The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Working in settings such as hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers, they create personalized, evidence-based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to help patients recover and become independent. This role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, critical thinking, and a commitment to high-quality, safe patient care.
Essential Work Functions:- Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment need
- Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals
- Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain
- Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration of devices
- Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimize treatment outcomes
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, proper body mechanics, injury prevention strategies, and self-management techniques to promote long-term functional recovery
- Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards while addressing patients’ comfort needs during therapy sessions
- Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in physical therapy
- Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued patient progress in community or home-based settings

-Assists in the removal of procedural sheaths from the patient after transfer to the nursing care unit or CCL Recovery Room.
-Assists in the insertion of all vascular closure devices as the access point for proper inter-vascular stability.
-Assists in inventory control by notifying appropriate individual of diminished non-store room supplies.
-Assists with maintenance, calibration and routine periodic evaluation of all diagnostic and technical equipment.
-Assists nurse and physician in supportive measures necessary to restore and/or maintain patient's well being in an emergency situation.
-Lifts a minimum of 40 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 100 lbs. and stands a minimum of 4 hours a day.

Job DescriptionThe Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of specialized technical tasks in Diagnostic Ultrasound utilizing high-frequency sound waves to assist medical personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities.
Responsibilities- Performs procedures according to departmental format, completing exams in the allotted time.
- Conducts portable ultrasound exams and complex technical tasks in Diagnostic Ultrasound.
- Assists physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures such as biopsies.
- Evaluates technical quality of images and processes them in accordance with standard procedures.
- Maintains accurate records of ultrasound exams and performs equipment maintenance.
- Provides technical assistance and instruction to students, employees, and medical residents.
- Adheres to safety and infection control protocols.
- Addresses the needs of the patient population served, communicating clearly according to their level of understanding.
- Must be R.D.M.S. registered - Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
- Graduate of an approved Ultrasound School with 2 years training in Allied Health/College.
- Knowledge of ultrasound equipment operation and emergency procedures.
- Ability to maintain CEU credits and perform CPR.
- Preferred: 1 year of clinical experience in ultrasound.
