Overview
Lieutenant (Supervisor), SPO BRS - Basic Readiness Standard role at Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) managed by Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS).
Responsibilities- Provides tactical leadership, supervision and evaluation of all assigned Protective Force personnel and ensures they function effectively in responding to unusual or emergency situations.
- Responsible for evaluating personnel and ensuring station orders are current, inspecting security stations, reviewing official reports and logs and conducting surveys of security interests and facilities to assure compliance with requirements and contract obligations.
- Ensures that work is executed in accordance with Integrated Safety Management and Integrated Safeguards and Security Management functions and principles.
- Functions as the NNSS and NLV Facility Shift Supervisor.
- Responsible for all Protective Force (PF) tactical responses and day-to-day operations.
- Accountable for PF personnel management within assigned area, including training, counseling, gathering required information for investigations of incidents and assisting with security and safety management for emergency incidents at NNSS.
- Manages day-to-day activities, responsibilities, projects, and tasks to include evaluating performance.
- Performs personnel and safety equipment checks, prepares Situation Reports, Investigation Reports, and notifies of reportable offenses or incidents.
- Ensures posts are manned through implementation of a work schedule.
- Provides daily operational support, participates in, and assists in the management of daily business and department operations.
- Provides administrative oversight by reviewing and verifying reports, logs, and forms for accuracy.
- Provides overall Command & Control of security forces at geographically dispersed locations.
- Serves as the Zone Commander during security emergencies and participates in Force-on-Force (FOF) exercises.
- Interprets policies and regulations and instructs subordinates.
- Serves as Incident Command during security emergencies.
- Evaluates Security Police Officers (SPOs) and ensures station orders are current.
- Deploys personnel during responses and execution of contingency plans.
- Conducts investigations into security or personnel issues.
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience, plus a minimum of four (4) years protective force or similar law enforcement/military experience.
- Proficient knowledge following training of Federal and State Laws and Regulations, Department of Energy (DOE) Orders, Manuals, Guides, and Standards, NNSS/Nevada NNSA and MSTS policies, procedures, and orders as they relate to Protective Force services, Classified Matter and Operations Security.
- Extensive knowledge of Security Incident Response Plan (SIRP) and Rules of Engagement (ROE).
- Maintain successful participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP), NNSS Basic Supervisor certification, and Tactical Response Force 100 (TRF-100).
- Must be currently trained and certified as a Basic Readiness Standard SPO or Duty Officer (TRF-100, annual, semi-annual and quarterly recertification at the 70% requirement level).
- Other qualifications and certifications may also include Basic Instructor Training.
- Ability to meet Title 10 CFR 1046 SPO I Basic Readiness requirements.
- Ability to supervise others and build/lead teams; monitor and measure performance; problem solve.
- Knowledge of Basic Readiness security police officer requirements, including mental alertness and reliable judgment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; ability to read, understand, and follow instructions in English; must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be physically fit and maintain physical fitness requirements; willing to work underground and wear a respirator and pass a mask fit test.
- Able to manage work at multiple sites (NNSS and Losee Road facility in North Las Vegas, NV).
- Positions require day and night shifts ranging from 12–14 hours, Monday through Sunday, based on mission requirements.
- Pre-placement physical examination including drug screen; MSTS substance abuse policy with random drug testing.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and be able to obtain a Nevada Driver’s License.
The hourly rate range for this position is $37.62 - $60.19. Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the candidate education and experience, and internal equity.

Key Responsibilities
- As the Electrical Safety Subject Matter Expert, this position is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the MSTS electrical safety program, consistent with DOE requirements, OSHA, NFPA 70E and consensus standards. The objective of the electrical safety program is to ensure safe operations, maintenance and repair of MSTS electrical systems and experiments, including managing associated risks through control of electrical hazards.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert and interpretive authority for NFPA 70E.
- Develop, review and approve electrical hazard analysis documents.
- Provide electrical safety support for pulsed power systems and subsystems relating to accelerator applications.
- Keep current on applicable electrical standards and requirements.
- Conduct assessments of Electrical Safety Programs, including field inspections, procedure and policy reviews to identify weaknesses and corrective actions.
- Review, maintain and conduct training on Electrical Safety topics including Basic Electrical Safety, Lockout/Tagout, Capacitor Banks, Battery Banks and Electric Utilization.
- Conduct OSHA compliance evaluations, accident and incident investigations, program development and training.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Engineering Programs Division Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) required for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical engineering degrees

- The primary work location will be at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada).

Job DescriptionThe Radiological Control Department is looking for an individual with a strong attention to detail to work as a Principal Scientist with extensive experience in the field of health physics. This Scientist will have the ability to balance responsibilities with multiple organizations.
Responsibilities- Develop methods and techniques for acquiring, analyzing, and processing radiological data.
- Prepare a variety of technical and non-technical reports, including procedures and plans.

We are seeking dedicated and skilled emergency physicians to join our dynamic team. Located in the vibrant community of Henderson, this new hospital offers a modern environment with state-of-the-art facilities, just a short distance from the bustling city of Las Vegas, home of the Las Vegas Raiders!
Position- Location: Henderson, Nevada (no state tax)
- Facility: West Henderson Hospital (Opening December 2024)
- Schedule: Three 8-hour shifts per day, including nights and weekends and holidays
- Patient Load: Manage approximately 2 patients per hour
- Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients in a 36-bay Emergency Department with 8 bed fast track
- Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals using the Cerner EMR system
- Manage the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of emergency conditions
- MD or DO with board certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or eligible
- Valid Nevada medical license
- AHA ACLS or ATLS
- AHA PALS

- Provide field market intelligence such as competitive information and market or industry trends
- Develop and nurture new business opportunities, while calling on existing accounts to support operations teams in diversifying account revenues
- Provide service demonstrations “Lunch and Learns” and attend industry tradeshows
- Develop and maintain quality relationships with clients, and participate in preparation of responses to RFPs
- CRM input and management

- 8+ years’ experience in the Utility industry preferred in Business Development, Engineering, or Project Management capacities.
- Networked in the large utilities and cooperative sector in the mountain district of the US (Colorado, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, New Mexico)
- Prior experience working with utilities or engineering services firms
- Ability and desire to travel 3 to 4 times a month (50-70% Travel) as needed
- Engineering Degree
- Ability to work independently across business functions in remote office setting
- Collaborative approach to problem solving
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present in front of a diverse group of stakeholders, up to and including c-suite executives.
