The Business Intelligence ETL Engineer reviews, develops robust Business Intelligence and data warehouse solutions using appropriate BI technologies. The ETL Engineer demonstrates strong communications skills, aptitude for working with the business, and propensity to lean new technology. Participates in requirements gathering and research, proposes technology solutions, and develops solutions within agreed upon timelines. analyzes, and modifies programming systems including coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs for new or existing systems in accordance with project plans and specifications.
The ETL Engineer is responsible for delivering quality customer service, as well as, incorporating and adhering to requirements defined by company's technology standards. The ETL Engineer is responsible for providing accurate and timely completion of technical development and support tasks in accordance with Information Systems standards and methodologies.
Your day-to-day Development role will:
- Perform data integration activities and tasks utilizing Microsoft Integration Services that directly support the enterprise Business Intelligence environment.
- Be responsible for creating software code that will extract data from source systems, transform it as necessary and load it into data warehouses and/or into data marts required during the development, quality assurance and transition to production phases
- Create detail design specifications based on architecture and design specifications
- Perform complex systems analysis and programming tasks that require advanced techniques in the forefront of technology.
- Develop data integration software using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
- Conduct unit tests in a personal schema to ensure that the code meets specification
We can get you an interview, If You Have:
- 10+ years of Information Technology experience
- 7+ years overall Business Intelligence experience; with an enterprise ETL platform
- 7+ years of ETL programming experience utilizing Microsoft Integration Services (SSIS)>
- Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, STAR schema design, Snow fake schema design, slowly changing dimensions, confirmed dimensions, etc.
- Has participated in the overall design and implementation of at least 1 significant data warehouse/business intelligence project
- Bachelor's Degree (preferably in MIS or Computer Science)
