The Customer Service Representative (CSR) represents Smurfit Westrock to the supplier/customer and acts as a critical liaison between the internal buyer and operations teams. The CSR receives and processes routine supplier pick up requests, inquiries, and/or customer issues related to orders. The CSR maintains the ongoing relationship with multiple suppliers, utilizing knowledge of products, logistics, production planning, and inventory management.
Hours:
Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm. Overtime minimal (on site)
Major Job Responsibilities:
* Assist operations team by producing a weekly shipment list for all outbound loads.
* Update suppliers & customers on order status
* Work closely with Dispatcher & Drivers to coordinate inbound and outbound material and transportation.
* Ensure timely and efficient movement of materials.
* Attend weekly operations meeting to report on inventory movement schedule.
* Provide pricing, inventory availability and production schedule information to customers.
* Track internal fleet activity and alert appropriate staff of any potential delivery/pick-up disruptions.
* Record, organize, and process orders and/or inquiries received by telephone, email.
* Serve as a connection between customers and sales staff to ensure responsiveness and customer satisfaction.
* Partner with Transportation Manager and Buyer to resolve routine supplier/customer delivery issues.
* Serve as back-up to scale operator including data entry of all inbound/outbound loads.
Experience:
* Required: 3+ years of customer service-related work experience in a manufacturing environment or other industries
* Preferred: 3 to 5 years of manufacturing industry experience
Technical Skills:
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Education:
* Required: High School diploma or G.E.D

Job Description
**Responsibilities**
**Expectations:**
+ Receives and responds in a timely and professional manner to all billing-related questions posed by clinic staff; serves as liaison with various Revenue Cycle teams and other departments to respond to, or initiate response to, clinic questions.
+ Identifies and researches unusual, complex or escalated issues as assigned; applies problem-solving and critical thinking skills as necessary to resolve issues within the scope of position authority.
+ Documents all activities and findings in accordance with established policies and procedures; ensures the integrity of all account documentation and written responses to clinic issues; maintains confidentiality of medical records.
+ Maintains current knowledge of internal, payer, and government regulations as applicable to assigned function.
+ Establishes and maintains professional and effective relationships with peers and other stakeholders.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent
+ Knowledge of general concepts and practices that relate to the healthcare field, insurance follow-up process, clinic operations, regulatory/reporting requirements, operation medical insurance, payer contract, and basic medical terminology and abbreviations
+ Excellent customer service, attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to maintain confidentially of medical records, troubleshooting
+ Ability to understand and apply detailed billing requirements and cash posting processes and effectively prioritize
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Two years of revenue cycle or related work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge and abilities.
+ Graduation from a post-high school program in medical billing or other business-related field
