**Summary**
The main purpose of this role is to take the lead on Storage specialized engineering support for Construction and execution of our utility scale storage projects which includes engagement with suppliers and contractors, understanding offtake requirements, scope of works for energy storage projects, collaborations with the regional construction procurement, project engineering, quality, HSE, grid code compliance, power marketing, business development, permitting organizations, as well as structed finance and technical teams in support of Lightsource bp's objectives.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- To develop and manage energy storage + PV solutions, including technical due diligence in coordination with the full team
- To maintain close and regular contacts with battery suppliers and system integrators to understand the latest technology offerings, pricing, warranties, degradation, and other technical and commercial details
- To interface with construction and project managers representatives to evaluate customer needs under current and anticipated site conditions
- Regular site visits and support construction team on construction monitoring of on-going storage projects in construction
- Overseeing Owners engineer selections, requirements, and their support on construction monitoring and RFI responses from the field as required.
- To provide preliminary storage-integrated PV designs, including technical specifications for EPC RFP documents including but not limited to 10% to 30% design packages.
- To review any EPC-provided BESS designs to ensure the proposed systems are in line with each project's needs and requirements as well as financial expectations
- To provide a technical and commercial interface with Independent Engineers, Owner's engineers including 3rd party reports as they relate to BESS projects
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team including business development and project finance to ensure quality financial modelling inputs and techno-economic analysis regarding project timeline, schedule, and budget.
- Work with environmental, development and permitting teams to ensure we comply with applicable codes and standards, especially but not limited to fire mitigation requirements.
**Knowledge & Experience**
- Proven track record and 3+ years experience in a similar role

**Purpose**

+ Receive broad guidance relating to overall key objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters and general parameters for execution. **What You'll do**
The Senior Manager, Tenders lead tendering activity, bid review and normalization, comparison, and development of award recommendations for EPC contracts and, in some cases, O&M service contracts. The Senior Manager will work within the Preconstruction and Tenders group of the EPC Department, and will work closely with Project Management and Engineering teams. The position requires a high-energy professional with strong contract negotiation experience and the ability to think and act strategically in pursuit of goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in marketing of project pipeline to EPC contractors
- Drive relationship management with key EPC vendors, including coordinating regular touch point meetings at conferences and other settings
- Prepare, distribute, and manage RFP packages for EPC services
- Ensure that appropriate diligence is completed on the potential supplier base through company pre-qualification procedures.
- Interview and evaluate bidders, and work with all project stakeholders to reach award recommendations
- Negotiate and execute LNTP Agreements, EPC Agreements, and other consulting and services contracts, including all supporting exhibits, as required
- Ensure that contracts comply with technical and commercial requirements
