Working with the Training Coordinator and RESTORE Managers, the Advocate & Education Specialist provides sexual assault education and programming in Monroe County as well as through the entire RESTORE region including Genesee, Livingston, Orleans and Wyoming Counties.
Essential Functions

Designs and delivers education and outreach programs to community members and K-12 school districts, increasing awareness of sexual violence

Provides education and outreach to community members and partner agencies via tabling and community events; interacts effectively with community members and partner agencies around sensitive topics

Develops strategic relationships with educational institutions, community stakeholders, community agencies and faith-based organizations
-
Promotes training opportunities and distributes prevention materials to the community and community stakeholders
-
Ensures all agency programming and curricula is current and functioning as measured by monthly reports and grants

Responsible for data collection and inputting program data into necessary databases for reporting and grant purposes

Attends community meetings

Stays current on prevention education strategies to continually improve and enhance program offerings

Identifies desired program outcomes, develops outcome measurement tools and collects data for program analysis

Participates in internal meetings with education staff and all team members

Participates in planning and facilitating of volunteer advocate trainings

Represents PPCWNY in a professional manner within appropriate forums, coalitions, etc., and uses those opportunities to increase participation in PPCWNY programs and to further agency goals

Must participate in on-call shifts at a minimum of two shifts per month including one-week night and one weekend 24-hour shift on a rotating basis with all staff, including holidays; providing coverage to all counties RESTORE serves including: Monroe, Genesee, Livingston, Orleans, and Wyoming

**Responsibilities:**
GENERAL SUMMARY
Acts as point person for the training of residents and medical students in grossing of surgical pathology specimens. Works with the Pathologist in charge of resident education and the chief residents. Performs the duties of a pathologist's assistant as needed.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
+ Performs pathologist's assistant duties in surgical pathology.
+ Acts as the point person for gross room-related activities.
+ Answers questions or concerns from the pathology residents.
+ Collaborates with area leadership and Residents to address issues and implement solutions that improve and maintain communication with Pathologists' Assistants.
+ Works collaboratively with peers to enhance the pathology residency training program, including designing the training schedule, strategizing program content, and developing training expectations.
+ Provides grossing coverage to affiliate hospitals on a rotational basis.
+ Provides coverage to the autopsy area on a rotational basis.
+ Works with faculty and resident leadership to support the institution's educational mission. Attends meetings, as required, to manage and maintain the gross room participation in resident education.
+ Administers biweekly evaluations of pathology residents.
+ Attends and contributes to yearly Clinical Competency Committee (CCC) meetings.

**MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
+ A degree from an accredited Pathologists Assistant program and previous experience in a lead role required

The Warner School of Education and Human Development at the University of Rochester seeks a visionary, strategic leader committed to a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to serve as the next **William and Sheila Konar Director of the Center for Urban Education Success** (CUES ( ). The Director is also a full-time, tenure-eligible Associate or Full Professor in the Warner School. Founded in 2016, CUES is a nationally respected center dedicated to advancing the success of K-12 urban schools through a combination of clinical and academic research, community partnerships, and the pursuit and dissemination of best practices for meaningful, lasting change. CUES plays a crucial role in researching, identifying, and addressing systemic challenges, improving school culture and practices, and driving broader systemic progress both regionally and nationally.
The next Director will develop a vision and execute a plan for CUES that is in alignment with the strategic priorities ( of the Warner School.
