Job SummaryThe Data Analytics Manager is responsible for leading a team to provide custom analytics for various clients of a4 media. This includes multi-screen reporting and attribution analyses, requiring data integration and querying skills to mine for insights across numerous TV & Digital data sources. The Data Analytics Manager will be expected to work closely with the Sr. Director of Analytics & Insights to lead projects and allocate resources to meet timelines for deliverables. The Data Analytics Manager will also drive innovation within the team by applying creative technical approaches to ensure quality and leading-edge reporting and analytics. This position is also client facing and the Manager will be expected to articulate often complex technical matters in a clear and concise manner as a subject matter expert. This position will act as a technical liaison for other Data Management & Product Development functions within the organization, translating feedback gathered from client exposure in order to develop new analytic product offerings. The Data Analytics Manager will also mentor and develop the skills of Analysts on the team to enhance their career development and build flexibility within the team when managing project workloads. The Data Analytics Manager will be responsible for understanding the business objectives of a4 clients, mining data and ultimately analyzing, reporting and presenting those findings with actionable insights. Qualifications- Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science/information science/ business Analytics or related field or equivalent job experience (Graduate degree in related field preferred).
- Strong SQL programming skills, data structure in relational databases, data manipulation and transformation knowledge required. Fluency with Python preferred.
- Minimum 4-6 years' experience in data analysis and database systems.
- Experience working with large datasets and cloud-based enterprise data warehouse (experience with RedShift/Google Big Query/Databricks preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of management experience, with the ability to train and lead a team.
- Exceptional data, analytics, and quantitative acumen with understanding of tools like multi-touch attribution, data management platforms, customer segmentation, and/or similar experience such as predictive analytics.
- Collaborate with Sales & Business Insights teams to define metrics, extract actionable insights and ensure timely delivery of reports and dashboards.
- Lead development & automation of scalable tools, templates, and dashboards (using BI tools like Domo, Tableau, or similar).
- Comfortable communicating with audience members across all management levels internally and externally.
- Team oriented and collaborative approach with a demonstrated aptitude and willingness to learn new methods and tools.
- Previous background in media analytics in a media agency or organization strongly preferred.

This dual-focus role will split time evenly between digital performance and CRM/customer analytics, supporting both areas with insights that drive growth. The successful candidate will be a motivated and highly analytical individual who thrives on storytelling through data—shaping strategy across e-commerce, marketing, and CRM through actionable insights, deep performance analyses, and scalable reporting systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
E-Commerce & Digital Analytics

Manage and drive the creation of daily, weekly, monthly performance reports across the e-commerce channel inclusive of site metrics, product and marketing performance, and customer behavior analyses

Translate complex data sets into strategic recommendations that optimize digital campaigns, UX, and merchandising strategies.

Consolidate and package reports and insights into well-organized, consumable presentations with actionable recommendations for senior-level stakeholders
-
Field ad hoc requests, present findings and proactively deliver recommendations that inform strategy, synthesizing large data sets into digestible and actionable takeaways
-
Proactively analyze site KPIs, identify trends and anomalies, and flag opportunities to improve performance.

Collaborate with core department members and cross functional partners, inclusive of Merchandising, Planning & Allocation, Marketing, CRM, and IT, to ensure data classification consistencies, align on anticipated analytical needs, expected outcomes, and hindsight deliverables
CRM & Customer Analytics

Develop and manage customer segmentation strategies that enhance personalization, retention, and lifetime value.

Analyze customer cohorts and behavior across acquisition, repeat, churn, and reactivation, identifying trends that inform future strategy.

Build and maintain CRM performance dashboards measuring campaign effectiveness, customer journeys, lifecycle stages, and channel attribution.
-
Serve as an internal subject matter expert on CRM data, KPIs, and customer file health—including list growth, deliverability, and engagement.
-
Define requirements and build scalable automated reports using data visualization and BI tools.
-
Act as a steward of data integrity across all platforms—ensuring consistency, accuracy, and actionable output.

Support integrations and data alignment across CRM platforms (e.g., ESP, CDP, loyalty), marketing tools, and web analytics platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., Analytics, Marketing, Statistics, Computer Science, Business)
-
4+ years of experience in digital analytics, customer analytics, or CRM reporting—ideally in a consumer brand or retail environment
-
Deep familiarity with customer lifecycle metrics (e.g., CAC, CLV, AOV, churn rate, engagement rate, open/click/conversion metrics)
-
Experience using CRM or ESP platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, or similar
-
Strong skills in data analysis and reporting tools: Google Analytics (360 & GA4), Looker Studio, PowerBI (preferred), Excel, PowerPoint
-
Proficiency in SQL is required; familiarity with Python or R is a plus
-
Comfortable working with raw data sets and large databases to build clean, insightful reports
-
Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders

Detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
SALARY & BENEFITS/WHAT WE OFFER:
The compensation for this position ranges from $95,000- $110,00 (annually). The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience. You'll focus on aligning client data strategies to their business strategy. You will assist clients in choosing a platform, defining their data needs and migrating them to a modern cloud data environment using cloud providers such as Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Snowflake, Databricks or Teradata.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills :
Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or success in one or more of the following areas:

Possessing understanding and experience with modern cloud data architectures and engineering for one or more of the following cloud providers - AWS, Azure, GCP;
-
Being highly organized; Proven track record of implementing cloud data architecture and data integration patterns (AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Event Hub, Databricks, etc.), storage and processing (Redshift, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, Snowflake); Infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform);
-
Possessing extensive knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts (normalization, OLAP, OLTP, Vault data model, graphs, star & snowflake schemas);
-
Possessing work experience in Big data engineering (Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Kafka) and ETL/ELT pipeline development (tools: IICS/AWS Glue/SAP BODS/Matillion/DBT/Abinitio/SSIS/SnapLogic); preferable in P&C Insurance data warehouse;
-
Possessing proven knowledge in SQL, report generation using visualization tools such as Tableau/Power BI/Cognos, programming using Python/Spark;
-
Improving advanced analytics solutions, AI/ML models, and operationalizing based on ML Ops process;
-
Having end-to-end knowledge of implementing enterprise data solutions such as Master Data Management, Data Governance and Enterprise Data Warehouse;
-
Architecting and driving delivery of high availability, scalable, process and storage intensive solutions architectures to data integration/migration, analytics and insights, AI and ML;
-
Understanding and familiarity of one or more is a big plus - CI/CD, cloud devops, containers (Kubernetes/Docker, etc.); and,
-
Possessing P&C Insurance industry experience, including proven understanding of insurance data, underlying KPIs and how they are used.
Demonstrates extensive abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in the following areas:

Demonstrating prior Big 4 or proven consulting experience in strategy through execution projects;

Managing and streamlining data warehouse team and lead in creation of cloud data warehouse plans, roadmap, success metrics, and assessment of client's enterprise (on-premise and on-cloud) data systems;

Working closely with business stakeholders to capture and document business; objectives/requirements, ability to translate business and technology objectives to next generation cloud, digital and technology solution architectures;
-
Coordinating and providing guidance to technology teams and architects to define and develop technology solutions;
-
Demonstrating critical thinking and problem-solving methods and skills;
-
Supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust;
-
Seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation;
-
Coaching staff including timely meaningful written and verbal feedback;
-
Building, maintaining and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement;
-
Using appropriate facilitation techniques to gain agreement or move others to action;
-
Managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections; and,
-
Preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.

The salary range for this position is: $99,000 - $232,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
