Supply Chain Management activities will include materials planning; scheduling; inventory control; cash flow management; information flow and coordination and asset management. This role will have direct reports.Will work with suppliers, business unit managers, purchasing, production planners, IT and other appropriate resources to strategically plan and coordinate the flow of materials and information from customers through procurement to delivery. Matrix management responsibilities with business units and support groups for production planning, shipping, receiving and inventory functions. Provides direct leadership and management of Purchasing and Supplier Quality functions.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs technical maintenance on a variety of laboratory equipment. Lead and manage all procurement and materials management activities including order placement, supplier reduction/evaluation/certification, supplier follow-up, price negotiation and compliance with government procurement regulations. Responsible for Production Planning Department's manufacturing resource-planning activities. These activities need to help achieve sales objectives and maintain 100% on-time customer deliveries. Matrix responsibilities for personnel involved with the MRP database to achieve and maintain a high degree of data accuracy, integrity, and ownership. Accountable for location/division materials metrics and Standards of Performance. Monitors shipping/receiving performance and investigates discrepancies to resolve/eliminate process deficiencies Utilize corporate developed tracking systems such as phconnect, PFEP (plan for every part), and S& OP (sales and operations)- Accountable for location(s) materials Help define and implement automated systems to plan and track material flow from customers through procurement to delivery to support a supply chain management strategy. Ensure all the location/division's material management policies are consistent with the inventory control objectives of the Division. Facilitate corporate purchasing and materials initiatives including common part numbers, supplier managed inventory, consolidated purchasing agreements, supplier reduction and supplier quality certifications. Advise on supplier managed inventory or supplier-based contracts with customers. Support internal or external audit requirements relative to the planning, procurement or inventory control functions. Prepare and manage department budget within established guidelines. Effectively create and sustain procurement to delivery material and system cost reduction programs. Provide professional development for all materials team members. Explain and support company policies and procedures. Benchmark world class supplier management systems and implement best practices as appropriate Actively support and implement lean principles. Facilitate kanban, materials requirement planning techniques QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 10 years applicable purchasing/materials management experience in a world-class, high volume manufacturing environment. Experience in state-of-the-art materials management systems including supply chain management, cash flow and asset management, JIT, MRPII, cellular manufacturing and with APICS/CPM certification preferred. Bachelor degree (required) in business, engineering, or materials management required with certification in materials management and quality preferred. Experience in Aftermarket (Repair Station) highly desired Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts. Working knowledge of Microsoft PC software (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, databases and presentations). Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a **Staff** **Systems Engineer** for the Sentinel Aerospace vehicle team. This position is located in **Roy, UT** and supports the Sentinel program.

**What You'll Get to Do:**
The selected engineer will be a systems engineering SME and responsible for driving technical rigor into work products for the requirements, interfaces, and architecture teams for the Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Segment. The engineer will be responsible for performing tasks and providing technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers as they execute tasking involving interface definition, requirement decomposition, compliance tracking, verification planning and verification execution.
**The areas of technical guidance include but are not limited to:**
+ Own and mature the AVE Requirements Verification Plan for the Segment
+ Requirement development, decomposition, and refinement based on knowledge of the functional architecture and performance budgets
+ Ensure architecture is consistent with requirements decomposition
+ Verification planning for the AVE segment requirements. Verification planning will transition into verification execution which includes development and review of verification artifacts, requirement verification report generation, and management of the approval process
+ Development of key interface artifacts for the GBSD Missile (AVE). These artifacts include Interface Control Documents (ICD), Interface Description Documents (IDD), and Interface Requirements Specifications (IRS) Additionally, adding portions of their content into the MBSE model
+ Support to environmental requirement development and test strategy
+ Support to incremental CDR execution eventually culminating in an AVE CDR (includes execution of CDR, RvC development, readiness assessment)
+ Support to flight design review (FDR)
+ Support element system engineers in the development of element level requirements, verification plans, and CDR/IDR execution
+ Work in a collaborative environment, across all system functions. Work with teammates across a wide variety of disciplines and get intimately familiar with all aspects of the Missile
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) with 12 years of experience; or Master's degree with 10 years of experience; or PhD with 8 years of experience
+ Must be a US Citizen with an **active DoD Secret Clearance** with an investigation date within the last 6 years
+ Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
+ 5 year of Systems Engineering experience required
+ Experience in the full life cycle of Systems Engineering (requirements definition/decomposition, requirements/system verification, etc.)
+ 4+ years working in requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS)
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience modeling with Cameo Enterprise Architecture or MagicDraw (No Magic, Inc.) or other architecture modeling tools
+ 6+ years of Systems engineering experience
+ Experience with DoDAF and UPDM or UAF Profiles
+ Experience with complex system development on large programs
+ Experience with flight hardware
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
+ Technical leadership experience in the area of Systems Engineering

Salary Range: $147,700.00 - $221,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
