The mission of the Extended Reality (XR) Developer Experience team is to make it easy for developers to create rich XR apps across multiple form factors. We ensure developers have all the tools necessary to painlessly develop Augmented Reality/Extended Reality (AR/XR) applications; separate from the device the app runs on. This work includes building and extending Android libraries, frameworks, engines, and tools to improve the developer experience as well as enabling low-to-no-cost porting/compatibility of existing apps into the XR platform.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. + Define the overall architecture and design of the Android XR SDK, develop APIs, and work across teams to build an Android XR SDK, with broad technical ownership over the full SDK including tools, documentation, and overall delivery.
+ Partner with XR Platform, Android Developer Experience, and XR Experiences teams to influence the technical choices that impact the XR Developer Experience.
+ Guide the development of the Android XR SDK on XR Headsets, to evolve the XR Developer Experience and bring the SDK to new form factors with additional capabilities.

- Develop and maintain core capabilities in Unreal Engine such as a terrain rendering pipeline, vehicle physics models, and many more
- Work with other platform teams at Anduril to ensure our service integrates seamlessly with other core services
- Integrate various plugins and third party capabilities into our platform, figuring out how to best make use of them and working around or fixing any bugs
- Collaborate closely with other teams across the company to enable them to integrate synthetic imagery and bring back lessons learned to help improve our product
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have 2+ years of professional C++ experience
- Must be willing to travel 10% for collaboration across offices.

You will build a synthetic imagery pipeline so realistic we can't tell the difference between synthetic images and real flight test data. We're looking for software engineers with strong coding skills and deep, relevant experience who can learn quickly and help build out the platform. Ideally candidates will have some background using Unreal Engine or other game engines and related tools and languages.
