Jefferson Wells has an immediate need for **Accounting Professionals** who are available for contract/consulting jobs in the Cleveland-Akron-Canton, Ohio area. We work with many prominent client companies, ranging from Fortune 500 to mid-size companies, who utilize our consultants for project solutions and temporary staffing opportunities. Assignments sometimes have the potential to convert to full-time positions with our clients. Opportunities include Contract/Consulting as well as "Temp-to-Perm" assignments and Direct Hire Perm jobs.
Our consultants are hired as W-2 employees, and are paid on an hourly basis though our regular weekly payroll. Health Benefits are also available.

The role, reporting to the Managing Director Tax Operations, will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of Accenture's Pillar 2 forecasting, reporting & compliance, across the globe.In this new role, the Tax Accounting Lead will partner with an existing Pillar 2 project team, to implement and operationalize a robust Pillar 2 process with tax technology at its core. This cross-functional role will partner with technical tax experts, geographic controllership, Tax Technologists and external advisors to deliver robust forecasting and reporting to Finance customers, while ensuring streamlined, timely and accurate compliance with newly enacted Pillar 2 requirements around the globe.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Global oversight of Pillar 2 tax liabilities, provisioning process and disclosures.
+ Implement an integrated global compliance process for Pillar 2 taxes, working cross-functionally and cross geographies with
+ controllership groups and an external service provider.
+ Implement and operationalize a Pillar 2 control framework.
+ Technical review of Transitional Safe Harbor and GloBE calculations.
+ Responsibility for maintaining the Constituent Entity analysis using internally developed tools and a third-party engine.
+ Coordinate with local Market Tax experts on emerging Pillar 2 issues, controversy and compliance.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance OR a graduate degree in Accounting/Tax
+ Minimum 7 years' experience with a Public Accounting firm and/or large global corporation
+ Minimum of 5 years of deep tax accounting experience with a track record of successfully managing a tax accounting or compliance function
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Qualified/Certified Public Accountant
+ Strong problem solving/analytical skills including modelling, forecasting and financial insights
+ Proven ability to manage complex calendars and deliver timely
+ A track record of collaboration, both cross-functionally and across geographies.
+ Microsoft Office 365 proficiency is required

Work You'll Do
We assist companies in recording transactions during and upon emergence from bankruptcy, which is one of the most complex and demanding accounting challenges an organization may face. As a Senior Consultant within Bankruptcy Accounting, you will (but not be limited) to:

The Team
Our Performance Improvement & Restructuring (PI&R) practice develops and leads enterprise-level Board and C-suite agendas for clients across the performance spectrum-healthy, underperforming, and distressed-to enhance margins, address financial challenges, and optimize cash flow in support of critical transformation initiatives.
The bankruptcy process and the related technical accounting requirements, determining the fair value of all the assets and liabilities of a business enterprise, and pushing the results down to every legal entity can be an enormous burden on financial, operational and systems management and their supporting teams. As part of our PI&R practice, Deloitte's Bankruptcy Accounting Team leads both large multinational organizations and mid-market companies through unique corporate restructuring challenges. Our team completes the process as quickly as possible and allows our clients' management to move forward and focus on the operations of the newly reorganized business. The Fresh Start team process necessitates two significant accounting events - recording the effects of a Plan of Reorganization and the revaluation of both assets and liabilities for debtors and non-debtors alike. These events are also typically coupled with a significant amount of merger and restructuring activity.
Qualifications
Required:
+ Minimum of three years financial audit experience/accounting advisory position with a public accounting/advisory firm supporting or a minimum of four years financial reporting and consolidations experience with a Fortune 500 organization
+ Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/Chartered Accountant (CA) or partial completion (at least one certification completed)
+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and three+ years relevant work experience; alternatively, a Master's Degree in Accounting with two+ years relevant work experience
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
+ Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred:
