include but are not limited to observation of front panel and controls; interpretation of block and schematic diagrams; utilization of appropriate test equipment; replacement of components, PC boards, sub-systems and software; adjustment and restoration of network connectivity and integration to data/information retention systems; calibration and adjustment to manufacturers specifications; working with clinical personnel to correct operator based problems; documentation of work performed including that provided by outside service.
+ Performs or coordinates remediation action on medical equipment safety and recall hazard alerts.
+ Performs investigative evaluation of medical equipment involved in patient and employee incidents / accidents. Documents findings and reports as required.
+ Provides training and assigns work orders to third party service vendors and student trainees. Completes documentation of action taken in the centralized maintenance management system.
+ Performs or coordinates the decommissioning of medical equipment per established policies.
+ Assists, as required, with staff in-service education. Cross train new employees on use on test equipment, department procedure, and medical system support.
+ Education - Develops and implements a plan for professional growth. Maintains current with advancing technology, including Kaiser provided training as required to perform duties.
+ Performs miscellaneous duties as directed in support of the need of the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
+ Minimum five (5) years of experience servicing medical imaging equipment.
Education
+ AAS degree in biomedical equipment service technology, electronic service technology, or computer service technology from an accredited program or military biomedical equipment training.
License, Certification, Registration
+ Driver's License (from any state) required at hire
+ Radiology Equipment Specialist Certificate (AAMI)
Additional Requirements:
+ Proficient knowledge in the operation and maintenance of medical imaging systems.
+ Must be able to demonstrate proficient use of test equipment used in servicing medical imaging systems.
+ Must have knowledge of standards and codes applicable to medical medical imaging systems.
+ Proficient in the use of testing instruments, devices, simulators, and tools associated with servicing electronic equipment
+ Mathematical ability, attention to detail (e.g. organization, prioritization, proofing), concentration, and alertness.
+ Reading, writing, and fluently speaking and, understanding English.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in the following areas: customer service, interpersonal relations, adaptability, change management, decision making, oral communication, problem solving, project management, quality management, results orientation, teamwork, and written communication.
+ Knowledge and skill using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Background servicing medical imaging equipment with emphasis on multi modality and multi manufacturer experience and years of service preferred.
+ Experience servicing computer client-server systems preferred.
+ Computer networking certification preferred.
+ Multiple formal manufacturer training on multi-modality imaging systems.
