Job Description
Support Staff/Educational Technician
Date Posted:
7/22/2025
Location:
Warren Community School
We are seeking TWO energetic, compassionate, and highly organized educators to support our STEP Program, which serves students in grades K-6 who are reluctant learners and may struggle socially. This is not a behavior-focused program; rather, it is designed to provide a supportive, inclusive, and community-centered environment where students can build confidence and develop the skills needed to successfully participate in mainstream classes.
The STEP Ed Techs will collaborate closely with the STEP teacher and other ed techs in the room to deliver individualized instruction and small-group learning experiences tailored to meet each student's unique needs. Students in the program transition to mainstream classrooms with support when they are ready, while continuing to benefit from the nurturing environment of the STEP room as needed.
A core part of this role includes building and sustaining a strong classroom community where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered to learn.
Ideal candidates will:
- Have experience working with students who require additional academic and social support.
- Value community building and relationship-driven education.
- Be committed to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.
If you are passionate about supporting students who learn differently and thrive on teamwork, we encourage you to apply!
