The starting pay for this role is $18/hour. This position is based on site at our Linden, NJ. FreshRealm is looking for an Inventory Control Associate to accurately account for all inventory related to the production.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Complete multiple daily inventory cycle counts
+ Ensure FIFO rotation throughout the facility
+ Manage the requisition of product from storage to production; record all inventory changes and input inventory data into the warehouse management system
+ Confirm product quality and quantity immediately after receiving processes have been completed

**Skills and Requirements**

**Experience / Education**

If so, we're looking for a Team Lead in our Fulfillment Center to indirectly oversee a team of 10+ full-time Associates to drive efficient operations in the shipping and receiving departments. You'll be responsible for overseeing the activities of employees engaged in material handling, shipping, storage and transportation.

+ Assists in the training of new hires and/or temporary Associates
+ Motivates, engages and shows respect to associates on a daily basis; build team morale to drive productivity and quality standards; challenges the team to not only achieve but exceed daily performance goals
+ Ensure compliance of SOP; escalates discrepancies or performance concerns to Leadership when necessary
+ Ensures their department is operating at maximum efficiency by adhering to start times and receiving and returning from breaks in a timely manner
+ Owns the safety of the team, by modeling safe behaviors and ensuring that all Associates are in a safe working environment 100% of the time
+ Operates the team as a business by owning the team's quality, GMP and uniform standards, ensures that we send out a quality product to our customers
+ Ensuring shipping/receiving area is organized and clean at all times and meets all compliance factors.
+ Assists Leadership with development of the team and assist with training of critical roles
+ Tracks and escalates patterns and behaviors around timekeeping, GMP compliance, Quality and Performance to Supervisor/Leadership
+ Models Blue Apron values and leadership competencies at all times to support the building leaders and to provide an example to their associates.
+ Coaches employees to follow policies and procedures and maintain high standards of safety and food safety and provides information to the Operations Manager who is responsible for the delivery of corrective actions.
+ Focus on operating their area of the facility as if it was their own business, utilizing their resources to the fullest extent
+ Completes tasks as directed by with minimum supervision.
NECESSARY INGREDIENTS
+ 1-2 years of entry-level managerial leadership experience in a food production, shipping and receiving environment or warehouse environment or demonstrated skills and experience at Blue Apron.
+ Work experience in food production or food manufacturing preferred
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and knowledge with WMS desired
+ Clear and concise communicator, verbal and written
+ Must be well-organized and have an entrepreneurial spirit
+ Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment while remaining organized
+ Must be eligible to work in the US
+ Must be able to work weekends, overtime and holidays as required
+ Must be able to bend and lift up to 49 pounds repetitively with or without accommodation
+ Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time with or without accommodation
+ Exposure to temperatures that range from freezing to sub-freezing (coolers, freezers, etc.) with or without accommodation

Join our team as an Inventory Control Lead and take charge of guiding and mentoring a skilled team dedicated to cycle counting, claims processing, and related account administration. You'll be the go-to subject matter expert for resolving both systematic and physical inventory discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across our operations.
This is a first-shift role, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, offering steady hours and work-life balance.
**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Plan, assign and direct the work of inventory control team
+ Check that the tracking of inventory, purchasing, shipping and other records are accurate
+ Share concerns and send to designated facility leadership
+ Manage escalated customer claims and/or assign escalated issues to the Inventory Control Technician Senior
+ Handle product, shipping and receiving audits
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)**
+ 2 years Inventory and/or Warehouse Operation experience
+ Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to deliver technical information to a non-technical audience
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
+ Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
+ Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear
+ Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility
+ Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed

We are currently seeking an Inventory Control Intern who will report to the Inventory Control Manager as part of our dynamic team in New Jersey. This position will cover stock movements across all locations in the Americas region.

MISSION

  • Assist the Inventory Control Manager in overseeing stock activities across all channels, ensuring adherence to internal compliance standards to achieve the highest level of inventory accuracy within the network.
  • Provide support for all types of inventory movements across retail and wholesale warehouses, including but not limited to stock adjustments, intercompany and intracompany transfers, returns, discrepancy resolution, purchase orders, receipts, and consolidations.
  • Run weekly reports on inventory metrics to monitor performance.
  • Assist in generating KPI reports to analyze and track stock levels, ensuring transparency and visibility.
  • Monitor and investigate negative stock on hands, intracompany in transit, and consignments.
  • Support month-end inventory closing processes, in-transit reconciliations, and the preparation of sales and margin reports for all regions.
  • Coordinate the execution of price events and adjustments across all channels, including data entry, securing necessary approvals, and finalizing releases.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Retail teams to plan, analyze, and record physical inventory results.
  • Assist with employee sales and store openings.
  • Foster strong partnerships and collaboration with all stakeholders, including Finance, Operations, Retail, and Merchandising teams.
  • Support with inventory related annual audit inquiries.

  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Excellent organizational, time management, financial, and analytical skills
  • Requires a keen attention to detail, along with strong mathematical and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively to department teams across the organization, cross-functional partners and Leadership Team
