The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
+ Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred

SCOPE OF INTERN WORK :

The International Rescue Committee (IRC), works in the United States welcomes newly arrived refugees and immigrants, supports them in their resettlement, and provides holistic services to help them build new lives in their communities.

The Adult Education Data Intern will acquire hands-on experience in collecting both qualitative and quantitative data. Responsibilities include managing and analyzing the collected data, as well as performing data entry tasks using IRC’s internal client case management system, Efforts to Outcome (ETO), and the New Jersey Office of Refugee (NJOR)’s case management system, Client Track (CT). Additionally, the intern will assist in developing operational workflows and utilizing Power Automate to enhance data collection efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Participate in ETO and CT training to learn how to use the platform efficiently.

  • Record English Language Training (ELT) Program related case notes, including attendance records, assessment records, and other case management case notes on ETO.

  • Record ELT project enrollment note on ETO and CT.

  • Record case notes for other education programs under Adult Education Department.

  • Perform data entries, file, and assemble information for comprehensive reports in the internal databases (ETO), Client Track (CT) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Create, collect and analyze course feedback surveys.

  • Assist in creating semi-annual and annual reports in Microsoft Excel.

  • Verify and correct data discrepancies or errors to ensure data quality.

  • Utilize Power Automate to build new workflows for the Adult Education Department.

· Use PowerBI for data analysis to increase program quality and impact.

  • Organize and maintain files and records.

  • Support other assigned tasks for the adult education department.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES :

  1. The intern will gain proficiency in using various funder-mandated databases to collect and evaluate data related to the resettlement outcomes of IRC clients, with a particular focus on Education.
  2. The intern will gain firsthand experience in the development of systems to maximize operational effectiveness.
  3. The intern will learn organizational communication and time management skills.

REQUIREMENTS :

· Volunteers must be based in the U.S. Interns must be based in US, must be a US citizen or have US work authorization, must be enrolled in post-secondary institution or have graduated from a post-secondary institution within last 2 years.

· Graduate or undergraduate students who are passionate about data management, or hold degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems or related field.

· Experience (or a willingness to learn) Microsoft systems including: Power Automate and PowerBi.

· Experience in using Box and Microsoft Apps such as Excel is strongly preferred.

· Must convey confidence, have effective communication skills, and exhibit excellent attention to detail.

Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School
As one of the nation's comprehensive medical schools, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) is dedicated to pursuing excellence in education, research, healthcare delivery, and the promotion of community health. Rutgers Cancer Institute is home to nearly 250 internationally recognized physicians and researchers. The long-standing relationship with their NCI Research Consortium Partner Princeton University was recently leveraged to establish the Ludwig Cancer Research Princeton Branch with several faculty as founding members and leaders of the Branch. Their work on cancer metabolism, not only through the new Ludwig Branch but also through the Duncan and Nancy MacMillan Cancer Immunology and Metabolism Center of Excellence at Rutgers Cancer Institute, will accelerate and translate laboratory discoveries into clinical treatments through more effective and efficiently designed clinical trials.

**POSITION DETAILS**
Medgar Evers College (MEC), a nationally recognized leader in urban-serving education, is one of twenty-five colleges within the dynamic City University New York (CUNY) System. Named for the late civil rights leader, Medgar Wiley Evers (1925-1963), the College's mission is to develop and maintain high quality, professional, career-oriented undergraduate degree programs in the context of liberal education.Located in Central Brooklyn, MEC was established in 1970 with a mandate to meet the educational and social needs of the Central Brooklyn community. As Dean for School of Education, the Dean is responsible for communicating the vision and goals of the School to the college community and professional constituencies and seeking public and private funds to support the goals of the School. In addition, the Dean is responsible for the academic, personnel, financial, and administrative affairs of the School. The Dean is the person responsible for spearheading the preparation and revision of academic program plans for the School, promoting and serving as a model for teaching achievement and professional service. The Dean develops strategies to achieve educational goals and objectives. The incumbent initiates academic integrity and quality education in the School by articulating College and University policies and procedures to members of the School.
The Dean sets and establishes academic goals for the departments and units within the School to achieve and maintain high standards in academics, teaching and support services processes. The Dean helps to provide training to the teaching and administrative staff so it can maintain teaching excellence, conduct research on new trends in academic initiatives, and deliver appropriate resources and services to faculty, staff and students. The Dean is responsible for maintaining effective communication between students and faculty within the School, and with other academic personnel across the College and University. The Dean acts as a liaison between the students and the administration and between the faculty and the administration. The Dean is responsible for hiring faculty members, evaluating administrators and staff, fundraising, budgeting, and setting academic rules and policies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Coordinating the development of and implementation of the School's Vision and Goals;
+ Leading departmental efforts toward achieving goals;
+ Developing budgets and managing the fiscal affairs of the School;
+ Leading and coordinating strategic planning, program and curriculum development;
+ Supervising, evaluating, and supporting Departments and Units in a manner that promotes excellence in instruction, scholarly and creative productivity, and service at Medgar Evers College, and the University;
+ Stimulating the rapid growth of the School;
+ Leading and coordinating the governance of the School;

**QUALIFICATIONS**
This position is in CUNY's Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience. Additional qualifications are defined below by the College.
+ Prior leadership experience in a higher education program with recent active involvement in accreditation or re-accreditation
+ Experience with curriculum planning of teacher preparation and clinical components in a School of Education
+ Demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, scholarship, professional service, and a record of external funding

The Division of Education in the Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is looking to appoint an exemplary educator with clinical expertise to join our internal medicine residency leadership team as an Associate Program Director (APD). The APD role is required to have significant engagement with resident teaching and supervision in the clinical setting. The role requires eligible candidates to:

* Serve as the attending of record for internal medicine hospitalized patients on resident teaching teams. * Serve as the overall Elective Director for the residency in collaboration with site directors. * Deliver longitudinal board review on a selected topic. * Engage in key residency activities including, but not limited to, service on the clinical competency and GME committees, curriculum development, recruitment, conferences, retreats, mentoring and coaching.
