Sacred Heart Catholic Churchis seeking a part-time (12-15 hours per week) Youth Ministry Leader in Danville, Virginia. Under the general supervision of the Director of Faith Formation, the Youth Ministry Leader is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing a comprehensive youth ministry program for high school students (grades 8-12), in accordance with the teachings and values of the Roman Catholic Church. This position fosters the spiritual growth of youth through faith formation, liturgy, service, and social events, encouraging active participation in the life of the parish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development & Leadership:

- Plan and lead weekly youth group meetings, retreats, and spiritual formation programs.
- Organize service projects, mission trips, and social activities that reflect Catholic values.
- Coordinate and support the preparation of youth for sacraments (e.g., Confirmation).
- Pastoral Ministry:

- Build relationships with youth and their families, providing pastoral care and support.
- Be present at parish events and Masses, encouraging youth involvement in liturgical ministries.
- Communication & Administration:

Qualifications:
- Practicing Roman Catholic in good standing, with a strong understanding of Catholic teaching and tradition.
- Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Education, Youth Ministry, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred but not required.
- Experience working with youth in a ministry or education setting.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Must complete diocesan background check and Safe Environment training.
- Certification in Youth Ministry or Catechetical Leadership.
- Bilingual (especially Spanish/English).
- Musical ability or familiarity with contemporary Catholic worship is a plus.
- Includes evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight retreats or trips.

The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) is seeking a Bilingual Youth Ministry Specialist. This is a part-time (20 hours) position located in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. This position works under the direction of the Associate Director for Church Multiplication and Grants and is responsible for implementing initiatives that advance the project's objectives among Hispanic youth in the Alliance. In the performance of these duties, this position will support the overall mission of the C&MA as described below.
Specific Duties
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessment with Hispanic youth and church leaders for mentoring and leadership development
- Promote participation in local, district, and national youth events to promote a sense of belonging, identity, and purpose
- Organize a youth mentoring program among Hispanic churches
- Maintain a leadership development program for youth to assume significant church roles
- Coordinate workshops for adult leaders working with youth in Hispanic Alliance churches
- Collaborate with district and regional youth leaders to incorporate discipleship opportunities in their programs to key events, ensuring accessibility and impact
- Connect participants with disciplemaking networks, mentors, and ministry opportunities that enhance their journey
- Provide participants with essential disciple-making tools by offering access to training materials, best practices, and relevant ministry connections
- Tracks project information to analyze the successful completion of short-term and long-term goals
- Prepare a report on the analysis of the data
- Assist in the preparation of reports
- Prepare appropriate documentation for the request of resources

About the Ministry
This staff leader will oversee a collaborative, growing ministry that connects Culpeper Baptist Church and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) to students in grades 6–12 across Culpeper County. The current youth ministry at Culpeper Baptist includes around 45 students, with an average weekly participation of 20, supported by a part-time intern and two volunteers. The ministry is primed for growth and innovation, with strong community partnerships, access to local schools, and a strategic downtown location near student gathering spaces. Culpeper County has two high schools and two middle schools, serving a total of 5,500 students—representing a tremendous opportunity for outreach.
