You're an agile reporter with a deep Rolodex of technology-industry contacts and an intimate knowledge of the venture capital landscape, Silicon Valley's biggest personalities, and the most important emerging startups. Beyond writing about the news and its impact, you seek to bring new investing and startup trends to light and to inspire conversation through stories from across the technology beat. You're versatile enough to react quickly and write clearly on the most pressing breaking news of the day, while still pursuing broader and more influential investigations. You'll be asked to contribute to a variety of platforms, including the Bloomberg terminal, the web, Bloomberg TV and Originals videos, and Bloomberg Businessweek magazine.

+ Break news consistently
+ Write well, accurately and quickly, under sometimes tight deadlines
+ Lean on existing sources and develop new ones to break news and generate features about venture capital firms, investors and startups
+ Write original, feature-length stories about the venture capital and startup ecosystem and Silicon Valley/Silicon Alley culture
+ Collaborate with reporters and editors on the Global Technology team and others across teams and regions
+ Be committed to the best journalistic practices, sound judgment and a willingness to learn
You'll need to have:
+ Deep knowledge of and curiosity about the VC and startup universe
+ A consistent track record of breaking news and a portfolio of long-form features
+ The ability to write quickly and concisely under pressure
+ Technology journalism experience preferred
+ Strong work ethic, attention to detail, ability to work steadily and calmly under pressure

Salary Range = - USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The Opportunity
We're looking for a Fund Accountant (or Senior Fund Accountant) to join our lean, collaborative team. This role offers the chance to work on high-impact fund accounting tasks rather than repetitive busy work, thanks to our partnership with an external fund administrator. You'll work closely with the Controller and gain exposure to multiple aspects of the business through regular team meetings and cross-functional projects.
What You'll Do
+ Review monthly NAV reports and investor statements prepared by the fund administrator
+ Perform daily cash management, trade allocations, and reconciliations
+ Prepare portfolio performance, risk, and regulatory reports
+ Assist with annual audits and tax filings
+ Serve as a key contact for prime brokers, administrators, and other service providers
+ Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
+ Participate in special projects and system implementations

Requirements
What We're Looking For
+ Experience: 2-5 years in fund accounting, audit, tax, or fund administration (investment company experience preferred)
+ Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
+ Skills: Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP for investment companies
+ Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets
+ Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational abilities
+ Mindset: Curious, detail-oriented, and a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment
+ Familiarity with U.S. partnership tax returns is a plus

Jennifer Fukumae is partnering with a long-standing venture capital firm in Silicon Valley. They are seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join their finance team. This individual will oversee the accounts payable function across both the venture capital firm.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys collaborating across teams, and brings a high level of professionalism and attention to detail to their work.
Key Responsibilities
+ Supervise the accounts payable process for both the firm and family office.
+ Manage ACH, wire transfers, and check payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
+ Record transactions in the ledger and maintain proper documentation.
+ Oversee 1099 reporting and related compliance.
+ Review and process physical checks as needed.
+ Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve AP inquiries.
+ Support ongoing improvements to AP systems and processes, including system implementation projects.
Requirements
+ 4+ years of accounts payable experience; backgrounds in family office, financial services, or professional services are highly valued.
+ Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
+ Professionalism, dependability, and discretion in handling confidential information.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with individuals across all levels of the organization.
+ Self-motivated, deadline-driven, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
