This role requires a deep understanding of database internals, performance tuning, security, and administration, combined with strong expertise in AI agent development, machine learning, and natural language processing. The specialist will build agents that perform proactive monitoring, automated problem resolution, performance optimization, and intelligent insights for our diverse database environments.
**Responsibilities:**
+ **AI Agent Design & Development:** Lead the design, development, and implementation of AI agents engineered to automate and optimize database management tasks across various database platforms (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server, Hadoop, Caching technologies).

+ **Security & Compliance Agents:** Build agents to enforce database security policies, monitor for unauthorized access attempts, identify vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
+ **Natural Language Database Operations:** Implement natural language interfaces (using NLU/NLG) within agents to allow DBAs and developers to interact with and query database status, historical performance, and receive recommendations using plain language.
+ **Data Lifecycle Management Automation:** Develop agents to automate data archival, purging, backup, and recovery processes based on policies and learned patterns.

Minimum Education and Work Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in industry name required.

Microsoft Certification: Data Analyst Associate.

MCSA: BI Reporting.

Microsoft Certification: Azure Data Engineer Associate.

10 years of related work experience.
-
7 years of experience in Microsoft SSAS, AAS and data warehouse design for Business Intelligence.

5 years of experience with data analytics and various report development software.
-
5 years of experience in Power BI including M Query and DAX development.

Experience working with ETL tools such as Azure Databricks.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-
Expert in Power BI, inclusive of the Vertipaq storage engine (compression/segmentation), performance measurement and monitoring, analyzing query plans, advanced optimization of large models.

An advanced understanding of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) foundations and best practices as it relates to optimizing data and reporting.

Advanced proficiency in AAS (or SSAS) tabular models, inclusive of loading data, relationships, and modeling, analyzing query plans, security, processing, and partitioning.

A solid foundation in Azure Databricks including navigation within workspaces, querying notebooks, usage of gateways and DSNs.

Good problem solving and debugging skills.
