About the Position
Dexis is seeking Document Analysts to provide on-site document indexing and records management support the Department of Defense's (DOD) Office of the General Counsel (OGC). The Document Analysts will be embedded within OGC and be apart of a contract team providing highly effective and timely legal review and advice in support of DOD mission requirements and in coordination with other U.S. Government departments and agencies.
This full-time position is located in the Washington, D.C. area and is required to be on-site full time, subject to change if requirements shift.
This position requires a candidate to hold an active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain policy and procedures for record filing and disposal in accordance with DoD standards.
- Screen, prepare, scan and index legal review files before they are sent for storage and archiving.
- Coordinate records and comply with records management instructions, records retention/disposal guidance, and annual inspection of file plans/records.
- Address security requirements and procedures for properly handling and storing/archiving classified materials with NARA.
- Distinguish classified information from unclassified information when archiving legal files. The Document Analyst will codify and categorize documents for digital files.
- Convert legal files into electronic form. This includes document preparation, scanning, transferring scanned documents to storage media and performing final quality checks.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant document analysis/records management experience with the DOD.
- The ability to review, understand, and analyze complex legal and non-legal DoD documents.
- Understanding of security requirements and procedures for properly handling and storing/archiving classified materials.
- Familiarity with NARA storage procedures.
- Fluency with, and understanding of, DoD, Joint Staff, and the Military Departments standards of practice and records management.
- Ability to leverage established relationships with other DoD components and agencies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and common office software applications.
- Previous experience with archiving documents and chronological filing.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required together with proficient research and analytical skills.

We are currently seeking a **highly skilled** **Pashto/Dari Language Data Analysts** to join our mission-driven team. This position requires a language professional capable of performing a wide range of complex linguistic tasks with precision and cultural insight.
**What You'll Do:**
You will provide professional-level linguistic support across **translation, interpretation, transcription** , **and** **Gisting** including but not limited to:
**Translation**
+ Accurately translate materials (both digital and hard copy) **from Pashto/Dari into English and vice versa.**
+ Capture subtle nuances, cultural references, and abstract concepts with contextual accuracy.
+ Capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural references effectively.
+ Use **terminology and expression** consistent with subject matter norms in the target language.
**Interpretation**
+ Provide **consecutive interpretation** ; **simultaneous interpretation** may occasionally be required.
+ Maintain high fidelity and fluency, demonstrating understanding of regional dialects and cultural context.
**Transcription**
+ Listen to audio or review internet-based content and transcribe accurately and efficiently.
+ Produce high-quality English-language reports based on audio/visual materials.
+ Demonstrate nuanced understanding of dialectical variations.
**Gisting and Summarization**
+ Identify and summarize key facts and abstract concepts accurately.
+ Prioritize and extract critical information from large datasets.
+ Use reference materials effectively to support quality output.
**What You Bring:**
+ **No clearance required to apply** .
+ **Able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph** (must be fully adjudicated before work begins). Leidos will **sponsor candidates** after passing all the required language tests.
+ **Bachelor's degree with 8 - 12 years** of relevant experience OR **Master's degree with 6-10 years** of related experience. (Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.)
+ Translation and/or interpretation degree is highly desired
+ **3+ years** of professional and recent translation, transcription, and/or interpretation experience
+ Must successfully complete a Leidos-administered language proficiency test or equivalent at the **Senior level or higher.**
+ **US immigration** experience is highly desired
+ HLT experience a plus
+ Must successfully complete a Leidos-administered language proficiency test or equivalent at the **Senior level or higher.**
+ Proficiency in **Microsoft Office Suite** and basic online research.
+ Strong **written and verbal communication** skills in both English and target languages.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience supporting contingency operations as a deployed linguist.
+ Familiarity with the U.S. Intelligence Community, military operations, or law enforcement environments.
+ Ability to effectively brief and communicate findings to various stakeholders.
+ Proficiency in multiple languages is a strong asset.

ResponsibilitiesData Specialist Responsibilities
In this role, you will deploy to disaster sites to support FEMA or other government entities in the delivery of disaster recovery programs such as the Public Assistance (PA) program or the FEMA Individual Assistance (IA) Direct Housing program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Data mining, analysis, maintenance and manipulation
- Entering data into electronic databases and spreadsheets
- Creating and maintaining spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel
- Transitioning data between multiple systems and applications
- Training personnel on the spreadsheets and/or databases
- Preparing reports using Microsoft PowerPoint and Power BI
- Developing and maintaining electronic dashboards to present data
- Other administrative and clerical activities related to the disaster mission
- High School diploma required; A bachelor's degree in a related field of study from an accredited university is preferred
- Minimum (2) two years of full-time, demonstrated experience with work involving data analysis, mining, reporting, and predictive modeling
- Experience creating data visualization tools such as web-based dashboards and working with the various data-related coding language or software
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills
- Energetic, organized and detailed-oriented
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment under stressful conditions
- The ability to work up to 12 hours per day, 7 days a week while deployed to a disaster recovery operation for up to 12 months
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Be a U.S. citizen capable of passing a federal background investigation to obtain a Public Trust clearance

+ Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting (or equivalent work experience) and typically 10+ years of related experience, as well as some experience in a supervisory capacity.
+ EVM experience would be a plus!
**Project Control Support Staff:**
