Functional Responsibilities:
IT Strategy and Planning:
- Execute a comprehensive IT strategic plan that aligns with the collegewide strategic plan.
- Evaluate and prioritize technology investments, ensuring alignment with the organization's short-term and long-term goals.
- Work with departmental staff, the campus community, and the senior administrative team to plan and implement information technology systems that provide superior support for academic functions and administrative desktop computing, making efficient use of financial and personnel resources.
Leadership and Management:
- Provide strong leadership and management to the IT department, ensuring effective collaboration, communication, and coordination among IT staff and other departments.
- Foster a culture of customer service, innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the IT organization.
- Set and manage priorities for the IT division.
- Supervise recruitment, retention, organization, and professional development of all IT staff in accordance with budgetary objectives and personnel policies.
IT Governance and Compliance:
- Establish and enforce IT governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the security, integrity, and availability of information.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
- Assemble and prepare all reports and research as required by local, state, and national agencies for this division.
IT Infrastructure and Operations:
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure.
- Act as liaison with vendors and managed services providers.
- Plan, implement, and support systems in a complex education environment.
- Provide technical direction and leadership to ensure infrastructure and applications are reliable, available, secure, and up to date for the college’s academic and administrative use.
- Oversee and provide leadership in the development of training related to IT hardware, software, and educational technologies.
Digital Transformation:
- Drive digital transformation initiatives by identifying and leveraging emerging technologies that can enhance business processes, improve customer experience, and promote innovation and modernization across all college departments.
- Evaluate, implement, and manage software applications and technology solutions to optimize operational efficiency.
Vendor and Budget Management:
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure the delivery of high-quality services and solutions.
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial goals.
- Consolidate vendors and remove duplicate technology solutions in alignment with the IT Strategy
- Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate IT-related risks, including cybersecurity threats, data breaches, and system failures.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the organization's ability to respond to and recover from IT disruptions.
- Stay abreast of technological advancements, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Participate in professional networks and attend industry events to expand knowledge and stay informed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of College Operations.
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Personal Qualifications:
- Exceptional customer service and leadership skills.

Required Experience:
- 5 years of experience providing direct customer service in an IT-related industry.

Required Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology discipline or related field is required. Master's Degree preferred.
- College Teaching or IT Training experience highly desired. IT Support experience desired.

- Edison State employees receive 3 weeks of sick leave each year which begins accruing on the employees first pay period.
Holiday Pay
- At the start of their employment employees are eligible to receive pay for the 11 holidays for which the campus is closed.
Tuition Waiver
- Edison State employees receive 100% of their instructional fees waived for any Edison State courses they take.
- Dependents (spouse or children) of full time Edison State employees receive the same 100% waiver for Edison State course instructional fees and dependents of part time employees receive a partial waiver.
Tuition Reimbursement
- Edison State offers partial tuition reimbursement for continued education.
Health Club Contribution
- Edison State will pay a portion of an employee's yearly premiums for a health club membership. Memberships to some local YMCA organizations can be payroll deducted.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead and execute an IT roadmap aligned to business objectives, operational priorities, and growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the transformation of the IT function to support anatomic and clinical pathology operations in a federated structure.

Manage IT risks, including cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and compliance.
Oversee the IT budget and vendor relationships, and lead the selection and implementation of enterprise systems.
Stay informed on emerging technologies that can enhance operational and competitive advantages.
Required Skills and Experience:
Proven IT leadership experience in healthcare, preferably within clinical or anatomic pathology settings.
Demonstrated success in driving operational efficiency through technology in complex, multi-location environments.
Strong collaborative, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
Deep understanding of software development, systems integration, and data management, especially in international contexts.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field required.
Masters degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, including prior CIO or equivalent roles.

Job Summary
We are seeking a business-driven Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead our IT strategy and execution across Oldcastle APG. As we approach the final stages of our Infor M3 ERP implementation, the CIO will lead the shift to leverage the system to support continued growth and optimize operations, As a key member of the Senior Leadership team reporting to the President of Oldcastle APG, the CIO will ensure that IT delivers measurable value across the organizationdriving efficiency, supporting the manufacturing and commercial agenda while maintaining a secure, scalable, and resilient technology environment. The current IT team consists of ~120 team members with the majority working at the corporate office in Atlanta. Oldcastle APG has an annual revenue of $4.6 billion with over 200 manufacturing and distribution locations in the US and Canada.

Job Responsibilities
Lead and execute an IT roadmap aligned to business objectives, operational priorities, and growth initiatives.
Act as a strategic partner to executive leadership, identifying opportunities where technology can drive business outcomes.
Maximize value from the cloud-based ERP and enterprise platforms through process mining and automation (RPA).
Ensure enterprise systems remain stable, secure, and cost-effective.
Enable seamless integration of acquired businesses.
Drive IT due diligence, integration planning, and execution for acquisitionsbalancing speed, scalability, and risk.
Standardize processes and technologies across acquired businesses, as appropriate.
Partner with CRH Cyber assurance teams, to oversee cybersecurity programs, compliance, and risk management to safeguard company assets and data.
Advance reporting and analytics capabilities to support faster, more informed decision-making across the business.
Grow and retain a high-performing IT team with strong execution, and a service-oriented mindset.
Foster collaboration across business units and departments including IT.
Manage and budget appropriate IT investments to balance cost discipline with strategic innovation.
Cultivate strong partnerships with technology vendors and service providers.
Travel ~30%.
Job Requirements
15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior executive role.
Experience leading enterprise IT functions across North American, multi-site business.
Strong background in ERP systems, M&A integration, and infrastructure modernization.
Proven ability to translate business needs into technology strategy and outcomes.
Proven track record of coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams to drive innovation and achieve business objectives.
Infor M3 ERP experience is a plus.
Bachelors degree required; advanced degree preferred.
