This position is a part-time, event based role.
**Summary:** Performs cashiering duties, including ringing and processing sales transactions, verifying payment. May also perform general food service work. Maintains sanitation standards in the preparation, service and dining room facilities.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Performs sales transactions in a timely fashion.
+ Enters all sales into the point-of-sale system to ensure purchases are accurately recorded.
+ Accepts declining balance cards and other acceptable forms of payment; issues receipts to customers.
+ Follows standard procedures for issuing cash refunds.
+ Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
+ Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts ensuring that cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards.
+ Replenishes condiments, coffee, other beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas.
+ Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
+ Ensures compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

They proactively seek product/project knowledge to provide customers with information and identify selling opportunities. They follow all policies and procedures to ensure that shrink is minimized. A Head Cashier will position Cashiers and support them by expediting price checks, approving Point of Sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. They provide first level escalation for customer issues and assist in the supervision, coaching and training of other Front End Associates by participating in the training of new Cashiers and utilizing all available tools to coach and develop other Cashiers. The preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is 1+ years of Cashier experience.
