Position Title: Youth Education & Enrichment Specialist

Program Name: AmeriCorps Youth Education & Enrichment at Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township

Term of Service: Complete 675 hours as a Reduced Half-Time Member between September 1st, 2024 - August 31st, 2025

Job Summary: The Youth Education and Enrichment Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing educational and enrichment programs that promote academic success, good character & citizenship, and healthy lifestyles among club members. This role focuses on creating engaging and supportive learning environments that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, plan, and lead educational and enrichment programs and experiences that align with the mission and goals of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Dundee Township.

Facilitate group activities, homework help sessions, and project-based learning experiences that promote academic skills and personal development.

Implement strategies to improve academic engagement for youth ages 7-18, focusing on factors such as school and Club attendance, school engagement, and expectations of academic success.

Plan and facilitate high-yield learning activities (HYLA) that are engaging, hands-on, and aligned with academic standards.

Track and monitor Club attendance, and provide interventions to improve attendance rates.

Build positive relationships with youth members, creating a supportive and inclusive environment for learning and growth.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States

Successful completion of a background check, fingerprinting and drug screening.

Passion for working with youth

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings

Time Requirement:

Complete 675 hours during the time of service

Participate in mandatory days of service

Complete hours during direct service hours at designated site (i.e. after-school hours, no school days (if applicable), special events, family engagement activities, etc.)

• Serves as the clinical expert in key healthcare domains, including infection control, wound care, surgical procedures, vascular access, LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device), Durable Medical Equipment (DME), Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), and related product categories.
• Provides expert clinical support for field sales teams to help achieve strategic business objectives and drive revenue growth.
• Leads the planning and execution of product evaluations, customer training sessions, and implementation initiatives for both internal stakeholders and external healthcare professionals.
• Delivers professional education programs, often acting as lead presenter or content contributor.

• Serves as the clinical education expert for internal and external stakeholders, delivering product training, education programs, and clinical services across Bravida's medical product portfolio.
• Leads field-based product evaluations, implementations, and maintenance activities, including account setup and tailored training plans that directly support sales success.
• Provides field training to sales associates, 1099 representatives, and per diem clinical staff, ensuring clinical competence, brand consistency, and measurable ROI from training investments.
• Drives the execution of Bravida Academy offerings, taking lead roles in multiple education programs with significant influence on customer success and learning outcomes.
• Conducts customer needs assessments to support field complaints; analyzes data to identify trends, ensures process regulatory compliance, and partners with sales teams to develop solutions and resolve issues.
• Delivers ongoing training to all internal teams and customers, supporting clinical skill development, product utilization, and customer feedback integration across functions.
• Develops strong KOL (Key Opinion Leader) relationships via field engagement, supporting recruitment, relationship management, and special projects.
• Represents Bravida at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, maintaining active membership in professional organizations and strengthening brand presence.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of clinical practice guidelines, testing standards, FDA and other regulatory requirements, market trends, and competitor activity.
• Participates in new product development (NPD) activities and R&D feedback loops, contributing to product design and training for product launches through clinical insight.
• Supports clinical research and trials, adhering to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards and participating from study initiation through completion.

• Supports delivery of education via digital platforms (e.g., On24, eLearning, website tools), staying current with modern training technology.

• Maintains full compliance with Bravida policies, procedures, Code of Conduct, and the organization's mission and values.

• 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience in one or more of the following areas: Operating Room, Wound Care, Infection Control, Vascular Access, and/or Critical Care.
• 1-2 years of experience in a nursing educator/preceptor role, with a focus on training and development.
• 1-2 years of experience in the medical device industry, including direct customer-facing responsibilities and delivery of educational programs.

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Business Administration (MBA) preferred.

• Registered Nurse (RN), licensed and in good standing, required.
• Accredited Nursing Certifications (e.g., Wound Care Certification (WCC), Perioperative Nurse (CNOR), Infection Control (CIC), Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)) preferred.

• Strong clinical competencies in areas such as Operating Room, Wound Care, Infection Control, Vascular Access, and Critical Care.

Job Description:

Job Summary:

Engages in post-graduate pharmacy activities under direct supervision of licensed pharmacist to fulfill the State Board of Pharmacy requirements. Provides pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding the effective usage of medications, awareness with drug interactions and offering preventive healthcare services such as immunizations. Responsible for ensuring the proper compounding, dispensation, review and verification of prescribed medications within regulatory guidelines, company policies and procedures. Supports the efficient workflow of the pharmacy and assists the pharmacy manager in identifying ways to optimize pharmacy financials, inventory management and enhance customer experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Customer Experience

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues in a timely manner and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.

• Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).

• Develops strong relationships with most valuable customers by anticipating customer needs and proactively offering services. Supports efforts on enhancing customer experience by increasing focus on healthcare services (e.g. patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and perform retail, clinical, or wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness) thereby promoting the shift of the pharmacy role from transactional to interpersonal.

• Participates and assists in community events as requested by Store Manager, Healthcare Supervisor, District Manager or Pharmacy Manager.

Operations

• Under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, counsels patients and answers their questions regarding usage of medicine, side effects, interactions, contraindications, patient information privacy, generics, less expensive medicines, over-the-counter products, and refers to medical provider as needed to ensure medication is taken correctly, health needs addressed, and satisfaction with service.

• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.

• Reviews, interprets and accurately dispenses prescribed medications when necessitated by workload.

• Ensures the pharmacy operates in accordance to regulations, company policies and standards. Assists pharmacy manager with establishing procedures that promotes the efficient workflow of the pharmacy including assigning roles, coordinating activities and soliciting employee suggestions. Responsible for the opening and closing of the pharmacy and shift change duties.

• Ensures the use of all elements of the Good Faith Dispensing policy in conjunction with state and federal controlled substance laws when filling prescriptions. The Product Review/Retail Fill Process Pharmacist has the ultimate responsibility for ensuring that the elements of Good Faith are present.

• Maintains current knowledge of information technology associated with pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus, registers, automation, StoreNET to provide support to customers as well as pharmacy staff. Proposes and implements enhancements to pharmacy systems to further promote productivity.

• Ensures the accurate processing of insurance claims to resolve customer issues and prevent payment rejections. Follows- up with insurance companies as well as medical providers and participates in 3rd party audit.

• Follows-up with medical providers' offices to clarify prescribed medications, dosages, refills, interactions and allergies to suggest alternative medications, and answer medical provider questions.

• Performs retail, clinical, and wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots, diabetes awareness and other preventive healthcare services.

• Assists and supports the pharmacy manager in analyzing performance data including pharmacy financial, customer service, and implementation of procedures for pharmacy asset protection and inventory management. Reviews KPI's with Pharmacy Manager, Store Manager, and Healthcare Supervisor.

• Develops and maintains good relationships with local medical community including physicians, nurses, and other health care providers. Participates in community outreach activities to promote the pharmacy business and further enhance growth opportunities.

• Partners with Central Pharmacy Operations for customer registration, 3rd party reviews, and assists with resolving customer issues to support the Well Experience locations. In virtual environments, conducts virtual product review by following specific company procedures and guidelines (e.g. using specific photographs taken by the technicians sent electronically during the F4 process and reduce transactional tasks).

People & Performance Management

• Assists the Pharmacy Manager with staff hiring and training. Reinforces the direction of Pharmacy Manager in staff performance by coaching, and providing constructive feedback, monitoring customer service, and fostering employee development.

• Promotes teamwork and motivates team members by establishing expectations, monitors and recognizes progress, and fosters a shared vision.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintains current knowledge and skills related to pharmacy and healthcare by reading pharmacy related journals, company publications, and communications. Maintains awareness of developments in retail and management and pursues best practices that would enhance performance.

• Obtains necessary certifications, education credits and training such as People Plus Learning modules as required by the Company.

• Seeks professional development by monitoring one's performance, solicits for constructive feedback, and leverages pharmacy manager and store manager as mentor and coach.

Communications

• Supports the Pharmacy Manager and Store Manager by communicating relevant corporate health and wellness services or strategy information to pharmacy staff.
